I love Bounce Energy. I have had so many wonderful experiences with them. My bill has always been reasonable but I hate that they switched us over to Direct Energy. Since then, my bill has been outrageous like over $300. I never received a $300 when I was with Bounce Energy. Please come back Bounce Energy.

Called them today to verify my bill and was informed that I was paying market rate since I was on a month to month basis. Last March or so I got a call from Bounce that my contract was expiring and would I like to renew with a 2 year plan for long term savings. The one year plan had better rates at the time so I went with that deciding to risk the market. When I told the gentleman that today he said they had no record of that contact (as if that's a story anyone would make up) and he was sorry for the inconvenience but there was nothing that could be done. I knew my bills were higher this summer but we had record heat and I chalked up to that. I didn't even know they had a month to month plan which I would NEVER knowingly choose anyway.They've been good in every other respect but this is was their mistake and I paid for it. Going to have to go somewhere else.

Like I was saying. Bounce Energy is just "okay". Like don't get me wrong they're not all that bad, but they aren't all that great either. Everything is well until your plan is up. I had a 12 month plan and didn't notate when my plan was up and when the year went by I received no email or call no NOTHIN! I found out my plan was up with a $180 bill!!! I live by myself!! It is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Apparently they put me on a month to month plan without informing me. I called as soon as I realized what had happened and they did grant me a decent discount and updated my plan for me. The agent was courteous and understanding although I didn't get refunded the price different of what I had been paying for the past 3 months or so at the month to month rate. Bottom Line, if you are GREAT, FANTASTIC, AMAZING, at keeping track of your plans then go for it. But if you can avoid getting Bounce for any reason, go with someone else! I changed my plan to 6 months just to give them another shot, but I did it mainly out of convenience. There are better providers out there. And bounce is simply alright. OH, and their website is awful! Sometimes you can't even login and I rely a lot on paying my bill online, tough luck! Having said that, if you choose to go with bounce because of prices, then go with it, just be careful. Because ultimately you do what you gotta do regardless of service.

I was a Bounce customer for over 7 years. When my contract ended they decided it would be a great time to "rape" me on the kwh rate. They increased it to over 17 per kwh. Plus kept changing my due date which had always been the 22nd and since I'm on paperless I didn't know so they would charge me a late fee for me paying a day late (which should have been my due date). Champion Energy has been great. You can even see your daily usage.

I have enjoyed the pricing I have received from Bounce but I signed up for the AA miles promotions and they have only transferred my points to my AA account once....I've been with them 4 years and it has been a year since they made the first deposit in January of 2017. I have asked for them to transfer my remaining balance and every time they say oh there is a problem with the program we will have someone contact you. I think they just don't want to transfer the points. Judging from what others have said, they use the promotions to finish signing you up but then dont follow through with the promise. Beware of the promotions.

I used to have the best price. Bounce did not charge the Oncor fee in addition to the KW charge. That is why they were so cheap. My contract expired and they told me the fixed fee was the same as the variable. They have DOUBLED MY BILL. My electric bill is now $360!! They will not fix it, so I am switching to direct energy today.

No concern for customer service. Bounce energy has no problem putting you into a contract but when you ask questions about it or why your bill will exceed over a 65% increase once it expires they simply say they dont care and its not their problem.

Has been with bounce energy for over 5 years. The more you stay, the more the company will bite. What is worse, what made me leave, It is what they call " delivery and maintenance " fee! sometimes It was equal to the actual usage fee. I wonder if they were doing maintenance on my address monthly. As you sign up, be sure you ask about that.

The Transmission and Distribution Utility, which is responsible for the maintenance and repair of any power lines or your Electricity meter, do charge customers for those things each month. Generally, it's a monthly fee plus a per usage fee. Especially this last winter, we had many customers use much more energy than they anticipated, which would lead to a higher TDU charge. Its very good electric company and I have been using since 3 years without any problem. After switching to this provider my bill almost reduced to half. Also they have very good reward program and gives you cash back of $50 , $25 etc on time to time like for 3 or 6 months or if autopay chosen. Their rates are decent and didn't get any problems so far and it is very easy to switch to Bounce Energy.

I was with Bounce energy for a total of 4 years. The first year I was pleased with the service since I got a decent rate, had no billing problems, and got a weekly email with my usage and projected costs. I liked their airline rewards program, refer-a-friend program, match-the-rate discount program, and $25-$75 sign up/renewal bonus offers. My only complaint the first year was that they promised me a 1-for-1 mile per dollar airline rate with no cap deposited in my AAdvantage account every month and instead ended up only giving me 1 for 1 up to $200 per month deposited every 3 months. Overall the price was reasonable so I signed up for another year.That year I got a lot of refer-a-friend discounts so even though my rate was much worse the cost I ended up paying for electricity was very good so I renewed for a third term this time for 2 years to get a better rate. Once I was signed up long-term the problems began.First the weekly emails became less reliable and more sporadic. Then Bounce kept messing with their website and the plan I agreed to was not the plan they ended up using to bill me. I was supposed to have a base rate based on my usage and instead they charged me a flat base rate. I think that ended up averaging out to about the same rate but no matter how many times I called them to correct the discrepancies between what I ordered and what they had listed on the website and what they were billing me for they would not do anything about it. Also they did not give my any more refer-a-friend credits or the promised renewal bonus. Then they stopped depositing any airline miles in my AA account entirely. I tried calling but the representatives couldn't help me because that was "another department's responsibility". I had this issue escalated and was told a supervisor would call me back and deposit the missing miles that were accumulating. They didn't call me back the first 2 times they said they would. The third time I finally got a call they only deposited like 280 of the 1500 they owed me. When all was said and done they shorted me approximately 500 miles which I gave up fighting for but I am still upset over since their own website which I had pictures of and used to provide proof was not enough to get them to honor their promises. (I've been told they are trying to discontinue this reward program entirely in the near future since they can't get miles to give any customers not just me but I only found out after speaking directly to the rewards program director and no notice has been given to any other customers yet despite no one getting rewards this year).The worst part of the third contract and the main reason I left however was that towards the end of my contract they started moving my due date around which kept making me late paying my bill. The first 3 and a half years I never had one late payment but then 3 months in a row I missed the cutoff by something like an hour because I would make a note on my calendar to pay it 2 days earlier and the next month my due date would magically be 3 days earlier or some such bs. They added 5% to my bill every time this happened even if I was only 5 minutes past their arbitrary cutoff time. That adds up fast. At this point I was beyond ready to switch providers so I waited til my contract was supposed to be up on Dec 9 since I had originally renewed the plan on Dec 9 but instead they wouldn't let me out of the contract until Jan 9 so they effectively stole a month of choice from me. This is unacceptable. I probably should file a complaint with some authority for that but truth be told I am just so happy to be no longer with Bounce I don't want to waste my time dealing with electric nightmares anymore. Things started off well but I think my experience is not untypical. When I first signed up with Bounce they had 4 star average reviews but when I left only 2 stars. I think that is an accurate representation of how they used to be better and have since gone straight downhill. Use at your own risk.

I called to cancel.my service during the Harvey. The representative told me, my service will automatically cancelled from the apartment after I move out in October the 5. I moved into another apartment yet was still charged for the previous apartment for October, then November. I paid for the first week of November 106, but received another for November 11. 9.46. This was after I spoke again to a representative about the 106 dollars and she told.me my account will be cancelled and the 106 will be my lastbil. Called them today to verify my bill and was informed that I was paying market rate since I was on a month to month basis. Last March or so I got a call from Bounce that my contract was expiring and would I like to renew with a 2 year plan for long term savings. The one year plan had better rates at the time so I went with that deciding to risk the market. When I told the gentleman that today he said they had no record of that contact (as if that's a story anyone would make up) and he was sorry for the inconvenience but there was nothing that could be done. I knew my bills were higher this summer but we had record heat and I chalked up to that. I didn't even know they had a month to month plan which I would NEVER knowingly choose anyway.They've been good in every other respect but this is was their mistake and I paid for it. Going to have to go somewhere else.

I enrolled in their cashback rewards program, but never received the promised rewards. They cite a clause in the fine print "You are deemed a customer in good standing as determined in our sole discretion" to say that I'm not eligible for rewards since I'm switching to another company next month, even though I met all the criteria.

They advertise that you can cash in the rewards after 12 months, which is the term of the contract, but in reality it takes anywhere from 15-17 months. The rewards don't start until 30 days after your first bill, then the rewards aren't applied until 2 billing cycles after you qualify. So you either have to let your contract lapse and pay an astronomical rate, or renew your contract with them, since they will "not apply the rewards to your final bill." This is just a scheme to lock in customers. You can't actually get the rewards until after you've renewed your contract or let it lapse and pay high rates which way out balance the rewards.

So I left and went with a reputable company with a better rate and no gimmicks to lock me in at the end of my contract.

I will say from the beginning my situation is unusual in that my property has two services, one for the home and a separate one for guard lights. It took many months of communication with customer service, supervisors, and even a letter to the company president before they were able to (a) realize I had two services, (b) put them together in one account so I would receive only one bill. Their email notifications of bills still do not add both amounts together for the correct bill amount, and they are unable to make both service plans end on the same date, making me choose new plans twice instead of once.

Bounce energy puts some promotions and lower bills first three months but after that they put lots of extra fees even if you have lowest rate per kwh. I also bad experience with 3 months fixed plan. I did not renew for new fixed rate and I left bounce energy. They charged me $135 early termination fee. The last thing I hate Bounce energy they charged me late fee around $3 and disconnect notice $20 even if I set up autopayment. Something was wrong their system but they charged me these extra fees. They are just finding reason to charge. This company put lots of referral and promotion awards but they took all of them in 3-4 months from you.

I defaulted so they say on my payment arrangement I can't be granted another arrangement for 90 days. I am a low income mother with 4 kids in Texas. The arrangement was for 2weeks out from June 19th which is July 3rd. Now they're saying the 1st which is 2 days and I've never defaulted on arrangement before. One mistake and be in the dark is what they say. I have been with them for 6 years just change my plan to a contract after 6 years and put on balance billing to help. Both my mother and I have used Bounce Energy for about 3 years. Our bills are always low. My neighbor has TXU and his bill is $50 higher then mine all the time. The rewards are awesome for paying your bill on time. I have collected over $325 in rewards over 3 years. You receive a new reward after every 6 on time payments. You choose your reward. Now after being on time for 3 straight years, I get an extra 3% of my monthly bill as well. Low cost energy with rewards. You can't go wrong with Bounce.

I just finished my Tremendous24 program and 3% cash back. Upon renewing, Bounce was not competitive and I have switched to another provided. I was on auto pay and paid all bills on time. I received my reward for the first 12 months, but Bounce stole my last 12 months. The fine print states you have to be an active customer (meaning I must have been a customer on month 25) to get your reward. They basically stole $100 from me. An experience like this make me glad I am no longer a customer.

If you're not with Bounce energy you're definitely missing out. Service renewal is seamless, billing is transparent and straight forward, and the perks are great.Prepaid visa cards just because and now 3% off my monthly bill as a result of 36 months of on-time payments. I even got a credit on my bill one month, with no prior fanfare or noise. This is what I really like about Bounce, other companies sneakily stiff you, Bounce quietly rewards you.I do get offers from other utility companies but I really have no desire or motivation to leave Bounce simply because I have everything I need right here. I switched electricity providers every 6 months to a year until I switched to Bounce over two years ago. I have not been able to come up with a good reason to switch to another provider since then. Bounce has an awesome rewards program (no other provider I had ever used offered one) and their rates are competitive. Twice they have given me a 'match the rate' discount to keep me as a customer. The only times I have needed to contact them was before contract renewal times and their customer service was great. I am still the type of person who will check and make sure I am getting a good deal come my next renewal time period, but I couldn't be happier with Bounce right now. I'm not sure if I will ever switch companies again... and that is a relief! Their customer service is great although I have not had to call them for much over the last two years. They offered me a 'beat the competitor's discount' to keep me as a customer as well as a bill credit. When you see other much lower rates - make sure you read the fine print as there is usually a catch. I have not had any problems with Bounce Energy over the last two years and highly recommend them! Overall, bounce energy gives me good rates and has great customer service. Every time I've called customer service they've been nothing but helpful and understanding. I live in a 1 story 3 bedroom home that's about 1500 sq ft and my bill never goes above $60 in the summer time. During the winter I only pay about $30!!

After having been a customer for over a year, and using the autopay option, I was not notified that the autopay had any issues. When I called in to Bounce, the girl could not even tell me what was wrong with the Autopay. In spite of the fact that I had also selected paperless billing, I received no email telling me that I was going to be disconnected until the minute that I was disconnected....which I should mention was 2 weeks after the due date - and the previous month was paid - not dilinquent. The customer service agent told me that they mail the disconnect notice - not email....although they do email you a notice at the same time that it is being disconnected. I received all other emails telling me that my December bill could be viewed - with no indication that there was any problem with the service. I also received a the regular usage summary. But NO disconnect notice. This is ludicrous. I should also mention that this occurred the day before the Thanksgiving break. I am told that it may be 24 hours before it is turned back on. 2 things: 1) It is ridiculous for them to have a policy to disconnect 2 weeks after due date, and 2) it is absurd that if you select paperless billing, that they do not send a disconnect notice until the exact day of disconnection - in my case it came through immediately as the power went off. It is worth it to me to pay the fee for canceling my contract and go with a different company, and continue to divert all of my contacts to alternate energy carriers.

Like I was saying. Bounce Energy is just "okay". Like don't get me wrong they're not all that bad, but they aren't all that great either. Everything is well until your plan is up. I had a 12 month plan and didn't notate when my plan was up and when the year went by I received no email or call no NOTHIN! I found out my plan was up with a $180 bill!!! I live by myself!! It is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Apparently they put me on a month to month plan without informing me. I called as soon as I realized what had happened and they did grant me a decent discount and updated my plan for me. The agent was courteous and understanding although I didn't get refunded the price different of what I had been paying for the past 3 months or so at the month to month rate. Bottom Line, if you are GREAT, FANTASTIC, AMAZING, at keeping track of your plans then go for it. But if you can avoid getting Bounce for any reason, go with someone else! I changed my plan to 6 months just to give them another shot, but I did it mainly out of convenience. There are better providers out there. And bounce is simply alright. OH, and their website is awful! Sometimes you can't even login and I rely a lot on paying my bill online, tough luck! Having said that, if you choose to go with bounce because of prices, then go with it, just be careful. Because ultimately you do what you gotta do regardless of service.

I recently moved to Texas from Florida and did not know where to start. I found out the hard way that Texas has 100 different electric companies to choose from. I did weeks of research before I landed on Bounce Energy. The customer service representative Kyle was awesome! He answered all of my questions from kWh, to base fee, to non-recurring fees etc. I think I had a full hour of questions for him. He explained the rewards program and signed me up with no problems. This will be my first month with Bounce Energy and hopefully more years with them. Gained another happy customer!

They are kind of terrible service company. I've been with them for 3 years. When I referred my friend, they doubled my bill than the usual charge. When I asked them why? They explained that I have a monthly plan and that is the price of the market. But my friend was the same and she got much lower rate than me. When I told them about my friend rate, they said this is your rate and you cannot compare with the others. Then I canceled my account after 2 months. Later I found they did not give me the referral. They said because I canceled my account. But I canceled the account 2 months after my friend paid her bill. Don't go with this company. They do not have good service and customer service. The people over there are so rude. They do not take care of you. They are the worst I saw in Houston so far.

I call and am always placed on hold, which is code for, we are going to give you the run-around.I signed up for paperless billing, no $5. Did their home survey, no $5. Another reward was a gift card, did not get it, got less than the gift card amount taken off my bill. Soon I will be able to switch companies, and I am going to!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been with them for over 3 years, and don't plan on switching companies any time soon. I personally can't stand the heat and at my house the AC is on 24 hours a day, but my bill would never go higher than about $60 for my 2 bedroom apartment. I've been with them for over 3 years, and i've never had any issues or complaints. As far as for the rewards, I've ALWAYS received my reward (my favorite being my chickfila gift card).

I was offered a promotional cash back rebate if bill was paid on time for consecutive months but when the last month was coming up for me to receive the rebate, the company forgot to email me my statement. What a coincidence! And since I rely on the emails to stay on top of the billing, well that threw me off and it cost me the rebate. I wasn't to pleased with that! Oh well, live and learn!

I have been a Bounce Energy customer for over 6 years. When I didn't immediately renew my plan with them this year, my rate increased by 60% for the month of JULY, probably the hottest time of the year. When I called, I was on hold for over 20 minutes after pressing the "existing customer" option. When i was disconnected, I entered "new customer" option and held for only 5 minutes. Obviously Bounce is not interested in taking care of their existing customers. I will not make the mistake of using Bounce Energy again. Found another provider at half the cost.

I was with this company 5 years and my contract came up for renewal two months ago. Did they notify me of that...NO!!! But yet they charged me 2xs the rate I originally had for 2 years. I was entitled for a $100 credit or 1 month free electricity if I stayed with them for 2 years. Did I get it? No, I had to call and ask for my $ which they say it will be mailed 6 to 8 weeks...really!!! If this is how they thank you and treat you for being a loyal customer for 5 years I rather sign up for service with another company. Beware!!!!

I moved to Texas 5 years ago and switched electric companies every 6 - 12 months (from Startex to Frontier to Champion) until I switched to Bounce in January 2015. I expected to change again in January 2016 but I have been so happy with their service and with my bills... that I think I am going to stick with them for a while. Their rewards program is awesome! Even if you find a rate that is a little lower, Bounce's rewards will surely make up the difference if you pay on time. Customer service was great for the very few times I've had to call.

I've been a customer of Bounce for almost 5 years, through 4 moves. Their customer service is excellent. I've never had a billing issue or discrepancy. I've had a few questions that were answered promptly after contacting them.I've never had a connection or disconnection issue.I'm glad they're promoting more green energy in recent years.I wish they would revamp their website. It could use some updates and streamlining as far as user experience/interface. However, they've done a good job of making themselves accessible electronically and I appreciate that.They also have a pretty decent rewards systems - I'm receiving a $15 Starbucks gift card for paying on time 6 months in a row, which I would already do regardless.

Bounce has been great so far!! It was pretty easy to set up a new account (just call and the customer service rep will do everything for you), but what I really like about them are the promotions! They have a ton! My last electric company (BTX utilities) didn't do stuff like that, at least to my knowledge. I haven't had to pay yet, and I've been a customer for two months. That says a lot to me. I also was able to get a fully green plan, which was important to me. You can get $50 if you use a promotion code (that's what I did).

I've had Bounce Energy for a couple of years now in Alvin, TX. I've had absolutely no issues with them. I've even transferred services recently and was able to switch to a cheaper plan. I've read some of the negative reviews here and a few people mentioned that their kwh has doubled after switching plans - personally (in my opinion), I think their usage just went up so because of that, the "average kwh" that they are seeing on their bill is higher, which leads them to think that it is higher in general. That's not the case at all. It just shows the average kwh of what you're paying, which is in relation to, well, how much electricity you use.

I have no complaints with Bounce Energy. I have a great experience with them and even renewed after my year was up. My bill changes , depending on the season, however, I have never rec'd an outrageous bill. The most my light bill has been is $150 range. If there has ever been a need for me to contact Bounce energy the customer service was always great. Choose Bounce energy. You wont be disappointed.

Bounce Energy has excellent customer service and great rewards! When we initially signed up we had a few issues which were quickly remedied. We chose the Express Move 24 plus plan which includes a Nest Learning Thermostat and we couldn't have chosen a better option! We received great discounts, coupons, and moving quotes. Our energy bills are very low since the Nest Thermostat was installed! The reward programs are extremely fun! For some reason my account wasn't going toward rewards, and the customer service representative was helpful, thorough, and apologetic. We highly recommend this company!

Renewing with the same energy provider for the first time since moving to Texas over four years ago. I just can't leave Bounce! Their rewards program is awesome, their customer service is awesome and I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Their rates were not as low as some of the other companies - but after a few phone calls I spoke to an agent who gave me a monthly retention discount in addition to lowering their posted rate. SO - keep asking until you get what you want.

So much for JD Power & Associates surveys.

I would definitely NOT recommend Bounce. I ordered service to be turned on 3 days prior to moving into my new residence. I go to move in, auto garage door doesn't open. I walk in and find the electricity is not on! This is at 5:30 on a Friday night. I was on the phone for over an hour to get the service on. At that point I was already locked into their contract.Every time I call there is either an unacceptable length of a wait time or I get a message that Bounce is experiencing "technical difficulties" and I cannot get through to anyone. When I do actually get through I find the reps are untrained, unprofessional and cannot answer my questions. Chat reps have shut me down when when they can't answer my questions.The rewards program is a joke. a total farce. I chose a gift card once and did not receive it after 2 months. When I called about it I was told they "ran out" of gift cards. They offered an Amazon coupon through MPell Solutions which was not honored by Amazon. Their service is so bad I am reporting them to the BBB. I can't wait till my contract with them is finished.

Just joined Bounce energy and could not be happier. A friend in Dallas told me about them but I was skeptical at first until my first bill came in the mail. It was over $60 dollars less than what I was charged by TXU and that was before the rebate. I am locked in for another year, I have no choice. They tell you these stories about all the gift cards you will get for just paying your bill on time. I pay my bill on time but I will take a reward for it....except these rewards are bogus. I got the first gift card for $15 to Amazon. Tried to use it, it was used. Talked to an EXTREMELY rude representative. I finally told her just don't tell me any more crap about a gift card, just listening to her yammer gave me a headache! Just go for a company that offers low rates, don't be sucked in as I was with the offer of free stuff. Like you Mom said....nothing is free and Bounce certainly is not.

I was with another company that merged with bounce. After speaking with my previous company I was told I could maintain my current contract that had another year remaining. I recieved and email acknowledging my order with bounce which I did not initiate. I wanted to maintain my contract as I was told I could because I had locked in a good rate and we plan on moving in the near future so it just made sense. After calling to find out what my new contract was I found out my rate was increased from 7.1755 cents per kWh to 8.5. I do not think its right that I was switched over to a new company without discussing terms or that my rate was increased when I had a contract. As a consumer we are penalized for breaking or contract so why is it ok for the company to break my contract and raise my rates. I am very dissatisfied with this whole process and will be looking for a new electricity provider.

We decided to switch to Bounce Energy when we moved into a new home in July of 2015. So far, we are extremely pleased. Their communication (electronic) is excellent. They send savings opportunities via email as well as your weekly electricity usage, so you know what to expect on your monthly bill. On that note, their rates are awesome compared to our previous supplier, First Choice Power. Our bill is now $125 (in the Texas summer months) or so per month as opposed to close to $300!! Customer service has been easy to work with as well. They also have rewards programs - which is a plus on top of what we are already saving! We have called 2 or 3 times to set up the account, add a location and for a quick billing question, and they answer quickly and are polite. So far, though we are just 4 months in, we are very happy with Bounce and how easy it is to work with him. I can definitely recommend them to others at this point.

I was a Bounce energy customer services since February 2012 - June 2013 and again from Jan-2014 till last week. I was very much satisfied with the services until last week before I called their customer service to transfer my services from one apartment to another and to my surprise i was asked to deposit $400 just for moving my services to new apartment. I don't understand this as why an existing customer who is paying all the bills on time is suddenly being charged with deposit of $400 when he's just asking to move the services. There was no satisfactory answer from the person on the call which can justify the deposit that I was asked for. After that I called another energy company and they immediately processed my request without asking for a single penny.Ill definitely not recommend anyone to go with this energy company. On their website they do lot of marketing that if you pay these many bills on time youll get this or youll get that. Whereas Im being a customer from last 22 months and forget about giving any discounts or what they advertise on their site, they asked me for $400 deposit just for moving my services.I would suggest better go with some other energy company then this one.

I am using Bounce Energy for 2 months now. Moving from my earlier service provider is no issue. Got my $25 discount in first bill for signing Bounce Energy without calling or following them. In second month automatic bill got processed but i received mail that issue in payment so contact Help Desk. On contacting they said payment is processed it is just technical issue from there side. So in 2 months no issue. They have now $75 discount for new customer enrolling.

Was charged a $300 early termination fee on my close-out bill, even though the contract states that there is no early termination fee if you move, and that you provide Bounce with your forwarding address. I did exactly what was asked and they still charged me.

Terrible experience. On my first bill as a new customer, I was charged for a priority connect fee by Encore that Bounce requested -- not me. I asked for proof that I had requested a priority connect (they are recorded) and a request an adjustment. Both requests were ignored. Customer Service talks a good talk, but that's all it is. Once they take advantage of you, they won't make it right. Also, after repeated requests, they can't get my service address correct. On my bill it reads: "0 @rr 1 China Springs" What the heck kind of address is that?

I found customer service very helpful in choosing the plan that was right for me. Bounce also allows you to select what rewards you want to earn so that you get what is most important to you. I switched electric providers nearly every six months since moving to Texas 4 years ago always looking for a better rate. I switched to Bounce about 7 months ago and plan to stay with them I like them so much! Their rates are competitive & I love their rewards program... which I didn't have with any of the other companies I used. Switching to them was easy, their bills are straightforward, their customer service has been great. I highly recommend them. We love Bounce, have been Bounce customers for over 4 yrs now & have found Bounce to offer not only good customer service but also are very competitive on their rates. there was one time I failed to choose a plan when ours ran out making out rate plan month to month at over 12 cents per kw instead of 8 cents kw, I called bounce explained what happened and without any problems they helped us lock into a plan and adjusted our bill instantly. Not only are they a little lower per kw but they give you a welcome bonus for paying on time.. you choose from 3 rewards options. the option we choose toped out at 36 mo on bonus rewards but still earn a 3% discount on your monthly bill when you pay on time. I would like to see the airline rewards plan change to be points accrued under any form of payment instead of being an option only if you are paying with 1 certain credit card that will work to earn flight mileage. otherwise I would have switched to airline rewards after toping out on our rewards plan.

Its very good electric company and I have been using since 1 and 1/2 year without any problem. After switching to this provider my bill almost reduced to half. Also they have very good reward program and gives you cash back of $50 , $25 etc on time to time like for 3 or 6 months or if autopay chosen. Their rates are decent and didn't get any problems so far and it is very easy to switch to Bounce Energy. NOT SURE WHY PEOPLE ARE GIVING NEGATIVE REVIEWS. 1. I wanted to add a new service to my account. So I tried using the "Transfer of Service" option, it worked fine until I hit Submit. It gave me an error. Then I tried the chat, but was told that that functionality does not work and I have call them. So I called them. I was told that they see 3 ESI ID's for my new address and I was asked to resolve this with Centerpoint and call Bounce Energy when I have the right ESI ID. Then I tried the ESI ID lookup ( by searching on Google), it showed precisly ONE ESI ID for the address. So I called them back, this time they helped me without asking me for the ESI Id, the rep was too good, he did the ESI ID look up etc and setup the account. So the previous rep didnot even care to do the lookup.2. I got a DISCONNECT notice for my another account for non-payment of balance. I tried to login, there system was down. So I called, I was told they cannot help since they too cannot access the system. So I chatted the next day, I was told that the notice was sent in error, and they have no way to find errorneous notices sent. (They did give me a 5 dollar bill credit)

I am a customer since 2009 and had a good experience. The company changed, they keep changing there policy contract to get more money from you. They give a lower rate but at the end you pay more as they charge high disconnection fees for being late just hours and others. They used to give a fair 3 day late notice to charge per contract, but now, is just after being late for hours. Please check your bill carefully and will see how you finish paying much higher rates due to hidden charges. Called customer service and they told me they can "adjust" the contract as they see fit". Recommend to stay away from Bounce as they are not transparent with you.

We have had Bounce Energy for 5 months now and have been extremely satisified! We signed up online because that was the only way to get it the cheapest and we could customize our plan to our needs. They also gave us a bill credit and give us a bill credit for special promotions when they are running. We have not had any problems with our bill and trust that if we did they would gladly take care of it. We previously had Tri eagle but are much happier with our savings and over all experience with Bounce.

We have had Bounce Energy for a year. Sounded so great when we signed up. We signed up under a plan that allowed us to receive American Airlines points/miles. Well. after many many phone calls speaking to everyone as we were switched around, and given the run-around, we were lied to multiple times. To date not one point/mile has been transfered, after more promises then one could imagine. Each and every time, we called in asking about the miles that were not reported, we were promised faithfully the miles would be transfered to American immediately. it has NEVER happened. Please beware of this company, the rates may be good but their word is not! PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I read many reviews and decided to give Bounce a try. I have just started with them this month. No problems so far. I considered prices and customer experiences in making my selection. My previous provider had rewards that were silly - very restrictive and difficult to use. So, I'm not sure if Bounce is like all the rest with rewards, but a $50 credit is a nice perk. I really don't see how Bounce could get a bad review? I have been with them going on 3 years now I am Extremely happy with the service, prices and rewards!! Living in TX A/C bills can sky rocket the rates seem to be better than competitors I took my time reviewing and researching many company's before I signed up! I used a code to get $50 bucks off and you can too! I have earned a $50 visa card a $50 restaurant.com card a $15 Starbucks card and 1 month free electricity plus countless other savings! They offered a $150 for switching. I was supposed to receive after 3 on-time payments and I'm pretty good at keeping up with those things except this time. I sent an email 2 weeks ago, after 7 months of not having received the gift card, and they never responded. I called this morning and they apologized and said that I was supposed to have called, which is a lie: the terms stated that I was supposed to make a selection online and I did.
Same with their rewards programs. They say you can select/redeem online, but there's nowhere on their website. I had to call and they sent an email saying I had to respond to an email from another company which sends the gift cards and the other company never sent the email. I had to call again and finally received the card.
Don't sign up if you don't want to pay enormous extra (dubious) fees which you get back in form of "rewards" if you spend a lot of time calling customer service.
BTW, all the great reviewers seem to just do it to post their codes, so that they get the referral bonus.

Contacted these people because one of my tenants were using them and the power was already in the home. I work out with them to continue the service, create me and account and just forward the bill to my home address. Easy Right......Nope. These people turn the power off right in the middle of a major cleaning job. Then they tell me to contact some other company call Oncor because I might have a "power outage" in the area. .... wrong.....They created the power outage on just my home. On top of that I had to wait for a customer service rep to get on line for over an hour. You can use this company if you like .....but I would highly not recommend it !!!

I've never dealt with a company like this before. I pay all my bills electronically & submit payment a few days before due date. Bounce showed they constantly got payments late (no one else did). They suggested I submit payment weeks earlier than due date & I suggested they change their due date. They cut power for a $44.00, 1 mouth payment because they hadn't received it so I had to pay again just to get power turned back on. They charged me $25.00 for cutting it off, $25 to turn it on! Tried to get breakdown of costs since I'd paid 1 bill, 2 times. Was on hold for over 2 hrs, no one ever picked up. Sent 3 emails with no replies. But I DID get a letter telling me it was time to renew my contract. At least they have a sense of humor. Can't get away from them fast enough.

I have a previous address and two current addresses with Bounce. You can get on line fast to place a service order but I just waited over 32 minutes between 11 am and noon and was still on hold. Tried the Chat and no one "was there", I should "try later". They also put the burden on the customer to apply for their rewards, and in my experience, their agent does not handle the reward requests. I would love to have a manager call me. I have been with Bounce Energy for over 18 months now and could not be happier. It seems like I have tried every other company out there until I found Bounce. They have been exceptional across the board. Before my month rate plan expired, they sent numerous emails months in advance reminding me to change. When I didn't select a new plan, my rates did go up but not through the roof like with others. Oh and guess what... they still sent me reminders to select a new plan to get the best rate. I really could not be happier. I see comments from time to time on here about customer service but I have never had a single issues. I hope you will be as happy as I am.

Bounce Energy used Switch and Bait tactics to sign me up for service at a low rate, and then changed the rate up without my knowledge by sending an email that "forced" me to make the choice and gave no options.Their customer service may be better skilled for the army, than for a client service environment. The moment you connect with them they go on the attack. Even their managers, when I escalate to them, they hung up the phone in my face.I already cancelled my service with them, even if they are threatening a penalty, but I would like others to know so maybe they are spared this stress.

So obviously you should compare the EFT label for all companies and compare prices in the range of how much u use regularly but if bounce is close to another company in price I would definitely recommend it based on a few reasons.

1) website is pretty awesome - can track rewards, view bills, set up auto pay
2) referral program and rewards is pretty solid - I saved 300 bucks last year off referrals alone
3) customer service has been great every time I've called included to transfer my service

I believe that Bounce Energy is planting reviews from fictitious customers, something most other companies are not doing. The reviews that specify a promo code and are extremely glowing are almost certainly being planted. Other sources have complained about Bounce Energy's failure to honor special deals. My bad experience deals with something else. Misleading advertising which some other companies are also guilty of. There was a huge problem with Bounce Energy failing to send paperwork that contained necessary disclosures. Bounce Energy refused to honor an email that specifically said I had 3 business days from the date of receiving documents in the mail to cancel without penalty. I saw another website elsewhere that was so heavily stacked with glowing reviews for Bounce Energy, I knew it either had to be cherrypicked or planted and bogus.

Customer Service sucks. When I called to the customer service, the agent on the other side was not even capable of looking up my account, and asked me" are you sure you are with Bounce Energy"? When I changed my address, she kept taking the wrong house number, and was not even bothered to check the house number with me. When I asked her to repeat the number to me, she said "Oh I already submitted it", and it turned out that she had the wrong house number. Save yourself, and don't choose Bounce Energy.

I have been using Bounce since November 2013, I must say they are the best Company i have ever dealt with! I signed up on a very low rate 0f 7.9 per KWH I have NEVER had a problem and I get rewards every few months which is AWESOME! I have had many friends make the switch and none have been disappointed I highly recommend them!! If your new to TX you will want to take advantage of this low rates and many rewards for paying on time because the summer heat will generate high bills but with bounce you will be happy that your low rate will keep $$ in your pocket!!

I'm a truck driver and i'm gone for weeks at a time. When i get home i get my bills and pay them. This time i get home and i have a disconnect letter ... Ok ... I call Bounce and try to get a ONE day extension for when i get paid. They were quick to say no and it's not allowed anymore. I've been with them for over 2 years... After waiting an initial 10 minutes to speak to a rep., I was put on hold for 10+ minutes of silence. When I questioned what the rep was telling me, I was put on hold again, this time with music, for 30+ minutes without ever hearing anything other than an automated recording and music. Anyways after being a loyal customer- paying close to 300 a month for 18 month the bill more than doubled- to $626- for a 2 bedroom, one bathroom with 2 people?!?
When I called to tell them something was wrong they tried to make it look like it was normal to have that big of an electricity bill and even I stayed calm (because I wont pay- luckily there wasnt enough money in my account when they tried to take (steal) it so will change my debit card). they got very defensive which made it even more clear that something was wrong with that price. No explanation nothing just someone that seemed slow and detached...
Well I switched to a different company and now pay $150 a month. They billed me for the half of the month until I switched another $450 I am refusing to pay!
It's absolutely rediclueles- the 2 largest electricity bills I received my whole life in the winter 2 month in a row... I guess they jacked up the rates. They need to because their customers are running away fast. I noticed that most of the reviews are negative besides the one with the promo code. Do I need to say more?!

On 1/7/2015, I was told I had made the 6 payments on time and should receive my $ 50.00 "GIFT CARD WITHIN 4-6 WEEKS". On 2/12, spoke with Victoria, she said "You should receive GIFT CARD ANY DAY NOW". 2/23/15, called and customer service said "NO YOU DON'T RECEIVE AN ACTUAL GIFT CARD. WE WILL SEND YOU THE CODE FOR A FREE $ 50.00 GIFT CARD". I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said there is not one and "YOU DON'T NEED TO TALK TO ANYONE BUT ME". So, On 1/7/15-I had made the 6 payments on time & was told 4-6 weeks for $ 50.00 gift card. GUESS WHAT? 3/2/15-NO GIFT CARD, NO CODE FOR A GIFT CARD. Bounce provides pretty good service but when you are promised a reward for paying on time, it is ALL A LIE. The Customer Service is very very rude and you can expect to get hung on many times. RELIANT IS MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE AND SAME RATE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE EXCEPT FOR "BOUNCE ENERGY".

I signed up with Bounce Energy a year ago and agreed to have my monthly billing charged to my credit card. Therefore all timely payments. The plan included receiving a $50 restaurant gift card after 6 months of timely payments and a $50 Visa gift card after 12 months. They will not contact you when you have earned these rewards. I forgot about the $50 restaurant earned last August and contacted them three weeks ago and I was told it would take three weeks beforing hearing from them in reference to this award. The monthly base pay of $9.95 is too high and for that reason I found another energy company that has no monthly base pay charges and lower rates. I switched to this company earlier this month. I called Bounce Energy for my $50 Visa card reward and they told me because I switched to another company they would not issue it. This was not part of the agreement of signing up. I would never give them my business again and I don't recommend this company for energy.

We are actually paying 13 cents per KWH instead of 6.9 cents. Account manger never returned our call in this matter. For now, we are stucked until the end of our contract :(

Customer service is terrible, when we sold our house in dallas . Bounce sent the final bill to an unknown address,so I never received the bill. So they sent it off to a collection agency without any follow up. I have paid the bill and found out that they took the info down wrong, stating that it was their fault,but they don't care and will not send me a letter stating that. They won't return calls, they lie and say they can not send out a letter like that.!!!!! They just lie and say that has to come from corp but wont connect me to anyone at corp. They also had two other ways to get hold of me after they got the bill returned for wrong address, phone and email are both correct. But they say that after you close your account they don't use those anymore.I would call that BS,use another company.

We have had service with Startex, Champion and Frontier and didn't have any problems with any of them. We shop around when the contract is up to get better rates with different companies. If any of the three companies had offered us the lower rate, we would have stayed with them. We just switched to Bounce and so far the experience has been great. We love the reward program idea... which we didn't have with the other companies. The prices were competitive for companies with positive reviews. I ignore the lower priced companies if their reviews are poor. Customer service on the phone was quick and the representatives were very helpful. I called 3 times before making the switch just to see how their phone service was. Thank you and good luck!

I originally signed up for Bounce under a 6 moth plan, so I could test the waters and see how I felt about them. They offered a pretty low rate, so I decided to go for it. 6 months came and went, and my contract period with them expired. I had not experienced any problems with them, so I decided to renew, but my rates were *significantly* higher for the renewal. I decided to sign up for a year contract anyway, since I was already established with them.My biggest complaint with Bounce is that they have very poor customer support. They are a "take or leave it" sort of operation, similar to the utility providers with which we have no other option to use, like the water company. Bounce does not really focus on customer service at all. Electricity providers have competition here in Texas due to deregulation of the electric market, and there are quite a few energy providers one can choose from. You would think Bounce would offer more support for their customers, since we can choose our own provider, but Bounce does no such thing. They do not offer payment extensions, live chat support, or a decent average billing program. Their website is clunky, and archaic. Do not bother e-mailing them for support, because they will never respond to you. I have sent countless emails to which I have never received one reply. Once my year with Bounce is up, I am done with their company forever.

Looking forward to earning rewards. I I switched to Bounce Energy after Reliant customer service representative blatantly lied to me about the rates, service, and terms. I received a bill for $163 for 22 days. I just moved into the apartment and work in events so I am never home. The rate was very high. I am from another state and not accustom to deregulation etc. I asked the rep to thoroughly explain and she did not. Therefore I am here. I will be back to write another review in a few months. Honestly a lot of people will complain about the rewards program and all of that but to me it is a non-issue because I save a lot of money on a monthly basis. My bill is usually never over $70 a month which makes me very happy. Overall a good company to use for your home.

I have had Reliant, Direct Energy, and currently am with Bounce Energy. Reliant was the worst. Direct is pretty good. When I had them, they participated in Light up Texas which helps struggling families get their bill paid. BUT when I moved to a new town, I researched for the best price and found Bounce. It really sounded to good to be true, but they are absolutely AMAZING. First off when I Googled reviews, I found several people posted their "Refer A Friend Code" in their references because when someone starts service and uses the code, that person AND the person starting service gets a $50 bill credit. Which is Legit. Bounce Energy also sends you movie theater and restaurant gift cards, and periodically $50 bill credits when you pay your bill on time for consecutive months at a time (starting at 4 months.) I live in an upstairs, high vaulted ceiling apartment (1 br) and my bill is always around $85-$90 even when it's hot outside. They will send you a weekly usage summary so that you can see how much you're using each week (which helps me be cautious of when I need to quit leaving lights on in rooms that I'm not in.) All in all the best thing is that the bill is so low and then the side perks are just great. It's the little things :)

CURRENT UPDATE: We still couldn't be happier and they still offer us the cheapest rate. We locked in our rate for 12 months, picked the e-billing option, yes to auto pay, no thanks on green. Plus we got a $25 bill credit at sign-up, a $50 credit after our first 3 months, quarterly rewards and the referral bonus is great. We lowered our electricity bill and earned $50!! Sign-up-today! Great Company. As for the negative reviews about not receiving the bill credits and late fees just make sure you make your payments on time EVERY month. Also customer service has never been and issue for us. When we have had to call our questions where answered and the wait time is usually less then 5 minutes. We are still very happy customers!! Thanks to the rewards program and cheaper rates we are now saving over $300 a year. I highly recommend using this company.

I have had this company for sometime now and they are seriously awesome. Their customer service has been prompt to help me every time I have called, and I have never had any service or billing issues. The rate they advertised is the one I have been charged so far. They were pretty good for the past year, then my renewal came and it was .01/kwh higher, 1 cent, and did not do anything to keep me - when I called to speak to someone about my renewal, they were not very helpful and said I could see my renewal prices online and that was it. No attempt to keep me. Their rewards program was pretty good, I did get rewards of $50 for 6 mth payment on time - it was a restaurant.com gift card. If they offered to keep my rate the same for another year, not even lower it, I would have stayed. But no such luck. I changed to Brilliant and will see how that goes for another year - if I have to change every year, which seems to be the pattern for the last 2 years, I will. Gexa did the same to me a year ago. It is a shame that no company will try to keep their customers by maintaining or even lowering their rate. It costs more more to get a new customer than to keep a current one - don't they know that?

I got this company because I was told by my apartment complex to get them. I was 19 when I moved into my apartments and got this energy company. I am YOUNG, but NOT STUPID. After being with this company for a few months, I received a notice from my bank that I had $100 in NSF fees. I knew I should have plenty money in my account. When I contacted my bank they said that Bounce Energy took a payment twice, which cause several other transactions to be "insufficient Funds". I told my bank they should not have done that. I called Bounce and they didn't even apologize. All they did was ask if I wanted to leave it on there as a credit. I told them no because they never should have taken the payment twice. They said they would credit my account. Fortunately for them, my bank had already told me that they saw where this was the energy company's fault and refunded the NSF fees back to my account. They are SO lucky that I have an understanding bank.

Hello Sir/Ma'am, I would recommend this company. Some tips that I hope helps you out for those in the Military as I am or if youre not I think youll still find it helpful. If you have movers scheduled I'd recommend having the electricity turned on one day in advance. I scheduled my electricity to be turned on the same day the movers were showing up and the electricity was delayed by an hour from when it was supposed to be turned on. The scheduled turn on is completely automated so calling the company wont do much good the day the service is supposed to start. Save yourself the stress and have it turned on early. Also the autopay is a pretty good system which saves you from the hassle. Overall Im happy with the service and dont have any major complaints. Wishing you all the best and a stress free experience with this service and life in general!

Bounce is a good company. (As far as my monthly bills are concerned!) However, its time to renew my plan and after a year of loyalty I was told by the rep that there's a $100 deposit required to renew my service. Never have I been with any company and they required me to pay an additional deposit. I do not believe they value their customers as they should. Don't get me wrong the $100 deposit isn't the issue. The issue is the treatment of loyalty and being committed to a company that doesn't hold the same loyalty and commitment to you! I honestly believe this is illegal and I'm looking into it. Has anyone else had this happen to then as well?

I have had some bad experiences with other companies, but Bounce has a very good reputation here in my area. I ended up signing up online with the "build your own" plan. I have every expectation that they will be a great provider. I value customer service, and that was a major part of my decision.

They have a lot of reviews offering "promo codes" and pricing that I am convinced are published by representatives. Terrible customer service long call wait times for anything unless you are buying new service. Save yourself some time and stay away from these guys.

First off you don't get your rewards as promise. Second if you go just one day pass your due date they will blow up your phone telling you to pay. Then right after 6 days of being late they send a disconnection notice and then charge you $20 just for that and then a $10 late fee!! Not everyone gets paid one due dates! Oh and when I try to call and ask questions on my bill I sit an average of 30mins on hold waiting for a real person to come on to speak to! So yep I am now breaking my contract and they can shove my last bill and any other fees up their asses!

After having Bounce since 9/2012 (switched from 20+ years w/TXU) and recommending Bounce many times during those early months and always paying our bill on time or ahead of payment time (and receiving several referral 'bonuses' and 'cash-back rewards'), I noticed when it came time to lock in a new rate this spring 2014, that Bounce wasn't getting customer ratings as highly as they were in 9/2012. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they seemed to be constantly in contact via email (their touted 'customer account management software') about everything from weekly usage to offers etc. But, I noticed other companies were not only getting better reviews but were also offering better rates, which in the fall of 2012 were almost always dominated by Bounce. But, again in the Spring 2014, I gave Bounce the benefit of the doubt and long story short, I renewed with Bounce and took a 24 month plan Spring 2014. At their constant urging, I enrolled in 'auto-pay'. Between my wife and me, we have 5 BOA accounts and recently BOA sent me a new card on one of my accounts with the caveat that unusual activity has taken place and I should activate the new card in place of the other one -- and to BOA's credit, they called me almost daily saying I needed to activate the new card. Turns out it was the card that Bounce has on file for 'auto-pay' and once I activated the replacement card - BOA cancelled the old card. The cancellation phase passed over a long weekend and the Bounce 'auto' payment was not collected. The company (Bounce) that bombards me constantly with emails (their touted 'customer account management software'), did NOT send an email indicating anything about a non-payment, overdue payment -- nada, zip, nothing! In fact, I eventually received a phone call from an unknown '877' phone # - 5 days after the 'uncollected' due date from Bounce 'collections' with a message to call. It was interesting I got an American-sounding human very quickly when the 'collections' dept. was called, but other Bounce # take me into customer purgatory hold (which I honestly thought was different about Bounce in the fall of '12)! So once called, still not knowing about the BOA 'auto-pay' issue, the Bounce collection woman,'Yolanda' was at first a scripted robot-like rep, asking me multiple questions (account #, address, name, etc) before finally my last 4 digits of my SS#, which she said didn't match and she couldn't continue. "Really!? After 18 months, do you not have another security question you can ask?" After putting me on hold multiple times and literally cutting me which I believe she intentionally did after I ask to speak to a supervisor or someone with the ability to make a decision - which I never spoke to (i called back and to my amazement got 'Yolanda' again) then eventually as I asked 'Yolanda' she became condescending with a smirking tinge while (scriptedly) continually apologized for MY being upset. 'Why are you apologizing for my being upset?" That made no sense! When I asked why I had not rec'd an email (their touted 'customer account management software') about this, she said Bounce didn't do that - that this was my responsibility, even though I pointed out that they send multiple emails (their touted 'customer account management software') a week about everything else. In fact every answer she gave was the same: 'when you signed the agreement... customers' responsibility' I asked her to note in my file and pass along company-wide the fact that a courtesy email about a 'auto-pay' not going through would go along way in the future. She smirked and said 'oh, believe me, every word of this call is going into the files'! I asked is the call being recorded, since she did not state it up front, she curtly said, 'Yes!'. That had NOT been indicated to me! I said. 'You (Bounce) have not offered me one thing for being a loyal customer, have you?' She said, 'no'! I asked, 'will you offer me anything for being a loyal customer? "NO!"I said, do you understand how someone that has been loyal for over 18 months payment-wise, made referrals etc and now is being told that it means actually nothing to this company - feels about this. "It IS the customer's responsibility. I apologize you feel this way!", was her answer... Really!? Conclusion, I am appalled with Bounce Energy, their customer service, collection reps and their touted 'customer account management software'. July 2014 Bounce is NOT the company I signed with in 9/2012. Maybe that's par for the course for new aggressive customer-centered companies that eventually become just a cash-cow with a customer-be-damned policy in the wake! Their rates were much higher in 2014, even for a 24-month locked-in rate, but I was loyal! I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe those negative reviews were just hard-to-please bargain hunters, or even shills for other companies, I thought. Well, I don't think that anymore! I know energy companies deal with fuel prices that are constantly in flux and well regulated, but I stayed loyal to Bounce because of the personal service and their touted 'customer account management software'. And, when there were other options, I am now ashamed to say -- I ignored them! Never again! I really, really, really regret renewing with Bounce spring/2014 and not because the prices were not as competitive but the personal service and customer loyalty aspect now means zero to them. Big mistake - on both our parts! As as soon as I can get away from Bounce, I will! Maybe I can't find another company that gives a rip about loyal customers, but I bet I can at least find one, at the same price - if not better that will at the very least be 'different'!... and for me, 'different' will be better than Bounce Energy 7/2014!Fyi, the 'customer account management software' line is from their company blurb at the top of this page!

I've had no problems with bounce, I customized my own plan, they processed my order within 24 hours, I'm enrolled in autopay and I haven't been overcharged. They send you weekly emails about your usage and what your estimated monthly bill will be.

We received notice that our contract was expired and we needed to sign up for a new plan. None of their plans were good so we went with someone else. Now Bounce is trying to charge us an early termination fee. Their customer service refused to help us. On further inspection of our billing we noticed our charges did not add up. We were supposed to get a guaranteed rate but we did not get it. They also refuse to give us an itemized bill with more detailed information about all of the cryptic charges that pushed our bill up. Bounce uses trick gimmicks and funny billing to trick customers. As for right now I must rate them as a bad brand.

I moved into my new apartment a year ago and was told by management that I had to sign up with Bounce Energy for my electric. I had the worst customer service experience on the phone just to enroll. The customer service rep on the phone couldn't get any of the enrollment information correct. I had told him that I wanted to enroll in the month to month Thrifty Saver program, and when he had read the contract over the phone, he had said that I was to be enrolled in that plan. Once I was able to access my Bounce Energy account online however, the account was labeled as the Terriific 12 plan. I called Bounce Energy twice regarding this error, and both times the situation could not be fixed. I was told that Bounce Energy would need to access the recording of my enrollment to verify that it was in fact a mistake. I have never heard back from them, despite trying to inquire as to the status of this huge error.

We signed ip with Bounce, 13 months ago. That hooked us in at 7.6 per kwh. Oir first bill was 5 days and we got the discounted price. The next bill came in and it was around $400. They were bills us at a rate of 15.8 kwh. They fixed the issue and gave us the discounted rate and we locked in a 12 month contract in July last year. I remember cause I was visting family in NM. One year contract at 11.8 kwh. Ok, contract set and started. May, this year, we get an email that our contract is almost up and to renew. July is 12 months, contract should be ending. We found a better at 9.8 kwh and less fees and we did it 15 days before the contract ended. We got our bill and they are saying that we STILL expected to pay them a 200 early cancel fee, 15 days really? I called and they told me to contract did start till aug. Wait when i locked into the contract in the begining, they said two days from that day i couldnt cancel without the fee, but THAT WAS JULY. To shorten it, they arent listening, understanding, or much care since we chose to move. They changed my due dates after Id get the bills, random fees, have to wait 20 plus mins to talk to someone and they would much rather paint their nails and talk about weekend fun.

I got a good initial rate and the rewards are good if you keep paying on time, but after two years the rates are two cents higher than the competitive rates on powertochoose dot org so I have to switch. It's a nice service, but not worth a two cent premium. Seriously?

I've had Bounce for 3 months. So far I'm very pleased with the company. I did my research when I changed from Texas Power. I wanted a Texas Company and Bounce was my first choice. I'm excited about the bonuses offered. As I pay my bill on time anyway, now I'll get great rewards. I've all ready received the $50 reward for referring someone.
