Texas Electricity Ratings Site Rules

When submitting content to TexasElectricityRatings whether in the form of reviews, editorials, comments, message board posts, ratings or your profile page the following are inappropriate:

  1. Violating the intellectual property rights of a third party
  2. Creating more than one account
  3. Re-establishing an account on TexasElectricityRatings.com after your account has been terminated
  4. Defaming a third party
  5. Selecting or using a Member ID or photo that violates someone's trademark rights
  6. Affecting the way TexasElectricityRatings.com displays its pages, such as by framing TexasElectricityRatings.com or placing pop-up windows over its pages
  7. Using any automated means to access the site or collect any information from the site
  8. Using ActiveX, Java, Javascript, cookies, web bugs or tracking technologies (such as HumanClick or Sitemeter)
  9. Collecting any personal information about users through TexasElectricityRatings.com, including, but not limited to, their username or password
  10. Using emails tools (such as "Email this page") to send spam
  11. Sharing your password with a third party
  12. Publishing or using files or processes that pose a threat to the proper technical operation of the system or to the security of other members
  13. Provide any content that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or other computer programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information
  14. Customizing TexasElectricityRatings.com in a way that adversely affects the display of any advertising or promotional links on the site
  15. Requesting search engines to crawl or index any portion of TexasElectricityRatings.com
  16. Modifying or creating variant versions of TexasElectricityRatings' logos or other trademarks
  17. Illegal activity under the laws of California and the United States
  18. Speaking on behalf of TexasElectricityRatings, describing yourself as an TexasElectricityRatings employee or using TexasElectricityRatings letterhead
  19. Posting material containing profanity, vulgarity, hate speech or threats of violence
  20. Including contact or personal information about another individual without their permission
  21. Including any pornographic content (This includes any sexually explicit pictures.)
  22. Submitting content on a product/topic that is reasonably likely to offend a person looking for information on that product/topic
  23. Harassing another member
  24. Publishing the same review more than once. A review may only be published more than once if the review compares two products and there is at least a 100 word difference between the two reviews
  25. Using advertisements, paid links, affiliate marketing, or any form of link spam.
