Awesome Company

  I was with another company 2 years ago... when my contract expired they did not notify me and being the busy business owner I am I FORGOT! I got a bill that month three times the amount it usually ran. I signed up with Entrust last year and received not only a call but a letter 90 days before my contract expired to renew me at an even lower rate than I originally signed up for! The customer service is awesome and my bill is now super easy to understand. I also have my home with Entrust Energy. I highly recommend Entrust Energy, in fact I do and receive credit for any referrals I send their way.

  It's been phenomenal. I used to pay 4-450.00 a month. This summer, the highest bill I e seen is 160$ . I love being able to put that back in a savings account every month.

  I did my due diligence (an important first step) in selecting a service provider, after being aligned with one for 29 years. Intangibles, such as, answering my queries to my satisfaction, explaining the rate structure, the pleasant disposition of the front office staff, and the important tangible item - suite of value products to choose from - helped my decision making. While I have been with Champion Energy for only a few months, I am hoping to be associated with them for a long time. Of course, this is a competitive market and hopefully, they will earn my trust and continue to provide vale-added service to retain me over the long haul. I have not been bashful about recommending Champion to a few like minded friends, who may be faced with making a choice in the near future.

  Switched to Stream in 2005. Previously with 2 different companies. Have had excellent service, rates and experience. When I compare my bills with friends and neighbors who are not with Stream, mine are the best. Thank you Stream for continuing to provide great rates and customer service!!

Regarding other's negative remarks.... I haven't seen or heard of a perfect company out there. That said, I do believe and have seen Stream care and go above and beyond in customer service.

  I've never had any issues with Bounce. I have no company loyalty, and simply chose them because it was the lowest price when I was moving into my apartment back in February 2013. I got a 12 month 5.4c KwH plan at the time (Which is pretty decent from what I've seen). I never had any late payments, and the reward system for this is okay... but to be honest, you don't really notice it as much of a benefit or perk because they're pretty insignificant and the price to have electricity in the first place overshadows them. And as for the other promotions they throw at you throughout the year, I didn't see any of the cost savings reflected in my bills, so there's no way to know if it even had any effect.You get a monthly usage report with estimated cost of service, and some newsletters on what you can do to save electricity which is convenient I suppose. I've never had to deal with customer service, so I can comment on whether or not it's any good.

I decided to go ahead and leave this review, because it's now time for renewal, and the KwH rate is double what I signed up for in the beginning. So it's time to go Electric company shopping again to see if I can get a better deal somewhere else, and another lucky hand of not having any billing issues...

If you're looking for an electric company, and you're reading this... it just seems to be the luck of the draw and getting the service at the right time of the year when the rates are lowest. In the end, they're all just big corporations with shareholders who want more money so they can buy another beach house they'll never visit. Just shop until you find a low rate, without a bunch of gargantuan hidden fees and taxes.

Time to eat my words

  Yesterday I gave a not so complimentary review of Summer Energy. I was upset because I felt like I had been taken advantage of because of being off contract. I wrote the review here and wrote an email to customer service all within an hour yesterday. Today I recieved a call from customer service wanting to "make it right". Apparently, the system never generated a notice for me that my contract was expiring. Since I wasn't notified Summer Energy's customer service gave me a credit for the overages I was charged and extended my contract at the low rate I was paying until my move date. (We are moving so I had to cancel my service and talk to them about my rate increase in one phone call.) The phone call yesterday got me nowhere, but today a representative called me and we had a pleasant conversation about what the problem was and what they would do to fix it. I was surprised and very thankful for Summer Energy taking the time to read my email, research my situation, then make it right all within one single day. Summer Energy just redeemed themselves in my book, and I take back my review from yesterday. I WOULD recommend Summer Energy but I do suggest you are very aware of your contract end date so you don't have to deal with any change in rates being off contract. Thank you for going above and beyond, Summer Energy.

Too Expensive

  For one month my bill is $553.00. I have NEVER in my life had a bill with any electric company that charges this much for one month. I am canceling this agreement and looking for a more reasonable energy company. I had another home about the same size as the one I am in now, and the bill was less than 1/3 the cost of this one. I'm done with GEXA. Shopping for another company.

Quick to disconnect--Slow to reconnect

  I switched to Direct Energy when a
representative came to the door at a time that
I was displeased with TXU. I was offered a $200
gift card that was never received. My billing
date was set immediately before my monthly pay
date. With 3 kids in college and a due date
three days before my monthly pay check, I
sometimes did not have the entire amount by the
due date. I tried to change my billing date,
but it couldn't be done. When I tried to
negotiate payments, I could never reach a
representative. I was disconnected twice. Once
was a week after my due date and
the other time was immediately after the due
date. Each day it was near 100 degrees when the
power was disconnected while I was at work.
When I called upon arriving home, the Canadian
service representatives said that service could
not be restored before two business days, even
though I had paid in full. Oncor could not act
until the order was eventually received from
Direct Energy.

not happy

  I'm a truck driver and i'm gone for weeks at a time. When i get home i get my bills and pay them. This time i get home and i have a disconnect letter ... Ok ... I call Bounce and try to get a ONE day extension for when i get paid. They were quick to say no and it's not allowed anymore. I've been with them for over 2 years... I feel like my loyalty is not worth jack squat to them. I will be looking for a new company on payday. Thanks Bounce for understanding your customers needs and situations. Good Bye

DISAPPOINTED!

  I've been loyal customer to TXU for more than 4 decades. They're trying to kick us off of our plan (SureStart). They say it's been discontinued. However, they cannot or won't tell me what mo-to-mo index plans they have. Their TOSA says they sell'em but no one in Exec Ofc can answer question. We don't won't a term or variable rate plan. We only want to pay for electricity that we actually use mo-to-mo. We don't have internet. I'm at the library w/unsecured wifi. I've been trying to get help from Exec Ofc since 10-18. They're not offering any solutions to help. I've opened e-mail acct at library (that I don't want) to file complaint w/Exec Ofc. I cannot respond to any e-mails sent. I've really no time to go to library everyday. Have left multiple phone msgs to Exec Ofc. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED w/lack of response, communication by phone & consideration for a long time customer!!!!

Deceptive Company

  This electric company is highly deceptive with their published rates on PowerToChoose.org. They have published rates (500 kWh, 1,000 kWh, 2,000 kWh) just like every other electric company, but Infinite Energy has hidden "Tiers" that cost more money as your energy consumption increases throughout the month. Do not use Infinite Energy, regardless of their introductory rates.

Amigo Energy - New Enrollment - Pending Payment

  I applied for new service but they just said my application is pending. Then they sent me an email saying they are waiting for a deposit, but they don't say how much the deposit it and when I called I was hung up on two times and each time I was on hold for over 10 mins. never got anyone on the phone. Account never set up because I don't know how much my deposit is and no one is available to answer the phone line. The online chat service does not work at all. Good Luck to anyone trying to get a new account with them. I can see now this will be a terrible company to deal with going forward. I really hope they make enough money to solve the poor customer service issues.
