Hoping for the best.

Im hoping the price is what it says it will be. After chatting with Crista yesterday she assured me that their monthly estimate quotes on their page are very accurate which prompted me to switch to Power Express. I really hope it is because I am tired of paying $400 a month with CPL.

If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!

I had ambit energy for about 4 years, I decided to switch when a door to door salesman persistently came knocking in my door showing rates like 6.4 , he showed me on paper told me I'd be saving more than $100 a month and on top if that I was getting a discount , I got my first bill today , average price per kilowatt 13.3 plus tdu charges of $78!!! Bringing my bill to $238... Which is outrageous , highest bill with ambit was $180 . Luckily the customer service dept was able to help me a bit and get me on another plan where I was able to at least be close to what I was paying (txu being a little higher) .... Txu rep told me that every light companies tdu charges are the same based on consumption , but looking at my bill from July and my bill from June , consumption is the same, charge is about $20 for the actual energy, but TXU slapped me with a big TDU fee $78.24 to be exact , Anita tdu charge for the same kilowatt was 9.82$. Is that even legal !!??? if I could go back to ambit I would , But now I have to wait 9 months till my contract is up to avoid a cancellation fee .... I was tricked and told lies, and by the time I see my bill I'm already over the grace period to cancel!! So disappointed , I thought such a big company would help out , not be greedy and charge more. I will be going somewhere else soon and I'll be sure to do my research!! Lower rates per kilowatt DOES NOT MEAN ITS A LOWER RATE. And I think the companies especially with their door to door salesmen , should inform customers. !

Amigo Beware

(0.7 / 5)

My payment was credited to someone else account. Even after phone call, Amigo Energy cut off my electric line. Only after numerous phone call and letter to PUC finally I get my account credited back. Never use this company again.

Very Upset with Green Mountain Energy!!!

(0 / 5)

I checked my TXU account online today, to see what my bill for next month to be and I noticed on the upper right hand corner it said "Final Bill" and I also noticed that it was about $150 higher than any other month. So of course I called TXU customer service and they informed me that someone in my household switched electric companies! It wasn't me, so I thought back and remembered that about a week ago I was at HEB with my husband and he stayed behind to talk to a Green Mountain Energy representative. So I called my husband and he let me know that he provided his phone number and address just so they can call him back with information. Well, they never called and the representative enrolled him in Green Mountain Energy. That's why I always blow off every representative that tries to talk to me. But him being the nice person he is, always talks to them. Well, this is the last time that's gonna happen. I called Green Mountain and told them that I didn't authorize that and I don't even know how they were able to do that switch if my husband is not even on my TXU contract!!! I am very upset because it will take up to a month for the switch to go through. I am not staying with Green Mountain Energy and there's no way I'm paying the bill they're going to send me. That's very upsetting, that guy probably just wanted his commission for signing someone up. Next time I see him at HEB, he's getting an earful!!!!!!!
