Outstanding service in all areas

  I have two different homes whose service is provided by Power Express. Their people service is great. I do have recurring problems with their web site; it never lets me sign-in, but the "quick pay my bill" button always works despite my having been unable to log-on. I don't get that, either I'm me or I'm not...

  I've had TriEagle for almost 3 years and have to say it's one fo the best companies I've ever done business with! Live customer service people - here in Texas, not in India! And they don't have any of those crazy hidden fees like the other guys.

solid company

  used last year ( 2012) rate was 8.4 cents a kilowatt, renewed this year went up to 9.9 cents
I will stay, but will monitor at end of year...

what I am afraid is, once they get more customers, they will pull a reliant or txu and increase their prices...you know the bait and switch, hopfully, they have a better long term business strategy...

however, I check every year for the best rate, so if it gets out of hand, I will choose someone else...

but for know it is still reasonable, no customer service issues, I like the weekly usage reports...

Good program, but rates not competitive

  I got a good initial rate and the rewards are good if you keep paying on time, but after two years the rates are two cents higher than the competitive rates on powertochoose dot org so I have to switch.

It's a nice service, but not worth a two cent premium. Seriously?

  Have been a customer I think for three years; small company out of the Woodlands Texas; if you call they give the person by name who handles a function not an extension. Straight Forward and simple. They are the cheapest in Houston at .084/kilowatt hour but renewal this month just jumped to .093/kilowatt hour. All the others have minimums or other catch tricks. Even with distribution fees. I own an open 3,100 sq. ft. house with 11-12 foot ceilings and my bill was just $141 for June with temps in the mid 90's. House is set at constant 75 degrees 24/7; not adjusted.... Go TriEagle !!

  I've been with trieagle for a couple years now and I've ever had any problems. My bills comes around the same time every month and I'm always happy with what I'm paying. They have really reasonable rates. Since I never really have any issues I've only had to call customer service once a long time ago but I recall the rep being friendly and helpful. Overall I'm happy with trieagle as my electricity company.

  I read between the lines, when I got the coupon...what they were really saying is that ..

I AM A TURKEY...for over paying them every month for electricity!

quite simply my bill went down 50% after I left them!!!!

I have switched first to reliant for a 6.6 teaser rate ( which went to 13+ the 2nd year , another rip off)

Then I went to tri eagle energy ( very satisfied!)...no complaints...8.4 late year and now 9.9...I am sticking with them!
I suggest read these review and check every year...for the best rate...dont become complacent!

Why TXU should be watched by their customers.

  I recently had a meter reading that was done incorrectly. We had a ridiclously high bill and when we called to see about it, we were told that someone would come and reread the meter. TXU went on to say that the meter was correctly read, to cover themselves. While it was fixed with a surprisingly lower wattage usage the following month, which surprised the company. We are not the only people that this has happened too. I would not trust any bill that they send you and I would go back and check my bills. If you google how to read a meter, you can verify your readings. If they missread your meter twice, you can demand that they switch to a digital meter. I think that is why they are trying to cover up their mistake. Consumers should be aware!!

  Was a faithful customer of this company for 3 years, on autopay...when I switched companies, rather than send me a bill, they sent me to a collections agency. Would not return a phone call.

Taking advantage of homeowner

  This is one of many Houston Retail Electric Providers (REP) that impose a minimum usage fee on homeowners. If you use 1000 kilowatt's or less per month you must pay this fee of $8.99 ($107.00 year). In a time when we all should be seeking to conserve energy this company is encouraging users to use more electric to avoid this fee. This fee amounts to, a fine for conserving energy.

Misleading Electricity Fact Label

  Looking at the their EFL it shows in the summary box low rates for 500 kWH and 1,000 kWh. In the fine print below they do indicate they are going to rip off if you use between 1,001 and 1,250 by charging $.599/kWh!!!!

Customer service.

  I had to call. Customer service 3 times just to finally get someone who spoke some semblance of English that I barely understood. Come to find out they were in Guatemala - could care less where they are - but I only speak/understand ENGLISH!! How utterly STUPID that TXU would farm out their Cust. Svc. call center to where none of their "Cust. Svc." Representatives - can converse understandably and clearly in the language of their customers.

Bye-bye : no longer a customer.

No Customer Service

  In attempting to disconnect when we moved, we discovered that the customer service line is not answered. Ever. Most of the time it hangs up on you automatically. So we tried the email address given on emails: it does not exist. Bounced. Finally, in calling the "i want to begin service" number, we were placed on hold for 18 minutes one day and 36 minutes the next day. Now they are saying that we must cancel by mail (more service for them) because my mother (Altzheimers) is not on the call with me, though I have paid every bill through my checking account and my phone and email are the ones on record. 58 minutes. Extremely poor customer service.
