Easy and great savings

  Starting service was very easy. Service was initiated when they had promised. The first bill I send a check via mail and it was credited in the account immediately. I used a referral to get $25 off and got the credit in less than 30 days.

Cheap prices but needs some automation

  SPG is very decent, no billing mistakes like a previous provider however they really should have a better online control panel. I feel that this may be introduced in the future though.

Current Customer-

  Have been a customer I think for three years; small company out of the Woodlands Texas; if you call they give the person by name who handles a function not an extension. Straight Forward and simple. They are the cheapest in Houston at .084/kilowatt hour but renewal this month just jumped to .093/kilowatt hour. All the others have minimums or other catch tricks. Even with distribution fees. I own an open 3,100 sq. ft. house with 11-12 foot ceilings and my bill was just $141 for June with temps in the mid 90's. House is set at constant 75 degrees 24/7; not adjusted.... Go TriEagle !!

Credit fraud ALERT

  When I signed up to transfer my service to Discount Power I was required to provide my SS#. While I hesitated, I gave it (bad move). I had not given it to any other persons in the recent 12 months. Within 8 days I was contacted about an attempt to obtain a new credit card using my SS# . I contacted Customer Service about this but was told their online application was completely secure (are any of them?). When I responded that I did not use the online application but provided all the info to one of their employees,. there was no response.

If you go with this company plan on having billing issues every month and 6hrs + to resolve them every single month.

  I have been with ambit for over a year. Somehow there are always billing issues, they either don't use the correct rate or change my rate whenever they like. When they tell you that they have resolved your issue for calling what they really mean is that they will make crappy notes, not fix your problem and you can expect to call in and relive the experience every month. DO NOT CHOSE THIS COMPANY I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THEM!
