If you're looking for a company that takes customer gouging to an Olympic level, look no further than Express Energy. Theyve somehow turned the simple act of paying a bill into a financial obstacle course designed to squeeze every penny out of you.

Miss your due date by two days? Thatll be a $9.95 late fee. Need a friendly reminder? Thats a $19.95 "DNP Notice" feewhich, by the way, is just an email that magically arrives the day after your due date (as if you didn't already know you were late). Oh, and if you prefer to pay manually instead of handing over your bank details for autopay? That'll cost you toobecause apparently, not using "EZ Pay" is an offense worthy of yet another fee.

Its honestly impressive how theyve found a way to charge customers for everything except breathingbut give it time, they might figure that out too.

Bottom line? Express Energy isn't just bad theyre the one-star, money-grabbing villains of the energy world, and every review site agrees. Texas deserves better.
