Great Company

(5 / 5)

I like 4 change because they gave me the option to go 100% green energy for my electric needs. They also let me choose a charity that they give to as well. To me this is a win, win and I am going to continue to use 4 change energy as my provider. Prices are great and customer service is wonderful!

Great energy

(4.6 / 5)

I've had nothing but success with direct energy. Have no knowledge of promotions. Would recommend to others I have.

Disappointed

(2.6 / 5)

After having Star Tex Power for a couple of years I wanted to transfer my service to my new home. I was unable to do so, because they do not update their systems. I was forced to find another company. Even after being in the new home 9 months, Star Tex still has our home listed as a commercial meter. I was even told by the customer service rep to just pay commercial pricing! Before we moved into the home Center Point was sent out to verify if it is indeed commercial or residential. After verification Star Tex is the only company that has us listed as a commercial meter. Very disappointed.

First Choice Power is not the best choice...

(1.8 / 5)

I have been a customer for 3 years and I am very unhappy with First Choice Power, I was under payment arrangements for a previous bill, I was told by Customer Service, if I can't pay my bill on the due date, always call and let them know. I called a total of 3x, on the 3rd time, I was told if I don't pay the full balance on the 3rd of January, my lights would be cut off. I explained to them that I get paid on the 5th, and would pay them in full on that day, and also asked them could they extend the due date for 2 extra days only, on my pay day, they said "No!!" I talked with two different managers, and they both said the same thing. The 2nd manager was very rude, he called me and after he said who he was, he immediately said, "I am backing what the previous manager said, and we shouldn't have anything else to discuss." I tried to explain to him about my payday and he didn't want to hear a word I had to say. I do plan to find another light company.

Horrible Service

(1.4 / 5)

The customer service for this company is way below average for what it should. If you have one account then it seems to be okay but when you have multiple accounts with them then it gets all hay wire. Billing does not get done correctly. They might bill you one month but then bill you two or three months back dating all the service. I tried to talk with a supervisor about it but they are never around and there might be one person there all day. The supervisor team told me that they would call back but they did not. I closed one account down b/c I sold my house and that started the chain reaction of non billing and overcharging for their service. I set up auto draft and they were billing me the whole time but then decided to not bill for three months.

Terrible Payment Options

(0.4 / 5)

I HATE Bounce energy - and it's really only because of their payment options.

I like to have control over the money in my account. I have as little as possible set-up as auto-pay. I'm not going to set up a fluctuating bill to be auto-drafted from my account. However, if I want to pay anywhere NEAR the due date (not the date the invoice is received), I either have to use their auto-pay (actually, I don't think they draft it close to the due date) OR I have to set up some sort of reminder to log into their system to set up payment. When I tried to use my bank's bill pay, it arrived late each time (until I started sending it in up to 10 days in advance) DESPITE my bank sending in time to be on time. I have NEVER had a problem with my bank's bill pay not getting a payment in on time. So, even when my bank send the check five days in advance, somehow, it wasn't getting to their accounting department until it was nearly five days late. Interesting....

I will be switching ASAP. PLEASE get actual decent payment options - allow me to set up a payment in advance on your payment site. My MUD and water bill can be done this way - why not a big electricity company?
