Energy Choice

  Having moved here from a state that offered no choice of electricity providers, I was amazed at the number of choices. After doing some online research I chose 4 Change Energy. I could not be more pleased with my selection. They have been a great provider and I recommend them highly.

  I have had Southwest Power & Light for one year and they were great. Paying my bill online was quick and efficient. If I had to call it in, they were friendly and you were able to speak to a live person fairly quickly. I would recommend. My bill was quite a bit lower than it had been in a while.

Champion Energy is the BEST

  I have used other providers (Reliant and TXU) and
Champion Energy is the BEST by FAR!! They have
excellent rates, wonderful customer service and
just an all around great company. Those other
providers billing would be wrong, getting it set
up was difficult, getting straight answers from
customer service about the high rate changes was a
nightmare. Champion Energy can't be beat for
being the best all around electric provider!

Cheap cheap cheap electricity

  I went from 400 a month to 147 as my highest bill. I am want everyone to know they have the best rate I have ever seen. I have lived in the same house for 35 years so I have a very accurate comparison of electric bills.

TDU delivery charge fees

  The TDU fees are unfair.At the moment I have a 12 month fix rate at 7.3000 cents Per kWh with them.I have noticed that my TDU charges has over the past few months have sky rocketed.My TDU delivery charges has shot up from $50,$100,and now $111 dollars on my latest bill !!! I went back & looked at the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) piece of paper that they give you when one makes a deal with them.Anyways,I went & read the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) paper under the the "Disclosure Chart" heading,and there's a question on there that says "If my price can change,how will it change, and by how much?" Their answer that I found on the EFL ."Your price will not change during the term of this plan except to reflect actual changes in TDU charges;changes to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas or Texas Regional Entity administrative fees; or charges resulting from federal,state or local laws that impose new or modified fees or costs that are beyond our control." Basically,they can charge you whatever they fancy on your TDU Delivery fee. Not cool.

  They turned my power off and said I didnt make a payment. I had, after I paid it over the phone, I found they had cashed my check. I called back to say you double charged me and I want a refund. The email was a joke. Client services stink. The response was you have a payment due in two weeks so we'll keep the payment. Then said my 25 dollar creit would go towards shut off fee. I wasnt late so why should I pay this! Im swithing. Never going back!

  I was shopping for a new plan and found reach offering a 3 month plan at a good rate. They requested a $25 credit review fee. Leading me to believe that I am paying for them to review my credit. In a way they are willing to review it, but only after I pull my own credit report and past electric bills and submit it to them to review. I was blown away that I had to pay them for privilege of letting me pull my own credit and electric history so that they could "review" it. I paid for absolutely nothing and when I asked for a refund, they said it was non refundable. What could they have possibly done with my money that they could not refund it? At that point, I figured it was better to count my losses and search for a reputable provider before giving away any more money.
Beware before giving them any money. Read all the fine print and talk to someone to be absolutely clear about what you are purchasing.
My suggestion, it go with someone who will actually give you something in return for what you pay for.
