Good team and service

  Duke Energy has a comparison website that one can go to and check the different suppliers and their rates. I got Vista Energy thinking it's gonna save me money. Everything has been fine with the Vista representatives I've spoken to over the phone. Their service is fine. However, the way they do the rates is a little bit different than others. One has to dig into it to figure out if it makes sense or not 'cause at first they had the 'a dollar a day' thing. Yet, the actual kilowatt per hour rate is good. I had to do a little bit of math and it worked out for me. So, if you're considering Vista Energy then check them out and see if it works for you.

  I had previously subscribed with Reliance and they stole my money. They lied to me in my contract. However, I came to Constellation energy and the cancellation fee was $50 only and their prices much cheaper, customer service much better. I am glad that I made the change.

Sales Lady at my door

  I had one of your sales rep knock on my door and invited them in as it was very hot out and she was friendly and said she was just there to help me understand my utility bill better. She asked for my bill which I didn't mind getting since she said that is why she was here and she broke down my bill for me and showed me what all the rates are and meant, I found her very helpful. She then went on to explain to me what SFE energy offers and that I had options when it came to utility rates which I didn't know until now. I decided to sign up as it looked like it would help me and she said we would have to do a verification call to complete the enrollment and other details to confirm my account which was reassuring . Overall I found my experience with her very helpful and she was straightforward, very patient explaining everything to me and wasn't trying to push me to sign anything which I found comforting.

Great rates for NEW customers

  If you are looking for a new company and are thinking about StarTex Power, go for it. However, like with any other company, be ready to make your next move before your contract is about to expire. I have used StarTex for a long time. Unfortunately, their rates went up, so I went away and singed a contract with another company. I contacted customer service a couple of times, and all went great. They speak good English and good Spanish and are professionals.

Exceptional price and customer service

  StarTex is exceptional in all senses of the word. It has always been a very good value and the administration has always operated smoothly. However, I recently had occasion to experience the true test of a really good company and that is when something goes wrong. In this case, an erroneous charge from Cernterpoint was passed thru to one of our accounts.
StarTex's customer service very courteously responded on a continuous basis until the charge was rectified (giving due credit to Centerpoint also).
This may sound simple but it is in stark contrast to the previous large Dallas based company that we had been a loyal customer for years.
In that case an obvious serious problem developed with one of the account's meter readings after the hurricane interrupted service for weeks. This began a nightmare that lasted for over a year and a half with charges up to 10 times normal compounded by accounting errors. This was never resolved in large part due to the lack of real "customer service."

Great company! Give them a CHANCE!!

  I had my first door to door with keisha a couple of months ago.She had an accent and I found out she was from New York. Don't usually talk to anyone who knocks on my door. I was hesitant on giving her my bill, but she was more helpful than anything. She broke down my bill for me showed me my true rate and then explained to me what just energy offers. I have seen the bad reviews from the past and told her I didn't know. She understood didn't push it. I finally said let me sign up cause I felt this really can help me from what she showed me. Everything she told me was true, she was straightforward, very confident, patient and she wasn't trying to push me to get it. Sounds like they just need more door door people with her smile and honesty. I am happy with my bill and will remain a customer. If I had any problems she also informed me to contact her directly so that she is aware and can address the situation as soon a possible. Just Energy does have good people working for them!

Swift and Easy

  My husband and I have been using Truecost.com for years. We regularly shop our rates to make sure we are saving the most money on our electricity. I would say that by far Power-Express has been the easiest supplier we have chosen yet! We will not have power turned on at our new home until next week however, we anticipate that it will be as seamless of a process as signing up has.

What about the little guy, the elder, those on fixed incomes

  This title suited our situation to the "T". Retired, therefore elderly, in good health still, but getting no younger, on fixed income. We were looking at about a 33-50% cut in our income, with energy bills continuing to rise. The options available to us for electricity were no options at all, the cost was too high after the first year. Were there no means of relief? Finally, we went to a website that compared all energy companies in Texas with all their differing plans. There we found a company called 4Change Energy, a company we nor our friends nor neighbors had heard of. But we checked them out,and found a plan the caused my jaw to drop; 1000 kwatts at 4.7 cents /. I called to confirm this was no typo, but legit, it was. the only catch was that I needed to remain at or below 1000 kwatts/ billing cycle or pay another 47$ for any amount over and above 1000. I was unsure if we could achieve this goal, but we signed up and did the best we could. raised the thermostat 2 or 3 degrees in the summer night, 4-5 during the day and installed a propane heater for the winter months, which is very economical. I have to give credit where credit is due, the LORD encouraged us and enabled us to see this plan work for us, we did, it did and we praise God for His wise council. We must thank god also that He showed us this company that has made it possible to maintain our reduced budget and not suffer undue hardships due to high energy costs. Thank you 4Change Energy, may The God of Heaven bless you if you will Bless Him.

Scana Service Report

  I have had Scana for 4 years. Overall their service is of normal quality. My bill is always right. I have no complaints on average, however, the one time I missed a payment they cut me off and forced me to pay the bill in full and do another deposit. Other than that one experience I usually never talk to them or have any issues from them.

Very Pleased

  We had a great experience with Green Mountain. We had the Pollution Free Conserve 12 Choice plan, a 12 month fixed rate plan. We selected the plan online at powertochoose.org, and the transition from our old company to Green Mountain was seamless. Prior to this, we had a decent introductory rate with Reliant, but our Green Mountain rate was even better. We were continually surprised at how low our monthly bill was. We never encountered any hidden fees or changing rates. Green Mountain took care of the transition service for us, so I never had to bother with canceling our old plan. I love their renewable energy mission - even more so when it's offered at a very affordable rate! I would stick with Green Mountain for another year of service if only we could keep those introductory prices. Definitely recommend this energy company.

Full disclosure: I actually never had any contact with their customer service because we never needed it! However, I didn't want to negatively impact this review by leaving it blank, so I gave it 5 stars like all their other areas of service.

LOVE CHAMPION!

  We just renewed and have been using Champion for over 3 years now and are extremely pleased. The weekly power tracker emails are a great way to stay on top of energy consumption and the few times I've called in to customer service they have been excellent. However, I still decided to do some research with my renewal date coming up. Champion's rates are very competitive, and, based on my experience, it made it easy to renew.

Great Company that does what it says

  I have been with Champion for several months now. You always expect something that is too good to be true to blow up in your face. However this company is the exception. They have delivered on everything they promised-Great customer service; no fine print; competitive low rates, instant help either via phone, chat, or the internet. WOW. I am totally blown away by them. You cannot go wrong with Champion.

  My husband and I just renewed and have been using Champion for almost 3 years now and are extremely pleased. The weekly power tracker emails are a great way to stay on top of energy consumption and the few times I've called in to customer service they have been excellent. However, I still decided to do some research with my renewal date coming up. Champion's rates are really competitive right now. Great Experience!

  I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with their customer service. The website is very user friendly, a little slow at times, however that could due to server issues. Prices are great! And their rewards are even better!!! I was with reliant before and signed up to what I thought was a good deal but was greatly misled and suckered into their trap. But with Bounce I have lowered bills and amazing rewards to help me lower my costs.

Could not be happier!!

  I had been with TXU for 20+ years. I never even thought about looking into my electricity costs......just paid the bill each month. However, a few months ago a door-to-door sales person came by for a different provider. I got him to leave me a little info on his company and I began "googling" about plans in my area. Using the Power to Choose website I came across Beyond Power. Changing from TXU to Beyond Power thru the Power to Choose website was simple............seamless. Lower bills each month!! Couldn't be happier.

great cheap company

  I've been very happy with Bounce. Been a customer for over a year now and no issues at all. Cheap rates. I'm paying 8.2 cents per kwh, and you can customize your plan however you want and they have great rewards programs which you can pick from.
