4 Change Energy's Smart 24 Thermostat is a two year, or 24 month, electricity plan that comes with a "free" smart thermostat. Of course, like most plans with anything "Free" associated, it means that other aspects of the plan are more expensive than the market to make up for the cost of whatever is "free," in this case, the Honeywell Smart Thermostat. The Energy Charge is high, which means rates are right, but this plan also has a $50 bill credit that kicks in after a customer uses 1,000 kWh of usage in a month. That actually means for small or medium home users this ends up being a pretty good deal with the thermostat. Like many of 4Change's plans, this one also has a high base monthly charge at $9.95, and the cancellation fee is $20 per month left on the contract.
