  Been with them - what 2 or 3 years now? I dunno - time flies when your energy service is hassle free. Was formerly with sparkenergy, and when they fell out of my service area for whatever reason it was, I don't know, I was sorely anticipating that I wasn't going to do as well again. But then found Champion - whoo hoo! Automatic/recurring billing via Credit Card, set it up and forget it, competitive rates which are promised and delivered, and no weird surprises or weird billing issues (a common complaint across many service providers). I could list all the problems I am NOT having, but it would be too too long! Glad I found you.

Terrible business operation - liars

  Upon cancelling utility service with Stream Energy I received a bill marked FINAL INVOICE (yes, in caps). This billing included a notation previously invoiced amount, cancellation charges, total current charges due on a due date, and the due date, totaling $264.64. I paid the TOTAL PAYMENT DUE on the FINAL INVOICE, well in advance of the PAYMENT DUE DATE, only to receive, three weeks later, a dunning notice (on bright yellow paper yet) for an amount listed on the previous FINAL INVOICE as 'previously billed'. As that amount was itemized on the FINAL INVOICE was one not to assume it had been included in the TOTAL PAYMENT DUE? When I asked the customer service person to speak with a supervisor I was told they could not connect me, and that they do not have the ability to call back on issues like this... in other words, go away.

There is not a path to supervision or dispute mediation, only a threat of collection an the ruin of your credit rating. VOTE NO for STREAM.

Very unhappy customer

  I received my latest bill in the mail on Friday, Nov 10. The statement was printed Oct 31st. That's 10 days for me to receive the statement. The payment was due on the 16th. Something's already wrong here. Considering that there was no mail on Saturday for Veteran's Day and the next available mailing day was Monday the 13th, that's 3 days - close but as their location is local, seemed like enough time.
Apparently my check never made it to the bean counters. I received a rather dunning email saying that my payment was late. I called Texpo to see if it had been received yet. The young lady was arrogant and would not even consider that the check was lost or working through their system. I was assumed to be a deadbeat. I asked about a physical location to deliver the payment in person. There is none!! They have no physical presence in Houston. Where are they, in New Delhi?
I was obligated to stop payment on the check, which I did in person at my bank and took care of the bill on-line. That's money that I did not want to spend and time which I did not want to squander.
I will not continue with this worthless and disrespectful organization. It costs $175 to break the contract. Well worth it. Dont even consider Texpo.

Texpo gets even worse

  This is a follow up to my previous review that has not been posted as of this writing. Texpo, having given me just three days to pay my last bill, sent me a dunning email informing me that my payment was late. I realized that Texpo or the USPS must have lost my payment. I called Texpo in an effort to pay the bill in person, but the arrogant millennial that answered the phone said that was not possible as they had no physical location. She was lying. I asked if the payment had arrived and she rudely said no and that my service would be disconnected if I did not pay very soon.
So I stopped payment on the check at expense to me, and payed the bill online plus the penalty. Today I received an even more malicious letter from Kevin Meers, who presumably works at or for Texpo. The letter threatened cancellation of service in addition to legal action. I have had it with these vituperative dregs of society. I would have never known just how evil these people were if they or the USPS had not lost the payment. Up to this episode I would have ranked them as OK. Im glad I found out.
Please do not consider this company as a provider. Thanks for reading.

Repeated Dunning Notices for Early Termination Fee that was promised to be waived if Imoved

  You may cancel without penalty if you move to another location and provide evidence of the move, such as a forwarding address and any other reasonable evidence that you no longer occupy the service location and you agree to provide us with at least 14 days advance notice of your move date.

This is what their booklet and reps continued to tell me yet I provided a months notice and forwarding and am still getting dunning calls and bills. I paid the entire usage off in full so they are just trying to squeeze the $300.00 ETF that they told me repeatedly I don't owe, out of me.

Just Say NO!!!!

  This is without a doubt the WORST company for "customer service." I have just been on hold for 40 minutes in their "Customer Care" 800 number hell. I paid my October bill, on time, in November. I kept getting dunning letters which I ignored because I had paid my bill as always, using my bank's direct transfer service. After getting a letter threatening to cut off my power, I called them to see what the problem was, as the amount had been debited from my bank account on the payment date, but apparently never made it to my Ambit account. I have sent them everything they have asked for to prove the payment, it is now two months later, Ambit still "can't find" the money, and they again are threatening to cut off my power over my "past due" October bill (the succeeding November and December bills have been paid). So so so so very frustrating!!!!!!
