Champion Energy

(5 / 5)

I'm 90 years old and been a TXU customer since we started with TP&L. After paying $.17/kwh, my daughter finally convinced me it was time to switch. I've been a satisfied Champion customer for years paying half of what i used to pay!

Affordable and GREEN

(5 / 5)

Even had it not been green, so far 4Change is the most reliable company I have used with the best customer service. Add that it's green-- I'll never have a reason to switch!

Customer Service

(5 / 5)

Best and most pleasant customer service reps I've dealt with in many, many years. Infinite has certainly CHOSEN the right people for the job....this is a company that apparently KNOWS great customer service CANNOT be "trained"-you either have it or you don't! Their reps are patient, courteous and FRIENDLY every time I've contacted them. Gold stars to the phone reps AND to the hiring manager! I refer this company to everyone I know. P. S.-great rates too!

Worth it

(5 / 5)

The overall prepay part is super efficient for the two of us living in our home. We have had our usage up to about $7.00 at hour highest on a Hot day in August... And now that it is fall $2.00 in a day at our lowest.

Also, if you exceed the amount and go negative with them there is a $25 fee to turn it back on, but the $25 goes on as a deposited amount on your account. So if you were -$1 then you would have +$24 + whatever else you add with it. So it's a good company and a good way to do electric.

Great Company

(5 / 5)

I was with TXU in the past and then switched to Stream. Saved about 40% from my bill. I told others about Stream's low prices and now my energy charge is discounted even farther, sometimes even free!

They lowered my bill!!!!!

(5 / 5)

Wow I had these two guys in blue shirts knock and ring my doorbell, one of them was in training and the other was a manager. They asked me for my bill and I didnt have one because I was paperless with green mountain, the trainee froze and didnt know what to do and the manager logged in to my green mountain account on his phone, I was getting 16 cents average!!!!!! What a ripp off.... it took us 5 minutes to call houston and make the switch and I got 7.3 for 2 years! They broke down my bill with a side by side comparison and they showed me a 134.85 dollar savings per month! Highly recommend

What a joke

(1 / 5)

We were involuntarily switched to Cirro when they bought the provider we were with. After two months of not receiving a bill, welcome letter, anything, I tracked down whom I was switched to in order to avoid service interruption. They had been sending it to a completely different address. I set up an online account and it showed that I was in a contract with them until October 1st, 2018. Since the rate was higher than the going rate, I made a note to contact them. On Oct 6th I logged in to see what number to call to discuss a new plan and saw that my bill had jumped up 7 cents per kilowatt. What???? Ok, the contract is out, I'll get that fixed. I call and proceed to have the most asinine conversation. First they tell me that I was month to month and didn't have a contract. I pointed out that my online profile says that I do. He looks. Him - Oh, that just means that the rate you were paying wouldn't go up before that date but it wasn't a contract. Me - then why is listed as the "CONTRACT END DATE"? Him - thats just what we call it but its not a contract. ??????? Me - Ok, the contract that isn't really a contract ended on Oct 1st and my statement was generated on Oct 3rd but ya'll charged me the increased rate for the entire period, not just the 2 days. Can we get this fixed? Him - No, unfortunately we can't have two rates in a period. Me - So you're telling me that you are going to charge me an EXTRA $150 because I didn't cancel my contract that wasn't really a contract on the expiration day (but not really because it wasn't a contract)? Him - Well, if you sign up for a 24 month plan, I can see if I can get the rate retroactive to the 3rd. Me - And what about the overcharge on the current bill? Him - No, I'm sorry, I can't adjust that. Me - You honestly think I would sign a contract with you when you are overcharging me by $150 right now???? Him - There's nothing I can do.

By the way, this was a supervisor. I hope he doesn't have an employment contract that turns out not to really be a contract.

VETERANS RUN!!

(1 / 5)

This company lied, admitted they lied and would not correct it even after hearing their own recordings. I am a disabled veteran on a monthly fixed income and they told me if I signed up with them they could accommodate my due date on the 1st of every month. This was a lie and they charged me late fees, would not change my due date even after listening to their own employee in the tape!!! Run away.

scam when you leave

(1 / 5)

i joined potentia 2 years ago for 8.2 per kil hour ,then 8.7 for second year, then was going to 9.79,i changed because rate went higher than txu for reason i left them, then when you are supposed to get last bill they make 2 bills out of it to get service charge of 9.99 2 times, bill was .76 for usage plus tax and 9.99 service charge ,making last bill 12.25,i was happy with them first 2 years ,then left and found out what they were

Does not keep accurate records of renewal date and not holding to agreement

(0.4 / 5)

I renewed with Cirro this summer. Understanding my new rate of 8.3kwh. I have received 3 bills and all hate the higher rate. Every c/s rep I spoke to provides a different answer. Once my contract is over I will definitely switch and never use this company again. I may swith before if continue to have problems.

I heat with a gas floor furnice

(0 / 5)

i lived in a 1200sq ft house, Gas cook stove, gas water heater and 1 gas floor furnice. I recieved a 780.00 electric bill. I called and asked why my bill was so outrageous. I was told it was because of the week long cold snap that come through my area. I said" hello what part of this do you not understand, im mostly gas. Needless to say i never had a bill so high even running 4 220 window units 24 hr a day. They told me again it was because of the cold snap. i had to pay the bill.
