  I saw some stuff about Bounce Energy on Facebook and I was already thinking about switching companies. Love the rates, rewards, emails that tell me how much electricity I have used this week, etc. I was with TXU and I cut my bill in half. Not to mention TXU never gave me a thing for being a long time customer. Bounce energy actually seems to care about you as a customer and I've never even spoken to anyone there. Highly recommended.

  I have been with 4change for about 3.5 years now and not one time Ive had an issue with my bill or anything. This is by far the best electric company that i have use. Try it you wont regret it.

Multiple time customer - no problems

  Have had Gexa multiple times - 3 - with no problems. Only reason I change is to look for better rate, new contract, or more renewable content in the generation. They have been exactly as advertised, notified of contract end date. Their new customer rates are very low, with renewal rates about double. If you can manage the company switch at the end of every contract period, they have caused me no problems.

  We have had Reliant for 9 months and it has been pretty good so far. The rates are not too bad, service has been good. There was a little bit of a struggle when I went to renew our plan but they eventually gave us a lower rate.

For the rich.

  If you want electricity for the rich go with TXU. Yes they are great at
mailing me a bill and cashing my checks. But it is 12.8 cents per kWh for
5394 of them. I am switching. By the way, my plan was called TXU Energy
PriceGuarantee 24. The only guarantee I received was to get ripped off for
24 months.

  I have had CIrro for about 2 years. They seem ok. The website isn't great- but it serves it's purpose. Rates seem to be going up every time I renew though. There are a lot of energy companies with lower rates now- but I'm comfortable where I am. Not sure I will move- but might.

Ok but they do not want loyal customers

  I have been with Gexa for the past year and have no complaints, until it came time to renew my rate plan. I currently pay 7.8 cents per kWh, when I went to check the "great renewal rates" they are quoting me 10.4 cents per kWh! However, go to powertochoose.org and they are offering 8.2 cents per kWh for12 months! So I called up Gexa to see what the deal was and they tell me that rate was only for new customers, the best rate they could offer me (a good existing customer) was 9.9 cents per kWh! Oh and did I want to accept that rate and sign up for 12 months now? I litterally laughed at that. This is not new, and not just GEXA, in fact I end up switching electric companies every year just to get a decent rate. Personally I have been switching back and forth each year between GEXA and AMIGO for this very reason. When switching electric companies is one of the easiest things you can do, I just think it is ridiculous that these companies try to blatently screw their existing good customers. I suppose there is a percentage of customers who will not shop around but really? So as a good reliable customer we are going to reward you by increasing your rate by over 20%, but some clown we don't even know will get the substantially lower rate. Get with it guys if anything, proven loyal customers should get even better rates. So until they figure this out, customers are going to be easy come, easy go.

So far so good

  I have renewed for the third time. I am very happy with the electric bills each month.
Had a billing problem last year and I will admit it was frustrating to deal with their call center
of people who appear to not talk to each other or document anything. Had to explain the situation every time I had to follow up on it. It took three weeks to prove to them that I had paid before the due date and they had cashed my check before the due date. My bank couldn't believe how stupid they were.
Since that horror show - no problems at all. I 'm keeping them for now.

issue and Yes they asked me FAX a copy of my check.

System Upgrade Is No Excuse For Poor Management

  I really have had no complaint with 4Change Energy since joining them 3 years ago. However, in December 2015, they sent a flowery email to their customer base, informing us of a fantastic system upgrade that they were about to execute. We would receive a new account number, but nothing else would change. I look at such disclosures as an alert that something is about to take place, and that I should be on guard for a customer scam. I was an EZ-Pay customer (auto withdrawal from my checking account monthly), and they had always done this properly since I originally joined. The fantastic system upgrade took place, and we received another flowery email saying so. However, I noticed that they didn't take the auto-withdrawal in early Feb 2016 as usual, so I called them. The guy said that all was OK and my account would be drawn on 02/08/2016. That didn't happen, so I called that afternoon. The lady said that the system upgrade had left them unable to do auto-withdrawals. I asked why they didn't send an email regarding that. She said that she could take my account info over the phone. I said no, I would login to my account and make a payment, which I did and she confirmed seeing it. I asked what would have happened if I had not called today, and she said in two days I would be disconncted and be charged fees for non-payment. Two days later, after having made the payment, I received a disconnect notice anyway. What the heck is going on here? Customer scam. All the folks who weren't being careful got hit. STAY AWAY from this company. This is my experience, and may not be same as your own.

  Amigo is weak on following their contract and are quick to send you a disconnect notice even thou they did not follow their own contract for electrical service.

2016 Problem Year for 4Change

  In January, 2016, 4Change undertook a huge system upgrade, fouling cust service for several days. Also caused us to be issued a new account number.

When time for annual contract renewal came in April 2016, they emailed a new contract proposal. It was a good deal, with a reduction in rates. I clicked "Yes, I Accept" on April 1, 2016. On May 6, 2016, they repeated the email again as if I had not accepted the previous. It was for a new contract with a 25% rate increase. This came after quitting time on a Friday night, so all of us can stew in it all weekend. Then hit the phone on Monday morning.

Watch these guys. They're generally OK, but you have to watch them.

No power over Labor Day

  They turned my power off over Labor Day Weekend. No remorse, no regard to the fact it was a three-day weekend. I will admit I was at fault...missed the payment deadline by two days. My bad. But Labor Day Weekend? Really folks...and someone told me, I have not confirmed this, but apparently they can't even do that sort of thing if the temperature is over 80degrees. Either way...if you can't help a person out like that then no thanks.
