When calling to correct a billing issue, I had to talk to 4 people including a supervisor. None of them had a professional tone nor vocabulary. I had been a timely customer for my entire term and received a suggestion to &quot;be more responsible.&quot; Way too many problems for the price!

Buyer Beware!!!! Horrible Customer Service!!! Not only do you have to hold forever just to actually speak to a person, they have the worst customer service EVER!!!! Rude and unprofessional!!! I don't look at this co. to stay in business too long. Worst decision we have ever made regarding elect. service.

Legalized Theft!!!!! Started with a 11.2 fixed rate. also added every month $50.0 for deposit.Then gradualy raised rate to 26C/kwh.Many phone calls, kept promising lower rate.I am also a Texas Light qualified Customer -so they lowered it TO 24 Ct/ KWh!!! after 2 years of this I canceled and never got all my Deposit back as promised !!!

I was put with Amigo when another company went under-our bill for the 15 days-$550-instead of wooing a lot of new customers -they quickly more than doubles the rates and didn't bill for 2 or 3 months, wouldn't respond to phone calls or emails-later PUC told them to adjust the rate, they didn't comply-google National Power + Amigo for verification.

They confirmed - in writing - a low rate then billed at higher rate. After months of trying to reach them, they agreed that rate was wrong but would not adjust taxes, fees, etc.. Two other friends treated same way. NOW AMIGO HAS REPORTED THEM TO CREDIT BUREAU EVEN THOUGH THEY AGREED TO CORRECTED LOWER BILL, WHICH WAS PAID IN FULL. Texas State Attorney General has file on them but hasn't taken any action yet.

I just renewed my contact with Amigo energy for another 12 months using auto draft and was giving a rate of 9.4 kwh. I have been very happy with their service this past year and new lowered rates. Amigo energy keep up the good work at helping Texas families save money in these hard economic times.

I signed on with Amigo's variable rate plan over a year ago. My plan expired. I recieved no notification. My bills kept going steadily up til I got a whopper. Upon inspection, I found that my original rates had jumped from less than 9 cents a kw/hr to over 17.2 cents a kw/hr. I contacted the company. They informed me that my contract had expired and they were free to raise the rates. Amigo is no Amigo of mine. I've switched to another company. it has to be better.

I have a contract that says 10.9c per KW. But later learned that rate requires auto draft.

Nothing special to say. I got electricity they got paid. Price was below average for the term at the time. I think I will go with a one year or less for the term rather than a two. May or may not stay with these guys.

i have been calling this company since yesterday and it only says that the number is no longer in service. and for the last four months they have been over billing me for late fee for one day of $25. I told them that i was on oxygen 24/7 and recv and monthly ck on the 3rd of the month and when i forst got with them that was working out that way and when i kept talking to them about it they said we have never done that but that is a lie because i have all of my statements.

I would not purchase Amigo again! The thing i dislike the most about Amigo is that, i have used their service for alittle over a year now. I have never been late paying my bill! So i just happen to pay my bill online and the soonest the payment would be recieved was only day after the due date! One Day! So they send me a disconection notice and would not take the fee off for disconnection notice extra $$$!!!! Being a first time offence and they did get payment you would of thought they would excuse that so they didnt and know i am looking for New Service! You must take care of your good paying customers some times. If you want to keep them!

Never fall for door to door salesman. Price is ok, but billing and services are an absolute nightmare. They just cant seem to straighten my bill out. Try to avoid this provider if u rely on smooth and dependable service.

My payment was credited to someone else account. Even after phone call, Amigo Energy cut off my electric line. Only after numerous phone call and letter to PUC finally I get my account credited back. Never use this company again.

If you wish to wait for hours to talk to a live person, this is the company for you. Customer service here is most likely 3 people and a dog. GOOD LUCK, I am getting away as fast as I can!

These guys are the worst, When you call for customer service, they put you on hold forever, and then the call drops when you are in the middle of your call happened several times (funny though, I called the Spanish number and got through just fine) I like to pay my bills on line, but the online bill pay won't work if you are late, actually, after 3:00 the day before the due date. Then the real killer, Someone forgot to note that I payed my billm and they cut off my electricity by mistake. I can't wait till my contract is over

I had NPC energy, and was switched to Amigo after NPC stopped serving Houston. We received a contract that stated that Amigo couldn't raise our rate by more than 10%. Amigo refused to ever send us a bill, and then when we finally disconnected we got a double bill charging us at more than DOUBLE our rate we had with NPC, plus a late fee even though they failed to send out the bills!

I was merged into Amigo energy and went without a bill for awhile. When I finally did get a bill, it was over $500 and they were charging me at a rate of 25 cents. This was a huge increase, and I wasn't given any notice at all of the change and my rates didn't remain the same. When I called, they told me that the post office was to blame, even though I eventually got bills from July and TWO from August!
