  I have NEVER spoken to anyone through this company except when I set it up. After that any time I would call it would tell me to wait for another avaliable rep, and then it would hang up. My rates have been going up consistently without my knowing. But the icing on the cake was them turning OFF my electricity 3 hours after I had made a payment and then still not ever speaking to a service rep because no one picked up. Definitely should have done more research.

Piss poor customer service

  Customer service reps have bad attitudes and are very unprofessional.(Maria)The website is poorly done and there are fee for online cc payments and automated payment, but no fee if you store your bank account information. This is a big deal to me. I am leaving.

Stay Away!!!!!

  I was an faithful member for almost a year. Unfortunately this company is all about the money and not willing to assist for being 1 day late. I have never been late not once in almost a year, and because I forgot to make a payment, a day later my electricity was shut off. Very unethical thing to do!! I have a child at home with my wife and Ambit should try and contact their customers before shutting off service. I called right away and apologized for being late and explained that if they see my history with them I had never been late once. They simply reffused and stated there is nothing they could do for me. I owed them $58.64. They wanted to charged me a $15 late charge fee, $40 reconnecting fee, and $140 deposit. Total amount $253.63 for being a day late. Absolutely unthethical on any standard of business. Basically their response was there is nothing we can do for you either pay or you won't get your electricity turned back on. I have cancelled my contract with Ambit and NEVER will I return or refer other people to this self serving company that does not care about an individuals situation. I will be paying a little more now; however, I rather pay more than deal with such Ambit Energy!!!!!
