  I have been dealing with this company after the death of my son. I called numerous times to disconnect his electricity. They wanted my social number and me to take over the account to discontinue service. Since his estate is not settled I could not do this. So since his apartment was vacant they continue to bill me and then turned it over to a collection agency. I call 4 times even spoke to a supervisor. These people are unbelievable for a $140 bill. Would not recommend using them ever.

  Ambit energy was promoted to me as a company who bends over backward to save their customers money. Please do not believe this because nothing is further from the truth. I paid more with them for service than I ever have with anyone else. I finally switched and because my new provider did the switch a few days early Ive just been arm-twisted into giving ambit $100 that I cannot afford. Do they care? No they do not! Stay clear of this company is my advice.

  I was shocked to see how this company only cares about money. During this crisis, they decided to cut off my services just because they changed their circle. No communication has been received such as; phone calls, or emails. We usually paid by the 5th of every months, then they decided to disconnect the services on the 5th of May. I called them and we paid the bills within 5 minutes of the disconnection. The payment was successful and the account has been updated accordingly. However, they told us that it might take up to 24 hours for the service to be reinstated. This is Outrageous! they collected the money very fast but they couldnt be that fast in providing services. I believe during this time, all the disconnections should be suspended, how come they cut off the services without any notice and could not even reinstated the same day?

  This company has individuals selling and stating that this is for low income and elderly. This is a scam. The rates go up 3x after one year. I called to pay a bill and they were rude and not helpful and wanted to charge and extra $5 to pay on the phone when others gladly take payments for free. There are so many other better choices out there, leave this company.

  I called Ambit Energy to discontinue the service in January 2020. I have continued to receive invoices for a vacated facility through April 2020. The customer service rep said they couldn't access the facility but did not call me or the landlord (whose number I provided) to communicate that the facility could not be accessed to turn off the meter. This seems to be a scam to continue to collect on services no longer rendered. Beware!
