Didn't have an issue once

(5 / 5)

In todays competitive markets its always nice to deal with a company you can trust and rely on to deliver their products, and or service .4 change energy is one of these companies.

Words are not same as contract.

(2.1 / 5)

"We will lower your current bill by 25%!" is what I was told so I switched companies. BUT my bill went higher by 25%! And it was too late because I signed a two year contract. I will never take on a two yr contract again. I feel "had" or "stuck" for two years. I have a hunch they were charging the wrong rate for my small business.

Moving

(1.8 / 5)

I changed residences back in May. I scheduled a connection to my new residence. They connected to another residence instead of the one I told them. I got charged for their mistake. Been billed separately multiple times. Being inconvenienced and billed multiple times has caused me to want to consider looking for another service provider when the contract is up. I was a happy customer until this happened.

Reliant is Misleading!

(1.2 / 5)

Reliant Energy are incredibly dishonest and difficult to deal with. I would like to discourage people from doing business with them. A salesman of theirs came to my parents door and misled them from the beginning. My parents are in their 80's. After 2 years, In January of 2017 they received notice their contract was ending. We called in March of 2017 and asked repeatedly if the contracts they had were ending. They were vague, but finally said yes. Long story short, we switched their contracts last week to Champion Energy (who I highly recommend), and Reliant just debited my parents checking for $590 for early cancellation. The main response I received when I called Reliant today was, "We understand, but we are within our rights if you will read the fine print". Please repost this, I feel Reliant has been misleading on several occasions since day one, and I hate for anyone else to be dealing with such a dishonest electrical company!

Renewal

(1 / 5)

We have had Direct Energy for several years. Last week I called to question my bill. Then I was advised our renewal had expired and that was why we were paying a higher price. At that time the associate told me she would FIRST set me up a new renewal and then see what she could do for the months we paid a higher rate. After the recorded renewal was complete, she said she could not adjust any changes for the higher charges we had been paying for Oct to Dec. if I had known this I would NOT have agreed to the renewal. I am reporting this to the Utility Commission in Texas. You could say monies we saved were taken back by D E by not notifying us that our contract had expired. We live on disability. This is a very unfair practice by Direct Energy.
