Best move ever, confused with this site!

  The best thing I ever found on FB was a shared link for Pronto. As a former customer of Frontier and Payless (should be called Paymore Power), I know you must be in bed with Payless. Pronto Power by far has the cheapest rates, you dont need auto pay, you dont need to have over $30 in your account, Pronto rates are simple and easy to under.
Customer service folks offer extensions till my next payday when I cannot make a payment (no charge, thank you for being a customer), one of the main guys there (Aaron) goes far and beyond to breakdown my electricity usage by the hour, shucks he broke it down by every 15 minutes. To start all I had to pay was $9.99, then asked for a payday extension.
Morning text messages around 7am (back up alarm clock), there is no charge on disconnection or to reconnect (this old bird forget to call in) just paid my balance and power was restored in less than 30 minutes.
Paymore Power folks keep calling offer $100 to come back, please guys, "momma always told me, Ruthie Lyn don't get fooled by the glitter." Sorry, I'll stick to Pronto.
Be cautious folks, this site I'm telling you, is in bed with Payless Power, probably making a ton of money to highlight that company (or all highlighted companies willing to bet a disabilty check this site is). On government controlled site PowerToChoose.org you see the real rating, I will leave at that.

  StarTex's customer service rep was excellent. She was knowledgeable and patient when I asked all of the questions that I needed to have answered in order to make the decision to switch electric providers. I had had the same provider for nine years and wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision. Everything was explained very clearly. So far a great experience!

  I was considering changing and found out my renewal rate was in line with all other offers and there is really no reason to leave. I'm blown away by all the bad reviews. To be fair, I've not had to deal with customer service as I auto pay my bill, have not had to move and have not let my contract expire. I don't remember how long we have been a customer, 4 years? But I do remember the savings was amazing. Our average bill is 180 with a 2 story house and a 3rd unit for the room over the garage. Prior to that we were averaging almost 300 a month. I hope some of the bad reviews are old and the customer service issues have been taken care of.

No Problems at All - Great Rate - Perfect Service

  I just renewed with Discount Power and got $0.0794 / kwh for 24 months fixed. I have been with Discount Power for 1 year. When I originally signed up I was concerned with the negative reviews regarding customer service. I went ahead anyway, and carefully followed all of the rules for signup, including sending in their CC authorization form. I have had NO PROBLEMS since signup. Every month they email my bill well in advance of the CC auto-payment, giving me time to question any charges. NO PROBLEMS. RATES AND CHARGES AS CONTRACTED. So it looks to me like folks who can't understand or don't care to follow contract terms probably just shouldn't sign contracts - or write reviews.

This is no joke. After on time paid bills, I got 2 movie tickets, after 1 year on time paid bills I got $50 Visa card.

great choice

  On moving to Texas, we were confronted by choosing an electric company. This was overwhelming. I did research on Texas companies, and read a lot of material. I chose StarTexPower, and have never looked back. The rate I pay is such a savings over my previous experience in another state. There have been no problems with this company. I like the way they do business, and will remain a loyal customer.
