Best First Time Experience

  The day we got approved for our first home to call our own, we didnt know where to look or even know where to look for the basic things we need to live in our home. 4Change was easy to sign up and understand what we were actually being charged. No hidden fees. The Customer Service was easy to talk to and communicate to. We have now had 4Change for almost a year now and I wont go with anyone else. I have not had any issues or unexpected fees. Thank you for 4Change for giving our home the bright light it needed to help us start our familys home.

Works for me...pleasantly surprised!!

  I recently moved and needed quick electricity without a huge deposit. I found Hello Energy online and decided to given them a try. Everything with them has been super easy! I enrolled online and made an initial deposit to get my service going and have been with them for about 2 months now. Honestly, I prefer this to my old standard electricity.... I get an email every day letting me know my balance and this makes budgeting a no-brainer! Once or twice a month I add money to my account to keep it healthy so I don't have to worry about it getting low. For me, this met my needs and has been perfect so far! I love knowing what my balance is all the time, so it really helps me to budget my monthly expenses. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs new service but does not want to pay a big deposit up front or anyone who is watching their budget closely. There's no contract, so it's worth a try...you might be pleasantly surprised like me!

Can't believe my savings

  Had two gentlemen come to my door and say I was pre-approved for a lower rate on my electric bill. I was hesitant at first. They showed me a side by side comparison with my current billing company TXU (comparing apples to apples) & how much I could save. I was shocked TXU was charging me so much and being month to month they informed me my bill could increase every month. Also i was being charged a base charge. I didn't even realize that, now after looking back at old bills, sure enough TXU were gradually increasing my rate each month and had been charging me a $5 charge just to receive my bill. I switched over a few months ago and today googled Entrust Energy to get their customer service number because I lost the one the rep gave me, he said I could call in and switch to average billing if I liked, I ran across this page & felt like I should leave a review. The rep was so nice & left me with his cell number if I had any problems down the road. I have since sent him a lot of neighbors because they were being overcharged as well. Happy & paying around $90 less for a bill I receive anyways. Great company.

  Had no issues with champion. Quick and easy billing, simple to start/renew/find information on my services. They send a weekly summary with a comparison to the previous weeks usage, and an estimation of your monthly bill based on your trends, and several other tools if you click around!

Competitive Plans

  4-Change-Energy offers many different plans to fit each household's needs. Most are fairly competitive. I started with them on an introductory plan and their renewal offer has been competitive enough that I have renewed twice (total 24 months). I haven't had a problem with the company. Sure, my power has gone out, but it has always been a neighborhood issue and not specific to our house. Billing is easy with e-payment.

  We have been with Startex for 6 years and prior to this year (the first year after the buy out of a once great company )they do not care if they retain a customer . Their rates where always one of the lowest couple that with great service it was an awesome deal. I emailed to see if they where offering anything of the est rate to retain a customer and they said no, to bad they are pushing us out the door . Service is not worth the increase in cost over others companys like Amigo

Their rates where always one of the lowest couple that with great service it was an awesome deal. I emailed to see if they where offering anything of the est rate to retain a customer and they said no, to bad they are pushing us out the door . Service is not worth the increase in cost over others companys like Amigo

Horrible service with contract renewal issue

  I chose Frontier Utilities when we finally moved into a house with non-regulated electric provider and until today I was overall very happy. I got a bill that was near double my normal bill even though the usage was barely more. I was so confused. After a very long wait on customer service, I was told that my contract ran out and I received paperwork in May. Well first, I travel for work and I just started a new job so I have been gone a ton. Second, I get emails from them Frontier every week and I never received any reminders, calls or anything. At first, the customer service rep acted like he could help and then he came back and said he was still researching a rate for me but he wanted to let me know there was nothing he could do about this bill. I spoke to him for awhile and asked for a supervisor and he put me on hold for a long time. Then he came back and told me a supervisor would call me back. After quite some time, I finally called back again, waited on hold again and was told the supervisors were gone for the day and there was nothing that could be done any way. So I was completely jerked around. I am researching and calling other providers now. So disappointed because up unitl now, I had been so happy.

Poor Billing Service

  As soon as I joined they had an issue with my credit card, and kept trying to reprocess a bill for $77. After two failures they hit me with - "we cannot accept any credit card payments from you for at leas 6 months." My credit score is >800 and I've used Cirro service in prior years. This has been such a hassle.

Fine if you don't leave

  Would not use again. Price to leave is $78 even when your contact is over. Got a great electricity rate so I chose this company over bigger names but when it was time to renew the offer they made was no longer competitive so I switched.

Turns out an "Oncor Electric Company Surcharges Approved" showed up on my last invoice, even though I was out of contract. The price to switch electric companies varies and in my opinion, anything over $20 is way too much, especially for something automated. Exact actual price to end service is not disclosed in terms of service, only a mention that a fee may be changed.

Also had some billing problems - signed up for auto-pay but didn't charge my card for some reason one month (even though they had the 4 months prior) then called to say my bill was overdue, and I had to go online and pay again. Later appologized via automated email.
