First Choice Power has a lot of cool programs in features which position them as a provider that cares about the community. They are part of a recycling program, and they offer grant programs for schools and non-profits. Which we find to be very cool. However, their prices for all of their plans are definitely higher than almost anyone else in Texas selling electricity. Their fixed, variable, and green plans are all higher than the competition. And their rating on the PUC complaint scorecard is very average, although the fact that it used to be poor shows that they seem to be improving their customer experience.
