Reviews from Mart:

Smart team, great prices

(5 / 5)

We got Vista Energy to provide us with gas after they told us that they would be cheaper. And we're glad about that price. It's the same quality it seems to be so it's good. The reps I've dealt with knew what they were saying because nothing has been different from what they said.

StarTex Power Rocks!!

(5 / 5)

I've lived in Texas for almost three years now, and am still in shock over how low my electricity bill is. At first, I had inadvertently signed up for an adjustable rate, (Clueless because in Florida, you do NOT have a choice where power is concerned; on rate, or company.)and when I realized this, all it took was one phone call to get it fixed, at a great rate. No hassle, whatsoever.
I've never had any problem at all with the actual service either. The power has gone off a couple of times with weather, or whatever, but it was always right back on in no time.
A friend, whose house is smaller than mine, was paying more than three times as much as I do for power. She didn't believe me. I literally had to show her my bill. She's a StarTex Power customer too, now! (Smart meter my foot.)
I will absolutely refer people to StarTex Power whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Thank you!

NGE will save you a lot of money if youre a smart consumer.

(5 / 5)

A lot of these negative reviews are from people who dont know how to shop. If you sign up on a 3 cent rate of course your rate is going to skyrocket in month 4. Its like they are offering you a nearly-free trial and you want them to do it forever?! Sign up for a 12 or 24 month plan, shop around when your contract expires and enjoy the savings. Just dont get greedy and expect the low 3 month prices to be the rates you pay all the time.

Excellent Electricity Service and Plans

(5 / 5)

I've had such a great experience with 4Change Energy. I stumbled upon their company when my other plan was up for renewal. I was browsing the power to choose website and I found that 4Change Energy is one of the few companies that does not charge you a "base" price of $5.00-$10.00 a month just to provide you service. I also found that their rates are significantly lower than most other companies. I think my favorite part of this company though, aside from their charitable contributions (and I get to choose which charity)...is that if I use above a certain kwh....4Change Energy CREDITS my account and my bill is lower!! That sealed the deal for me. Plus they recently began sending me a weekly "Smart Usage Report" that allows me to see how much electricity our family is consuming and have an idea of what our expected bill will be. I've been so happy that I just signed up to keep my current rate for another 2 years.

I really liked that everything was all natural as I like companies that are green. Everyone I spoke with was smart and nice.

Highly Satisfied

(5 / 5)

I switched to Green Mountain Energy and they're great! I got the Free Weekends plan with the Nest thermostat. My bill is 20% lower, I can access my Nest thermostat from my smart phone and the sales rep that came to my home was gracious and well informed. The sign-up process was quick and professional. I'm a fan for life!

Good Electric company

(5 / 5)

Its very good electric company and I have been using since 1 and 1/2 year without any problem. After switching to this provider my bill almost reduced to half. Also they have very good reward program and gives you cash back of $50 , $25 etc on time to time like for 3 or 6 months or if autopay chosen. Their rates are decent and didn't get any problems so far and it is very easy to switch to Bounce Energy.

NOT SURE WHY PEOPLE ARE GIVING NEGATIVE REVIEWS. TRUST ME IT IS A VERY GOOD ELECTRIC PROVIDER.

$50 Off First Bill + $50 Visa Card + $15 Walmart Card + 3% cash back

Great AMERICAN Company

(5 / 5)

First off, to all on here mentioning delivery charges being increased by Liberty - Sorry that is impossible in Texas due to PUC Laws. Secondly, most of the problems I see posted here, are not on Liberty but on the Independant Agent you signed with who works most likely for a poorly run direct marketing company.

I am the President of one of the Largest Energy Brokerages in Texas and we have Liberty, TXU, Reliant, Green Mountain, Champion, Direct Energy, Suez, Star Tex and Constellation. The largest and most stable energy company's in the world. All of which follow the same PUC Laws. If I were you people, Id find a new broker, one that knows what they are doing.

Finally, how many of you even know how to read your monthly bills? Looking at the amount and writing a check doesnt constitute understanding. Be smart, use your head and there would be no need for boards like this one.

Finally a REAL time of day rate plan.

(5 / 5)

We're on their time of day rate plan with half price nights and weekends. The daytime rate is comparable to other plans and the off peak times are 50% off with no gimmicks. This is the kind of product I've been looking for since we got our smart meter. We have a pool and running the pump at night has definitely saved us money. We also have a plug in hybrid car and charging only at night and on the weekends has lowered our cost to drive the car which tracks at around 75 mpg. If you can move much of your use to the discounted period you can really reduce your electric cost.

Electric service

Great company...smart phone app helps a lot for keeping track of your bills and payments.

I have been Tara's customer since 2003 and never had to call the customer service.

Innovation, Flexibility, and Convenience

(5 / 5)

What makes Bounce Energy the best REP on the market is that the company consistently looks for ways to connect its customers with great rates, good rewards, and excellent customer service.

Through great technology, you have access to your billing and account information any time of day through the MyAccount app on your smartphone.

You get rewards every 6 months simply for paying your bill on-time each month.

You can reach out to Bounce via Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, phone, and chat at your convenience.

And the company provides a wide range of plans, including the ability to build your own plan - something no other company on the market offers.

30+ Years of Good Service

(5 / 5)

I've been a Reliant customer since 1980. I've considered changed providers over the past few years but, when I read reviews about the other providers, I realize that Reliant is just as good as any of the others. Sometimes I've gotten locked into a price that was higher than I'd have liked but that was my own fault.

I also had occasion to contact Customer Service last year when an obvious error was made in reading my meter (before the smart meter installation). The representative was very helpful and scheduled a re-read of the meter immediately. She did advise me that I'd have to pay a service fee if it was found that the meter reading had not been in error, but the reading WAS in error and my bill was amended right away.

I really like Reliant's Home Energy Audit program and I also really like being able to track my energy usage online by the hour/day/week. Those two programs have helped me focus on how to reduce my energy usage.

On my 2nd contract with Breeze and haven't had a problem.

(4.8 / 5)

I love the business expression service is dependent upon: (a) low cost; (b) fast speed (or turnaround); and (c) high quality - now, please pick 2 as I can only satisfy that much. Today alote of expect all three but don't get it. OK, back to Breeze. Cost - they have been either the least or top 4 lowest cost provider when I did my evaluation. High quality - their pricing model is a FIXED rate versus all of the newer rate products (free nights / weekends, variable rate by consumption (Kwh) consumption - to me, simple is quality for REPs (Retail Electric Providers). Speed - no factor as smart meters have enabled this. Never really used their customer service as the online, website handled most of my needs. Didn't have to leave a deposit - guess my credit rating was good. My current contract is coming up at the end of next month and I see they are in the top 3 for my desired contract term (usually 12 months).

The Best Energy Company I've Used so Far!

(4.8 / 5)

We had had many energy companies in the past and can honestly say Bounce is the best! The package we chose offered the smart learning Nest Thermostat which has been a great money saver! We had some trouble setting up, but they remedied our problems and credited our account for the trouble. 11 months into our relationship with Bounce, we are still thrilled!

Try Them!

(4.8 / 5)

Yes the price of my service has gone up over the past three years, right along with the cost of living, salaries, and medical expenses. I really don't have to think about my service, it's there every time I plug in something and every time I flip a switch. I pay a little closer attention to how many "smart" pieces of electronics we have going and we pay our bill on time. I expect to get paid on time, I'm sure they do too.
I strongly recommend AMBIT ENERGY.

positive feedback

(4.8 / 5)

Proton Energy is a small, but effective provider.

If an end user wishes to have the 'dashboards' or other bells and whistles of higher priced companies ~then it's better to go with a 'bell and whistle' company; but remember, you pay for those things!

Proton has provided me excellent service thus far as a transferred customer from one of the big four, 'bell and whistle' companies who decided they'd in essence gouge anyone they could with absurd pricing... not to call names, but having grown up in TX, I expected my TX Utility provider to be the best for TX (they are not Texans anymore!)...

Proton is small; local; and not heavily staffed~ so when customer service is required, so too is patience...

I've read the negative reviews about this company, but they appear to be from people who want everything in the world to happen instantly and revolve around them (folks ~life isn't a video game where you get to hit reset), and have obviously never owned or operated a small business enterprise; it's not possible to please everyone, all the time.

I'm very thankful, in an overpriced world, to have a provider such as PROTON ENERGY, be available to the consumer to provide energy at competitive prices (actually significantly less than most other providers)... and I am more than happy to work with them to insure the success of their small business through continued customer loyalty they thus far have shown a desire to work hard to achieve.

Major kudos to PROTON for taking on the big guys.

Keep up the good work Proton Energy.

Signed,
Thankful customer for the $s saved...

PS ~you can walk out to your smart meter and read it the same as you can do on the 'dashboard' of big companies by online viewing... seriously, how far is it to your meter? The walk might be good for you! :))

confused

(4.6 / 5)

This gets crazy. My electric balance goes up and down and the days for termination are confusing Yesterday It was good until 1 -9-2014. Today the 6th. It has done that before . I called and was told that it changes and was not an accurate record. What the ... do they even do it for then? I was snakebit when I changed . I had Smart and that was not smart. They are dilatory in all and they owe me 177.00 . I want my money and They came with some kind of... . That is why I complained to the Public Utilities Communion and the Attorney Generals office on fraud. I just want to understand what is going on with MY money. And I do not. How can it be the 9th and then the 6th when I did not have anything on?
