So they will give you very good deal for start MEGA SAVER FOR 9.7C. Then after a few month, their agent will keep call you when you at work. And tell you swap to a new plan, then your bill will increase. After that, If you wanna swap back, the price will be increase. SO JUST STOP YOUR AGENT KEEP SPAM CUSTOMER

Got a call today from a TE rep after my negative review. I have a credit of $158 but my electric was shut off. We called the other evening, to find out why we were then switched from person to person EIGHT (8) times, had to explain everything over and over, and still no one could help, it's always someone else's "job". And that's AFTER getting the initial computer phone tree to push some number for such and such. BS, if they cared, they'd answer the phone. Anyways, he had NO ANSWER for why we were switched from person to person 8 times.

Once again, NO customer service.

Just avoid these people.

We ended up just calling another company, and electric is already on.

All while they have my $158 and are making interest on MY money.

Let's see IF I even get my money back.

Wish I could figure out how to give NEGATIVE stars...

Our electricity service was discontinued, for non-payment they said yet we have a credit of $158 and they are continuing to cash the checks we have sent after the supposed discontinue date. Customer service was horrible when we contacted them to find out why the service was discontinued and to get it reinstated. I was transferred to no less than 7 people and non of them could handle that request. The last person I spoke to actually hung up on me. I called back and had to give a deposit of $199 to get the service turned back on. I was told the electricity would be on in 24 hours. Next day, no electricity. My husband called them and he was told it wasn't turned on because they needed a copy of my driver's license and deed to the house, none of which was told to me during my nightmare of a call. Needless to say, we will not be using Tara Energy again, I have already set up service with another provider and want my $199 deposit back.

These people are morons. I made 3 seperate payments in Dec, have $168 credit, and they turned off the electric.

I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL. Multiple Power outages are not their problem apparently, and neither is human decency or polite conversation. Tried to learn about an issue with my bill but Customer Service REP Abiding (#19381) was rude, abrasive, and dismissive. Instead of hearing me out, he decided to get hostile and aggressive. I am under cancer maintenance therapy and I'm not supposed to get stressed but Abiding yelled and completely stressed me out. Something simple and routine became so stressful because of his poor handling.

I guess needing Anger management and being useless are hirable qualities. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL. ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO BE YELLED AT BY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AGAIN.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Unfortunately, ZERO stars isn't an option. I was enrolled in auto pay and my contract ended. I save ALL of my emails from Tara Energy and not once did they ever say there was an outstanding balance. Not by snail mail, email or by phone. Then they send our measly $134 balance to a collections agency. You then call to inquire about details and they will not help you AT ALL. They then say you need to speak to the collection agency they sold our account to. I then call the collections agency and they refer me to Tara. Now it's time to by my wife a new vehicle and this will impact our interest rate on the vehicle. These people are CROOKS! STAY AWAY!!

Tara Energy failed to bill my credit card for my final payment amount, didn't contact me, then sent me to collections without notice. They had successfully billed the same credit card multiple times, and it had plenty of available credit. Wouldn't recommend trusting your credit to such a reckless company.

Tara Energy is a scam and will charge you so much month after month. Their customer service is TERRIBLE!! Good luck getting any help with any issue with your bill because they will redirect you at least 5 times to people who are unprofessional and will "help" you, but nothing ever gets resolved.

My biggest problem is their termination policy. They have charged me 3 TIMES for terminating my contract when I have never terminated it. I always got them to resolve it (after days of calling and hours on the phone) however they keep charging me month after month. I am done with this energy company DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM!! Find ANY OTHER energy company. Please you will have a more peaceful life and have an energy company you can trust. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Expensive and got charged cancellation fee after selling home

Tara energy has some very high prices for their plans, especially on renewal. My latest experience with them was a need on a rental home I was selling. I called them to get a plan for a short period of time while my house was on the market. I was sold a plan with the premise that I would be able to cancel without a penalty when I sold the house. House sold and I called them to let them know, at this point they said the new owner had already transferred service so I had nothing to do at this point. Fast forward 2 weeks and I was direct billed an early termination fee. After spending a couple of hours on the phone with them I was told that I needed to send them copies of closing documents. I would have expected that if I needed to do something of the sort, I would have been advised when I called initially. Now I have to wait 5 days for them to process a waiver of the fee, plus an extra 5 to process a refund. These companies have us as hostages and there is not a lot we can do except write bad reviews.

I tried to sign up for a 3 month plan. They tried many times to switch to a long month plan. Even went and far as telling me this was a bad idea. Then forced me to put down deposit and said it would not be refunded for 12 months no matter what. This is a bate and switch company. BEWARE

I was setup on a auto pay. The first month Tara said charge was declined, so I had to pay on the internet to avoid late payment. I was told by my bank that NO CHARGES HAD BEEN DECLINED, that it had to be an issue on the Client (Tara Energy) gateway. TARA Energy charged my $5 for the payment. I spoke with customer service provided proof from my bank that it was Tara Energy issue. But TARA Energy refused to remove charge. Customer service promised to remove one month then told me it was a VALID charge the next month. 1.25 hours on the phone for them to tell me one thing and then not do it and say something else the next call. Do not use TARA Energy, hidden charges for paying your bill.

The company is a liar. I referred my friend and I was supposed to receive $100 credit and she was supposed to receive $100 credit. Her service started on Jan 14 and today, July 12 we still haven't received anything. For months they kept us hanging and fooling and saying it takes 90 days. And today the manager, Luis is like the referral code is not valid. By the way, it was from the website and linked to my account. This company just fools their customers. Please don't use this provider. They just trick and fool customers. They just lost two customers today. Terrible service. No ethics and integrity.

Fast forward 2 weeks and I was direct billed an early termination fee. After spending a couple of hours on the phone with them I was told that I needed to send them copies of closing documents. I would have expected that if I needed to do something of the sort, I would have been advised when I called initially. Now I have to wait 5 days for them to process a waiver of the fee, plus an extra 5 to process a refund. These companies have us as hostages and there is not a lot we can do except write bad reviews.

I tried to sign up for a 3 month plan. They tried many times to switch to a long month plan. Even went and far as telling me this was a bad idea. Then forced me to put down deposit and said it would not be refunded for 12 months no matter what. This is a bate and switch company. BEWARE

I was setup on a auto pay. The first month Tara said charge was declined, so I had to pay on the internet to avoid late payment. I was told by my bank that NO CHARGES HAD BEEN DECLINED, that it had to be an issue on the Client (Tara Energy) gateway. TARA Energy charged my $5 for the payment. I spoke with customer service provided proof from my bank that it was Tara Energy issue. But TARA Energy refused to remove charge. Customer service promised to remove one month then told me it was a VALID charge the next month. 1.25 hours on the phone for them to tell me one thing and then not do it and say something else the next call. Do not use TARA Energy, hidden charges for paying your bill.

The company is a liar. I referred my friend and I was supposed to receive $100 credit and she was supposed to receive $100 credit. Her service started on Jan 14 and today, July 12 we still haven't received anything. For months they kept us hanging and fooling and saying it takes 90 days. And today the manager, Luis is like the referral code is not valid. By the way, it was from the website and linked to my account. This company just fools their customers. Please don't use this provider. They just trick and fool customers. They just lost two customers today. Terrible service. No ethics and integrity.
