  First Choice is the best choice Ive made. There reasonable and affordable. They help you out when your in a crunch. I love FCP!!! Wouldnt change unless I didnt have the choice for First Choice.

Amazing change from TXU!

  I was a TXU customer for eighteen years. Then I learned about 4Change Energy and made the change. The first shock was receiving communications from the company about my electric usage--on a weekly basis, not just on the monthly statement. The price was less than a third of what I had been paying for the same electricity from ONCOR. Why pay more and never get friendly communication, just to stay with the same company. 4Change is amazing. I guess I never realized that there are BETTER electric companies who operate the 21st century way!

  I have been with 4 change energy for a year and my electricity bill has never been lower - summer and winter. It did go to over $600.00 per month with other providers and this year has never exceeded $180.00. A major advantage over other electricity providers is the rebate you receive when your usage is at a certain value - namely in the summer time. Aside from the low KW/Hr rate, the rebate reduces the monthly bill even more. This has been the best it ever was. I signed up for 18 months and glad I did. I plan to renew when my contract expires.

  I found 4 Change Energy in April after moving into our 3 bedroom town home. My last carrier charged 2 times more then our current bills and we even have twice the square footage. I feel fortunate to have found 4Change. You can't go wrong with this company.

  Have recommended 4Change to several friends - they are really impressed with the price. Certainly appreciate being able to sign on for sustainable energy. So glad I learned about them several years ago through a Steve Blow's column in the Dallas Morning News; it took the guess work out of choosing a quality provider.

  I had to delete my 2 stored payment methods as I had to cancel my service due to relocation from USA to India and I got all the help and support from Kesley to remove those, Even though I am not a direct energy customer. Thanks to taking care of my request and you guys rock when it comes to assisting the customers.

Best Electricity Provider in TX

  I have been using since around 2 years and no problems with bills and payments, quick customer service, low rates. They have very excellent Rewards and promotions programs for every three or six months like $50 credit to your account, $50 Restaurant gift card for on-time payment, $15 Starbucks Gift card and One month free electricity.

  I have now been with Champion Energy for more than 8 months and the experience has been great! Amazing plans, rates, referral program, and regular usage reports. I definitely plan to stay with Champion for the foreseeable future. In fact, they already sent me an email for when I move with a direct link to set up service for another year. This company makes the consumer experience extremely easy and worry-free.

Great Experience for the past 17 months!

  I don't know what the the other reviewers are talking about. I switched from TXU the end of Feb 2015. I am saving so much $$ on my bill each month. The CSRs have been very nice and helpful and easy to understand. There are no hidden fees and coming from established service with TXU we didn't have any kind of deposit required. We want to support 100% green energy so we are super happy to be doing that AND saving money!!!

  These guys are pretty great - they have good prices, support green energy, and support charities. Not sure how that all fits under one label, but they manage pretty well!

Renewed again

  I have been with TriEagle for 2 years now and I just called in to renew for another 12 months at 8.8 cents/kWh. I had to wait a little bit when I called but once I was able to speak with a rep she was really helpful and made the renewal process quick and easy. I also signed up for their weekly usage summaries several months back and am loving being able to see how much energy Im using each week! Definitely recommend TriEagle!

Best rates for 100% renewable

  I signed up last year. Their 100% renewable plan was actually cheaper than their regular plan at that time, and was the best rate I could find for 100%. I just renewed for about $0.01 more per kWh (a substantial increase), but it still beat any other 100% renewable plan. My monthly use averages under 500 kWh, and I rarely use over 1000 kWh in a month. Most other companies have a minimum useage (usually 1000 kWh) to avoid a hefty service fee. TriEagle's is a flat $4.95/mo, and there are no suprise fees. Believe me, I've put together a spreadsheet just to evaluate the complex minimum useage, fee and surcharge fomulas of other companies.
So, someone who uses a lot of electricity, or who wants just a conventional-energy plan may do better with other companies. For me, the decision to renew was simple and pain-free.
I've never needed to contact TriEagle, so my good rating is because of the weekly emailed useage graphs, and the several notices about the upcomong expiration date of my contract (some other companies do a poor job with that, and let you go to a very expensive daily rate plan). My only problem was that I wasn't able to open any of the renewal PDFs from email, even with updated updated Adobe reader. My wife could at the office. Go figure.
On Price/Plans/Promotions, last year there was a promo code on the Power To Choose site. This year I found a code elsewhere online that shaved off $0.001 . Better than nothing.
So, for another year, I'm set.

  I just moved about 2 months ago and chose to go with Champion Energy because of their available plans and great reviews. I have the free time on weekends plan and it's awesome! I'm able to plan out my activities so that I can conserve and save during the week and do laundry, etc. on weekends. Everything about my experience so far has been great and hassle free. I highly recommend Champion Energy.

Good Electricity Provider

  I have been with Green Mountain Energy (GME) for over 6 years, and at one point I had 2 residences served by them in different towns. Whenever I needed assistance they have been very responsive, I have had no billing problems, and their customer service has always been top notch when I dealt with them. Unlike other reviewers, I have had nothing but good experiences with GME... except the rates. They have definitely been higher per kilowatt hour than some other providers, but that was a choice my wife and I made to support companies providing alternative and sustainable energy. That was not a problem for us then, but with the economic downturn, it got to be too much lately, and I started to switch to another company for a lower rate. I cancelled that contract during the 3-day approval period after seeing THEIR reviews. GME customer service called after seeing the switchover order, and we discussed the change. I signed a new 1 year contract with GME, and I got a significant RATE DECREASE in the process. The CS rep was very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. Again, I have been and am still very satisfied with Green Mountain Energy.

Very nice

  I signed up for their 100% renewable 1 year contract about a year ago and have been very pleased so far. I have been able to do everything online so far and have not needed to contact customer service for anything. I know that this has more to do with Oncor than SW P&L, but during the rolling blackouts caused by the major snowstorm this year, my house did not lose power once. The only thing that they could do better in my opinion is to provide an option to not receive paper statements.
