Green Energy Plans Beat The Average

This plan is best for homes that consistently use slightly more than 1,000 kWh each month. The next two cheapest plans have similar pricing structures with higher per-kWh charges. One one hand, there’s the Gexa Eco Saver Plus 12 from Gexa Energy. And on the other, there’s the Lone Saver Plus 12 from Energy Texas. Both clock in at 6.0 cents per kWh.
After these three plans, the prices tick up a bit. But the next cheapest plans from Rhythm are still better than the average 12-month plan. Rhythm Saver 12 is another bill credit plan with a rate of 8.3 cents. PowerShift Payback 12 is a fixed rate plan with a price of 11.9 cents. With this latter plan, you don’t have to worry about whether your usage will earn a bill credit. Instead, you pay a bill proportional to the energy you use.
Watch Out For Renewals
Since these are 12-month plans, they’ll be finished before you may realize. Fortunately, Texas energy retailers must warn you before your plan expires. Most companies send you an email and a letter. State rules require you receive a notice at least 30 days in advance.
