Excellent Company

  We have always done a 6 or 12-month fixed rate with Infinite. They have always been competitive, no hidden fees, and extremely easy to contact. We found their Facebook Site (https://www.facebook.com/InfiniteEnergy) and have used this to message them a couple of time with rapid response to us.
We have ALWAYS gotten a renewal notice two months in advance, and have found it really easy to contact them by phone or internet and to use their website for information and account management.
Our bills have been low low low and we are thinking about doing a 36 month fixed rate with them now.
We are really glad we found these folks!

Excellent experience with Bounce Energy so far

  Have been with them for over a year now and love it! Great customer service, no problems with billing or payments, and awesome rewards! We signed up for auto-billing and have had no issues. Their website is easy to navigate, they send weekly electricity usage statistics, and have some pretty decent loyalty/rewards programs (3% cash back, free movie tickets, etc).

I have been personally quite happy with them! I also saved $100 on my first bill.

Good company & service, but not as competitive

  I've had my service through Champion for around 2 years, but now making the jump to a competitor with significantly lower promotional rate for new customers. The competitor's customer ratings are similar, so I'm hoping for similar experience.

New Charges

  As with several other customers of Champion, I was really happy when I made the change to Champion. Now I am regretting it. These additional charges from Oncor are boosting my monthly bill around $50.00 a month. Look at your bills, PLEASE. It does not say Oncor it says TDU Pass-Through charges. You may be riding on an old contract that does not have these charges so buyer beware when you renew. In the past Champion did not have these charges, I scan and keep all of my bills so when looking back on the older bills these charges were not there. This totally defeats getting a really good KWH rate. I will be looking to cancel my contract with Champion and moving onto another provider. Note to Champion.....some times it is just better to raise YOUR rate to absorb these Oncor charges rather than placing an additional charge on our monthly bill. So disappointed and I have been a long time customer. Many friends are cancelling over this also.

Bad Customer Service & Billing

  Had a few run ins with their billing and customer service department. One time, my electricity provider randomly got switched to another company (not Dynowatt's fault - just a mix up in addresses) but Dynowatt as my provider on contract was responsible for fixing it and they didn't. I had to beg Oncor to help. It took 4 weeks and lots of phone calls but we finally got it fixed - no thanks to Dynowatt (would have thought they wanted my business, guess not). The second was they didn't correctly apply our payment so we got a termination of service letter, even though we paid and they deposited the check on time. We had to fax them a copy of the cleared check to prove that they had our money. This is basic business practices.

Cirro System Conversion Problems

  I've been very happy with Cirro Energy for several years. My contract was up for renewal in November, so I tried to renew in October. The site wouldn't work, so the CSR told me to wait about two weeks until the system conversion was done. I renewed on October 18, 2014, and received a confirming e-mail. As of December 1, my contract shows to have expired, my renewal seems to have never happened, and now I am being billed at the market rate. I was just on hold for 30 minutes, only to be told they would have to put my account in investigation mode, and it would take another billing cycle for them to call me back. So far, the NRG sale has Cirro totally screwed up.....

direct pay problems

  Never had a problem until my credit card expired. Spark did not notify and sent a collection letter. I tried to set up new credit card for direct pay but was informed they don't except credit cards for direct pay anymore. I asked them to send statements so I could pay the old way and they did start sending statements but each one has "DO NOT PAY" "FOR YOUR RECORDS ONLY" and "Payment will be drafted on the due date" printed all over the return portion of the statement. Very confusing !!

I've moved on to a company that will accept automatic credit card payments.

txu a company of deception

  Txu claims they are trying to help you save energy. Instead they charge you more if you use less. They say they have a 24 month fixed rate plan when it is really a variable rate plan based on the amount of energy you use costing more if you use less or more than some figure they come up with. Their customer service is rude and act like they are the only electric company. Ater being a customer for more than 35 years they told me there was nothing I could do about it. They are not cheaper than their competitors.

Infinite Energy Poor Customer Service

  Unclear contract led to dispute about a monthly charge that equated to a full month of power cost. Spoke to customer service for 30 minutes about addressing the issue but to no avail. Seems silly to alienate a customer who is renewing his or her contract in two months but that's how they handled the situation.

Beware of this company! Do not use!!!

  I signed up with Gexa due to a low introductory rate of 5.9 cents per kwh. After three months of service I was automatically switched to a month-to-month plan that shot my rate up to 13.5 cents per kwh! As a result my bill went from $110 to $230! I was never notified that the rate would jump this much from one month to another. I called customer service to see if they could adjust my bill and they refused to do anything. I disconnected my service and switched to another provider immediately. I have also filed a complaint with BBB and will never use this company as long as I live.

Just Say NO!!!!

  This is without a doubt the WORST company for "customer service." I have just been on hold for 40 minutes in their "Customer Care" 800 number hell. I paid my October bill, on time, in November. I kept getting dunning letters which I ignored because I had paid my bill as always, using my bank's direct transfer service. After getting a letter threatening to cut off my power, I called them to see what the problem was, as the amount had been debited from my bank account on the payment date, but apparently never made it to my Ambit account. I have sent them everything they have asked for to prove the payment, it is now two months later, Ambit still "can't find" the money, and they again are threatening to cut off my power over my "past due" October bill (the succeeding November and December bills have been paid). So so so so very frustrating!!!!!!
