Save Money with Vista!

(5 / 5)

Vista is a good and convenient way to save money. They came to my door in November and then we started with them in January. I received two notices from Vista that my account was delinquent. I pay my PG&E bill on time so I called Vista to ask why. They looked at my account and saw that PG&E was not facilitating the payment to them. I called Vista twice and both times were because of the delinquency issue. The rep was able to tell me the root cause of the notice so my experience was good and clear. He was also able to answer my questions and Ive had nothing but good customer service from Vista. I know two people who are interested in obtaining their service and I wanna recommend them.

Superb service

After over a decade of SCANA Energy handling my natural gas account I have yet to encounter a problem, nor have I reason to file a complaint.

Good rate - communication - meh

(4.2 / 5)

I checked these guys out having moved to ATL from Houston. We have deregulated Electricity in Texas, but not Natural gas. Anyway I signed up for the intro rate and waited to get hooked up. NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AT SCANA. I had to call Scanna to make sure my connection was scheduled. A bit of a pain. but it all worked out. Happy so far.

It's Decent

(3.8 / 5)

Overall, I have not had any serious problems with the company. They have okay customer service, sometimes it can take a while to get a representative on the phone but it all works out in the end. Prices are pretty good and the company is reliable.

Ok, Not Great. Also not the worst

(3.6 / 5)

I had Georgia Natural gas for about 2 years. They were fine, until a nasty winter and my gas was off for a couple days. Then my rates got way jacked up, and I have no idea why. I switched to Scanna, and have since been bathed in the warm glow of their natural gas embrace. There bills are cheap.

Intro Rate danger

(3.4 / 5)

Signed up for the .19 per therm intro rate. After 2 months rate increased to .56. Expected a nice low bill. Got slapped with one that was $156.00. Not what I expected. Not cool. Called up customer service. They offered to switch me to a fixed plan. So I switched to fixed.

I mean, it's Gas

(3.2 / 5)

I had a fine experience with True, I guess. Their rates were ok, and I never had any billing issues. If I don't have anything to complain about, I guess that's doing pretty good, right?

Avoid like the plague!

(2.6 / 5)

I was a customer of SCANA energy for 2 years in an apartment I shared. The rates varied greatly and the customer service reps never gave me a direct answer of why this would happen when we lived consistently the same way. Upon the end of our lease at the apartment Consumers continued to bill us despite the fact our lease had ended and we had provided them with a proof of the end of our lease. We had to pay two more bills than we should of, and threatened to send our bills to collections during the period of time we spent trying to get the issue resolved. If you have the opportunity to use another company, I would recommend that you do so!

Displeased customer

(2 / 5)

I recently switched my business account to StarTex Power where they say their
customers are treated like a star! This is the farthest from the truth! I have
found that their customer service people are rude and of no help at all! I would
strongly discourage anyone from signing with this company. I have switched
and will never consider them in the future!

Frontier utility's trash all around

(1.8 / 5)

I give frontier a zero star rating prices are great but with that their services are horrible, customer service? There is no service, only time I ever can get a hold of them is when they disconnect my power. I myself work 16 to 17 hours a day always out of town for work their suppose to email me my bill but never got a email once just paid a 231.11 bill and their still charging trying to charge me another 285.00 because I've had no service with them in two months called customer service they told me my power would be on in 2 to 4 hours but still no power talked to a supervisor and he told me to call back tomorrow because my account was suspended but yet they still took my money and said my power would be on but again it's not, so pretty much they've stolen my money or robbed me whichever way you wanna see it as, so no I would not recommend this power company to anyone, be smart on who you give your account number to because you'll get scammed just like I did

Do they even know what Average biling is?

(1.6 / 5)

I signed up with them ON an average plan, not switching plans but signed up on an average plan.. It's been how many months now? And in the middle of july where the AVERAGE bill this time if year would be nice.
Never trust "friends" who drag you into trying things. Never should have changed. Going to now, they can eat that $300 bill

The World's WORST customer service

(1.1 / 5)

Bounce Energy has the world's WORST customer
service ever. If the plans are a lot cheaper in
Bounce Energy, I would recommend to choose any
other companies out there. When you call, they
will make you spend at least 30 minutes to
solve your any kinds of problems. Their
representatives have nothing that they can do,
and will ask to find out the problem or
transfer you to another department while
holding you on. Even they are doing, they make
mistakes with every single things. Then they
don't know what happened, after those mistakes
are made. Their calls are hung up so easily in
my area, and they will never call you back even
though you request. Sometimes, even those
representatives are VERY RUDE!! They yell at
your ear on the phone. At least one thing to
remember.... If you don't wanna spend your
precious time with clumsy, rude customer
service representatives, don't choose this
company.

Pushy an dishonest door to door salesmen

(1 / 5)

Someone came to my door looking very official. I already knew what this was about since I already signed up with someone else 2 weeks ago to North American Power. They offer a $50 Visa card after the first month and another $50 after 6 months. However they charge 12 cents for the first 3 months and 14 cents for the remaining 9 months, so since I'm using around 500 Kwh a month, I would be paying like $9 more a month for 9 months (PSE&G is generally around 12.2 cents) which would mean around $81 more, so the $100 should cover that! Luckily the gas didn't go through since the agent transposed 2 digits on the bill. Lucky because they actually charge 73 cents per therm, while PSE&G is only like 37 cents!!! WTF?!

Anyway when this guy from APG&E came he had this story how he's going to make sure my bill is equalized and fixed or whatever bull**** they are making up. I told him I know exactly what the story is. I showed him my bill and he was trying to tell me that the way PSE&G breaks down the 500 Kwh into parts, like you pay 12.23 cents for the first 340 Kwh, then you pay say 12.41 cents for the next 160 Kwh, and finally 12.39 for the last 55 Kwh is a big problem and he's going to make it all go away by having me pay a fixed 13 cents all year round. He was saying prices go up in the summer. Yeah but the variable rate based on usage isn't a bad thing, it varies by how much you're using which seems pretty fair to me. Anyway at 13 cents I'd be paying like $5 more a month, and someone who owns a house would be paying at least $10 to $20 more a month!

Anyway beware of these pushy salesmen trying to make you switch because very often your usual utility is giving you a damn good deal that you can't really beat with anybody else! So much for "energy choice" If you really wanna save a BUNDLE just put some solar panels on the roof, it tends to cut your bill to like half!

Run from this company!!!

BEWARE OF DOMINION!

(1 / 5)

I signed up with them for a year contract because it was a dollar cheaper after receiving a letter from them. There was not much explanation when I signed up but I was saving money! I called to cancel in Nov and was told to call back on the last day so I wouldnt miss you on the 2.67. I called back on the Nov 30 and canceled with Savannah who thanked me and offered me a new contract I declined. I then received a bill from my gas company with a charge from them!!!! At the variable rate!!!! I called and was told by John to call Peoples since they dont bill and then called peoples who told me to call them back. Savannah then assisted tonight and told me that after you cancel you have 1 to 2 billing cycles to have it off the bill. THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED! now Im stuck paying the variable high rate at the coldest time of year with nothing but a meaningless apology

Monster Calling Itself a Business

(1 / 5)

They came door to door and told some pretty fabulous lies to convince me to switch. The fact that it all seemed too good to be true should have alarmed me. I always say you get what you pay for, and the information I received should have warned my brain that this had to be a ;lie. The price rate was a few pennies more, but I was told that enTrust would pay for my cost to switch from my contract which was a lie. Then they said that I was not told that based on their verification process. leaving me owing my previous company ab early release fee. am about to pay my second bill with them. From the very beginning I was told my due date will be the fifteenth . a day or two before the first die date, I received a letter threatening disconnect. The bill was paid as planned and was on time. The second payment fur on 15th . Operator had no phone number that worked for enTrust. Ended up having to find a bill to call them because couldn't contact online without an account number. When I did reach them, I just paid it on the phone. Boaw it's time to pay bill #3 . The representative, Jessica, called to inform me that the due date is the 14th and that the due date changes from month to month based on the number of days in the month. So they had sent me two disconnect notices ( the first two not having a reminder; the third having this callasa reminder plus notice) and the third one oas sent on the 17th, and they were charging me $15 for sending it. I never did get my contract for my account and am trying to reach the Texas Utility Commission concerning these practices in relation to the state cde of ethics. Anybody wanna join me?

Worst experience EVER. Do not use!

(1 / 5)

Right off the bat I payed a $175 payment I was told was my deposit due to my lack of rental history BEFORE I even had an account. The day before my move in day, my apartments manager let me know I wasn't found on a light company. When I called I was told that they never started up my account, yet they took my money. Now on my second months bill, I am being charged another $175 on top of my bill. I called and spoke to a representative who I had to tell multiple times I wanted to speak to a supervisor who finally transfered me. After finally get ahold of a manager, whose name was Anna I believe, she explains to me my second $175 charge was my deposit. When I explained in full detail I had already payed it she panicked, put me on hold and hung up on me. I called back getting the same representative from the first time, I immediately asked for another manager and was given Anna again who after a very very long hold period told me I then OWED more money. After going back and forth on and off hold as they are trying to figure out what THEY had to of done wrong, I am told they will have to call me another day after trying to figure out if I can even get a credit or refund. I am then told they will call me tomorrow morning after they figure out how to get my deposit where it should have been. THEN was HUNG UP ON AGAIN. I have received no refund or even clarity of the situation and now in fact owe even more money for what I was explained, absolutely no reason. To end this whole disastrous review, if you haven't already, DO NOT USE THEM. They are scammers they have no customer service skills at all.
