    Great promotional rates!

     I've had Summery Energy for almost 15 months now. I signed up with them summer 2013 because they had a great 12 month promotional rate. I've had no problems, there have been no hidden fees, I read the Electricity Facts Label and they have billed accordingly. I'm surprised at the reviews on here, not getting bills, not getting notified about rate change, etc. I do auto pay, get a bill every month, was notified in plenty of time when my contract would expire and what the variable rate it would increase to if I did not choose a new plan. I renewed summer 2014 for an additional 3 months because they again had the best rate for a short period and I'v received my renewal notice with plenty of time to renew with them or switch to a new provider.

    Read your contract, print your documents, you shouldn't encounter any problems with these guys if you do your job.

     I have not had the opportunity to choose electric company in about 10 years, but I recently moved and had to choose. I chose TriEagle and other than the first month everything has been fine. The first month was a bit of an issue with me since I received a $4.95 monthly charge plus the electricity consumption for just 5 days. I was not happy paying the $4.95 for such a short period. I understand things a little better now...not from the customer service rep, but based on my own research. My 12 month plan is about to expire and based on the powertochoose site today I do not see a reason to go elsewhere.

     Just energy disappointed me at the beginning when I signed on for a new account. I signed on for one year, but when I received my first bill it listed my contract for three years. I called and disputed this contract but they advised that their records reflected a 3 year account, Since the rate was reasonable, I did not pursue a prolonged complaint process. On November 18, 2017, I received a notice that my plan will expire on 1/2/2018. "NO TERMINATION FEE SHALL APPLY IF YOU TERMINATE YOUR CONTRACT 14 DAYS PRIOR TO 1/2/2018. AND IF YOU CALL US AT 1.877.240.3931 YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME WITHOUT A TERMINATION FEE.
    I contacted a Just energy rep to advise that I was changing to another provider and wanted to notify Just that I was changing and inquired about the termination fee. The rep said no problem, there's never a termination fee. But When I received my final bill, there is a $175 exit fee - which to me is the same as a termination fee. This is really deceptive and misleading to the customer. I plan to pursue this deceptive practice with the Public Utility /commission and Texas Attorney General Office. Even though I will pay this disputed exit fee, I am now very distrustful of just Energy and will not recommend Just Energy to my friends or family.

     Not happy with the $150 delivery charge on this months bill. I renewed my contract last month and locked in at a lower rate. While my usage was higher this month I expected the bill to be lower because of the lower rate. (.097 vs .122). The bill was higher.

    Please explain $150 delivery charge and why it is not any any of my previous bills.

    Your delivery charges were not raised. Your current bill may look slightly different than your previous bill as the structure of our products changed. Delivery charges are passed through directly from the utility. Regardless of who your provider is, all providers pass these charges directly to customers without mark up. Previously some of these charges appeared on 2 places on your bill - bundled in your energy charge and as a separate line item. After 19 minutes of listening to your on-hold music I hung up. Poor customer service if you don't have enough people to answer phone calls from new prospective customers.

    The Worst Utility Experience Ever

     I had been a customer for 6+ years, but when I tried to negotiate a new plan and waive the cancelation fee, they account services could not answer simple questions. The price of energy is at lows for the last 10 years, and I felt that they were not offering plans that were more affordable. I explained that if they would not waive the cancelation fee for a new plan with them, I would pay it to move my service elsewhere. The Rep I spoke to tried to convince me that it cost Reliant money to cancel my existing account, and didnt even attempt to treat me as though I was important to them. Instead he continued to explain what Reliant offered me (um, electricity billing). I will do everything I can to divert anyone else shopping electricity to never consider Reliant. Texas electrical plans are confusing enough, so dealing with people who dont even know their own products is terrible. Posting the same on their Facebook account about Reliant.

    Upfront rate may look great but be careful their customer service sucks and they get more money out of you just slamming you with so many changes. They even charge you $5 charge just for paying your bill on time because youre supposed to pay with auto pay. If for some reason your credit card declines they will slam you with another $25.

    They are just greedy..

    I never go back to them. NO ONE SIGN UP WITH THEM.

This was a huge increase, and I wasn't given any notice at all of the change and my rates didn't remain the same. When I called, they told me that the post office was to blame, even though I eventually got bills from July and TWO from August!

     So I'm on a one year plan. At the end of that plan I forgot to set a reminder and DP didn't bother to remind me either. What they did was double my KWH rate instead. I didn't notice in the spring because we don't use much electricity. This summer I looked at my bill and got a shock. Rate went for 8c per KWH to 18c per KWH - without notice.

    That's absolutely stealing, gouging and taking advantage of a customer base. I called to get resolution and got absolutely none. My bill that should have been $200 was $450. Customer service is piss poor at best, had to go through India and two supervisors to be told "Tough, you owe us." Feel free to sign up, but set a reminder or they'll steal from you too. I'm on hold as I write this. If you're seeing it, it means they chose to end the relationship poorly. I am giving them the choice of whether they handle it ethically or I post this review. Final answer "Sorry, we won't help".

     The Cirro Energy recently merge with Power Express and they bill me twice for one month. Once by Power Express and again by Cirro Energy, each for 15 days interval. I had a contract with Power Express to receive $80 rebates if my usage was more than 800 kwh, Power Express honored the contract and refund me $40 for 1/2 month. Cirro Energy refused to honor it even though they indicated that my contract with Power Express will be honored with same term and pricing. I spend 1/2 hours talking to Cirro Energy customer service without any resolution. This was my first dealing with them and they are terrible company. Stay away from them....

     No concern for customer service. Bounce energy has no problem putting you into a contract but when you ask questions about it or why your bill will exceed over a 65% increase once it expires they simply say they dont care and its not their problem.
