Champion Energy has won the 2010 JD Power & Associates award for the best retail electricity provider in the in the state of Texas. JD Powers & Associates is an independent marketing firm that conducts unbiased surveys about things such as customer satisfaction, buyer behavior, and product quality. They have surveys and rankings for the auto industry, electronics, healthcare, insurance, and many more areas. In short, getting a JD Powers award is a big deal, and a great honor.
Champion Energy, this years recipient, had the highest overall ranking in the Texas electricity market. The ranking was awarded based on the surveys of over seven thousand Texas residents who took the time to give information about their electricity providers.
The rankings were based on a combination of the following: price, billing and payment, communications, and customer service. Champion Energy got the highest possible marks across the board, and were 20 points ahead of their nearest competitor. The study also showed overall that customers are, generally, more happy with their electricity providers this year than any other year in which JD Powers has performed their surveys.
