An Electric Provider with INTEGRITY

(5 / 5)

I have been a loyal customer with Ambit for over 6 years. Along with the fair pricing I also enjoy the rewards vacation and the referral program allowing me to get FREE electricity.

Great service, save right away with referral: APanfalone56166

Moved out from California and have been with Champion for about 2 years now. I've been completely satisfied with their service, the prices are very competitive, and their analytics help set expectations as to what your bill will be as well as what it has been for previous years. The referral program is also a great way to save, and help others save as well.

Satisfied Customer,

(5 / 5)

First annual renewal, received a very competitive rate, great to see they value retaining their existing customers as much as gaining new ones.

Great so far!!!

(5 / 5)

I switched from TXU because my rates were steadily increasing. I was on a variable rate plan that coincided with natural gas prices rising to 11.1 before I couldn't take it anymore. I switched 4 months ago and could not be happier! I have saved $80.00 a month so far. Customer service has treated me great so far and I plan to stay with Cirro as long as possible. I honestly do not know why there are numerous negative reviews. My experiences have been positive.

CHEAPEST & BEST PROVIDER

(4.7 / 5)

Reliant Energy gave me a FREE Energy Monitor. I average 45% Cheaper than my neighbors. I have few outages. I pay 5 Cents / KWH. My average TOTAL ELECTRIC BILL is $122 / Mo. I got a FREE Energy Analysis with a A+ Rating! Netpique LLC - is a BAD Place to work. Reliant needs to change contractors. Execellant Reps in Reliant Customer Service.

Very good experience

(4.6 / 5)

I used StarTex for several years because they had very competitive rates but as of late the rates have not been as good, so I switched to a different company. However, while I was with StarTex I was very happy with them. Switching away was no problem in fact they called me after I had switched and wanted to know why... when I told them, they said they would be able to offer me a private competitive rate to keep my business but I had already signed the contract. I'll call them again when this contract is up!

Contract Renewal

(4 / 5)

StarTex has always been a good company in the four years that I have been with them. When it came time to renew my contract, customer service tried to work with me on my rates and could only offer me a nine months contract ( I was hoping for six months) with a slightly higher rate then previously. I took it because I never had any problems with them and they have never had any hidden fees. The only thing that I have found disappointing is that within 4 days of my contract renewal, rates dropped below where I was previously. Especially, because when I originally contacted StarTex about possibly keeping my previous rates for renewal, it couldn't be done and now the rates are lower. I may consider switching companies in the future if it means lower rates and a better monthly contract.

Pleased!!

(3.8 / 5)

I am another customer who is actually writing to say something good. I switched from Txu charging me 13 cent a kwh, and I locked in with stream at 8cent numbers don't lie. So I have been very pleased with the price difference. I pay by bill on time so have no reason to deal with customer service or have my electric cut off. But like everything else everyones experiences are different.

Too expensive!

(3.4 / 5)

After looking a www.powertochoose.org I feel like I am way overpaying for electricity. I don't see a single company on that site that is charging more than I pay. My contract just started again, but at these rates I will have to make a change. Rates raise in the middle of a billing cycle with no notice.

Overall, the worst!!

(2.6 / 5)

First Choice offers what appears to be a good package with the pre-paid service which includes free weekends and then after 60 days, if you meet certain qualification, you can enroll in a post-paid account with no deposit.

I met those qualification, and enrolled in a post-paid account. My online account even showed that I had been enrolled and a service start date. Within about a week I kept receiving messages about my pre-paid service, but I initially ignored them as I had enrolled in a post-paid account and service had been started. This past weekend I received a disconnect notice regarding my pre-paid service. Obviously, that was a bit alarming. I contacted first choice for assistance only for them to tell me that an order cancellation was done on my post-paid account stating that the "customer" did not submit documents (ssn card, etc.) I The rep told me I should have received a call or email. I checked through all my voicemail and email and other than the congratulatory email stating I was not enrolled in a post-paid account, there was nothing requesting any type of documents.

Here's the kicker. Even through I had all the supporting evidence to show that I had followed the correct procedure and there was an obvious amount of neglect on the part of First Choice, I am being made to use a pre-paid account for the next 60 days to re-qualify for a service I had already signed up for, and that the representative could see.

Really, First Choice is a worthwhile power company, however; customer and doing the right thing, you won't get that here. they advertise these great packages but don't know how to keep customers. I will be switching companies and will be advising all those whom I've referred to do the same as First Choice based upon the available information really could have done much better.

Power Hungry

(2.4 / 5)

Has had Reliant for service for over 6 yrs. Went from .15/klh to only .12/klh. Not much savings for loyalty. The usage monitoring weekly are somewhat useful, but expect more from a company that just collects money.
