excellent provider

  I have had infinite for over a year and never had a problem with higher bills. They charge what they say that is in the contract, so the person from carrolton, tx who had a problem with high bills, you probably did not renew your contract. Month to month is going to be higher.

Good company-needs a little tweaking

  I have done a review on startex before and continue to be a current customer. The only thing they need to change is when you want to renew on the 3 month plan that power to choose has for startex, they need to have that available on their website instead of having to call customer service and get a supervisor to override it so you can renew as a current customer. I was told in the past by e-mail that startex treats current and new customers the same so that everyone can get the same rate. How about making it easier for that to happen. I am pleased with them as my electric provider and their customer service is very good. Also they are owned by Exelon now.

Very pleased with Startex power

  I have had Startex off and on for several years and have been happy for the most part. They have never got my bill wrong. The only thing that makes me consider switching is since constellation energy bought them out their rates have gone up and are not near as competitive. If they would offer their current customers better rates when it is time to renew then they would not switch as readily. After looking at the companies who have six month contracts today I find several in the 8.0 to 8.5 per kwh and star tex is at 9.5 for the same 2,000 kwh level. It seems that as you get close to renewal the price goes up just before you can lock it in (within 45 days before). I hope in the future they look at this so maybe they will change and want to keep their current customers. Thanks

VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER OF GREEN MOUNTAIN

  I SIGNED UP WITH GREEN MOUNTAIN AFTER BEING WITH RELIANT FOR MORE THAN 4 YEARS. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT GREEN MOUNTAIN HAS BEEN. I SIGNED UP WITH THE AGREEMENT THAT I WOULD GET A $100 GIFT CARD. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THAT AMOUNT YOU HAVE TO HAVE PAID 3 MONTHS WITHOUT BEING LATE. MY BILL IS DUE THE 6TH EACH MONTH. WHICH IS WHY I KNOW THAT GREEN MOUNTAIN IS LYING -- I MAIL ALL MY PAYMENTS TOGETHER THAT ARE DUE DURING THE FIRST OF THE MONTH LIKE MY SEARS CARD WHICH IS DUE THE 4TH. LONG STORY SHORT I MAILED IN ALL MY PAYMENTS AND THE ONE FOR GREEN MOUNTAIN DOESN'T CLEAR MY ACCOUNT FOR TILL 4 DAYS LATER THAN ALL THE REST. MY BELIEF IS THAT GREEN MOUNTAIN HOLDS CHECKS TO MAKE CUSTOMERS LATE. I REVIEWED MY STATEMENT EACH MONTH AND EACH TIME IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND IS ALWAYS 4 TO 6 DAYS LATER THAN ALL THE REST BUT IS MAILED THE SAME TIME AND GREEN MOUNTAIN IS IN THE SAME STATE!!
