Awesome
I love Bounce Energy. I have had so many wonderful experiences with them. My bill has always been reasonable but I hate that they switched us over to Direct Energy. Since then, my bill has been outrageous like over $300. I never received a $300 when I was with Bounce Energy. Please come back Bounce Energy.

I love Bounce Energy. I have had so many wonderful experiences with them. My bill has always been reasonable but I hate that they switched us over to Direct Energy. Since then, my bill has been outrageous like over $300. I never received a $300 when I was with Bounce Energy. Please come back Bounce Energy.

Great Electricity Provider
Its very good electric company and I have been using since 3 years without any problem. After switching to this provider my bill almost reduced to half. Also they have very good reward program and gives you cash back of $50 , $25 etc on time to time like for 3 or 6 months or if autopay chosen. Their rates are decent and didn't get any problems so far and it is very easy to switch to Bounce Energy.

I changed to Bounce Energy and I am not regretting it.
I had been another company for 1.5 years but their prices just kept rising every time I renovated the contract.
The reward programs with Bounce Energy are pretty cool and there is always an incentive to have the customers happy and saving money!

Best Electricity Comapany
I have been with Bounce Energy for two years and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Prices are low, they reward fun gift cards for on-time payments, and have great customer service. I sadly will be leaving Bounce Energy due to my apartments being bought out, and they were kind enough to wave my cancellation fee. I plan to be back!

Best Electricity Provider in TX
I have been using since around 2 years and no problems with bills and payments, quick customer service, low rates. They have very excellent Rewards and promotions programs for every three or six months like $50 credit to your account, $50 Restaurant gift card for on-time payment, $15 Starbucks Gift card and One month free electricity.

Stop looking... Bounce is the best!
I switched electricity providers every 6 months to a year until I switched to Bounce over two years ago. I have not been able to come up with a good reason to switch to another provider since then. Bounce has an awesome rewards program (no other provider I had ever used offered one) and their rates are competitive. Twice they have given me a 'match the rate' discount to keep me as a customer. The only times I have needed to contact them was before contract renewal times and their customer service was great. I am still the type of person who will check and make sure I am getting a good deal come my next renewal time period, but I couldn't be happier with Bounce right now. Cheap and Rewarding
I've had Bounce Energy for 2 years now and they've yet to disappoint! Rent is generally $40 a month for my apartment in Arlington,Texas and I get rewards for paying on time such as gift cards and movie tickets.

Rewarded for Just Paying Your Bill On Time
I've been with Bounce for over two years now and have had no problems. They literally reward you just for paying your bill on time. I'm on AutoPay and I get rewards every few months for doing essentially nothing. Coming up on a free month of electricity in a few months! Also, they give credits for referrals.

You won't regret switching to Bounce!
I switched electric companies every 6 months to a year until I switched to Bounce 2 years ago. I just renewed today for another year. I'm not sure if I will ever switch companies again... and that is a relief! Their customer service is great although I have not had to call them for much over the last two years. They offered me a 'beat the competitor's discount' to keep me as a customer as well as a bill credit. When you see other much lower rates - make sure you read the fine print as there is usually a catch. I have not had any problems with Bounce Energy over the last two years and highly recommend them! What other company out there offers a rewards program that pays YOU back??? None that I've found. Good luck with your search, but if I were you I'd stop here!

As good as it gets!
I have been using this company since 2014 and I really haven't had a complaint about their service. I have gotten a lot of different rewards and their customer service is great. They usually answer their phones pretty quickly and they don't try to "Bounce" you around.

Great discounts and company.

Great company!
Overall, bounce energy gives me good rates and has great customer service. Every time I've called customer service they've been nothing but helpful and understanding. I live in a 1 story 3 bedroom home that's about 1500 sq ft and my bill never goes above $60 in the summer time. During the winter I only pay about $30!!

$100 off your first months bill!
I've been with them for over 3 years, and don't plan on switching companies any time soon. I personally can't stand the heat and at my house the AC is on 24 hours a day, but my bill would never go higher than about $60 for my 2 bedroom apartment. I've been with them for over 3 years, and i've never had any issues or complaints. As far as for the rewards, I've ALWAYS received my reward (my favorite being my chickfila gift card).

Finally a company I plan to stay with!
I moved to Texas 5 years ago and switched electric companies every 6 - 12 months (from Startex to Frontier to Champion) until I switched to Bounce in January 2015. I expected to change again in January 2016 but I have been so happy with their service and with my bills... that I think I am going to stick with them for a while. Their rewards program is awesome! Even if you find a rate that is a little lower, Bounce's rewards will surely make up the difference if you pay on time. Customer service was great for the very few times I've had to call.

Impressed New Customer
Bounce has been great so far!! It was pretty easy to set up a new account (just call and the customer service rep will do everything for you), but what I really like about them are the promotions! They have a ton! My last electric company (BTX utilities) didn't do stuff like that, at least to my knowledge. I haven't had to pay yet, and I've been a customer for two months. That says a lot to me. I also was able to get a fully green plan, which was important to me. You can get $50 if you use a promotion code (that's what I did).

As a one year customer, we feel very satisfied. The highlight point is the bill is very clear and understandable. No trick, No so called extremely low price with adding some other credit or cost on your bill to surprise you. So, we continue with Bounce energy and keep watching on the price. Great Company!
I've had Bounce Energy for a couple of years now in Alvin, TX. I've had absolutely no issues with them. I've even transferred services recently and was able to switch to a cheaper plan. I've read some of the negative reviews here and a few people mentioned that their kwh has doubled after switching plans - personally (in my opinion), I think their usage just went up so because of that, the "average kwh" that they are seeing on their bill is higher, which leads them to think that it is higher in general. That's not the case at all. It just shows the average kwh of what you're paying, which is in relation to, well, how much electricity you use.

Best provider for electricity in texas
One of the best electricity provider in texas. They have good plans whhich saves money. Excellent website to understand your bill. Most of all have superb rewards program.
Stop Looking - Get Bounce!
I have been using Bounce Energy for almost 2 years now. I was referred by a friend and it has been the best ever since. They offer excellent prices per k/w, and even offer rewards for paying you bills on time - including gift cards and movie tickets. Of course every company has their down falls, but I haven't found one with Bounce. They are a great company! Trust me, you won't regret it!

Zero Complaints :)
I was new to the area and needed to find a reliable energy company fast. I did some searching and found bounce energy and have been with them for a year and a half now. Great company with great incentive programs. So far I've gotten $50 off 1 bill, 2 free movie tickets, and $25 toward a restaurant.

Best yet
Both my mother and I have used Bounce Energy for about 3 years. Our bills are always low. My neighbor has TXU and his bill is $50 higher then mine all the time. The rewards are awesome for paying your bill on time. I have collected over $325 in rewards over 3 years. You receive a new reward after every 6 on time payments. You choose your reward. Now after being on time for 3 straight years, I get an extra 3% of my monthly bill as well. Low cost energy with rewards. You can't go wrong with Bounce.

The utility company that pays you to be a customer
If you're not with Bounce energy you're definitely missing out. Service renewal is seamless, billing is transparent and straight forward, and the perks are great.Prepaid visa cards just because and now 3% off my monthly bill as a result of 36 months of on-time payments. I even got a credit on my bill one month, with no prior fanfare or noise. This is what I really like about Bounce, other companies sneakily stiff you, Bounce quietly rewards you.I do get offers from other utility companies but I really have no desire or motivation to leave Bounce simply because I have everything I need right here. Referring a friend, who signs up, gives both you and them $50 each.If you're not with Bounce I'd say try them, let me refer you:-)

Must Read Review!!
I have been with Bounce Energy for over 4 years now. I have been very happy with the rates and service and always found customer service helpful. In fact while they used to have long wait times they have fixed that issue. I recently called in with an issue on found on my bill and they were quick to work with me to resolve it. Prior to this I tried a number and this company has been the best and great rates.

Good prices, Great Promotions
I have no complaints with Bounce Energy. We are signed up for Auto-pay so we never miss a payment. The rates are reasonable and they offer a variety of promotional programs that can get you cash back or bill credits. We are on the cash back program and have had several $50 referral credits.

Great new experience
I recently moved to Texas from Florida and did not know where to start. I found out the hard way that Texas has 100 different electric companies to choose from. I did weeks of research before I landed on Bounce Energy. The customer service representative Kyle was awesome! He answered all of my questions from kWh, to base fee, to non-recurring fees etc. I think I had a full hour of questions for him. He explained the rewards program and signed me up with no problems. This will be my first month with Bounce Energy and hopefully more years with them. Gained another happy customer!

Excellent Rewards Program!
We've been with Bounce Energy for the past 2+ years and through their referral programs and cash-back rewards plan have accumulated over $600 of credits to our account. This is a significant amount of savings for us, since our typical bill is around $100 (single family ~2000 sqft home) this has covered 6 monthly payments! It's always nice to have the bill come in with ZERO dollars owed :)

Long time customer
I've been a customer of Bounce for almost 5 years, through 4 moves. Their customer service is excellent. I've never had a billing issue or discrepancy. I've had a few questions that were answered promptly after contacting them.I've never had a connection or disconnection issue.I'm glad they're promoting more green energy in recent years.I wish they would revamp their website. It could use some updates and streamlining as far as user experience/interface. However, they've done a good job of making themselves accessible electronically and I appreciate that.They also have a pretty decent rewards systems - I'm receiving a $15 Starbucks gift card for paying on time 6 months in a row, which I would already do regardless.

The Best Energy Company I've Used so Far!
We had had many energy companies in the past and can honestly say Bounce is the best! The package we chose offered the smart learning Nest Thermostat which has been a great money saver! We had some trouble setting up, but they remedied our problems and credited our account for the trouble. 11 months into our relationship with Bounce, we are still thrilled!

They have 4 different rewards program so when you reach the final level of your current reward program you can switch to a different rewards program. Their website is easy to use and setting up as well as canceling autopay is easy.

Great provider, excellent promotions.
We've been with bounce for over two years, and I must say that we are quite happy with our service. We have not experienced any outages and have taken advantage of many of the discount programs. Last month our entire bill was covered by referrals that we had made! Can't complain about that!

I have no complaints with Bounce Energy. I have a great experience with them and even renewed after my year was up. My bill changes , depending on the season, however, I have never rec'd an outrageous bill. The most my light bill has been is $150 range. Bounce Energy has excellent customer service and great rewards! When we initially signed up we had a few issues which were quickly remedied. We chose the Express Move 24 plus plan which includes a Nest Learning Thermostat and we couldn't have chosen a better option! We received great discounts, coupons, and moving quotes. Our energy bills are very low since the Nest Thermostat was installed! The reward programs are extremely fun! For some reason my account wasn't going toward rewards, and the customer service representative was helpful, thorough, and apologetic. We highly recommend this company!

Love this company
Just joined Bounce energy and could not be happier. A friend in Dallas told me about them but I was skeptical at first until my first bill came in the mail. It was over $60 dollars less than what I was charged by TXU and that was before the rebate. The plans were easy to understand and pick and the ordering and switch from TXU was easy and straight forward. Definitely recommending to my family and friends.

Never Had A Problem With Them
Have been with them for over three years. I have had great service with them. Haven't had any issues with them and would recommend them. Every year when my plan is going to expire I always compare shop and they always beat out other energy companies. Remember you always have to read the fine print, because other companies might charge extra hidden fees. Awesome company
I researched many electric companies before I chose them. I was moving into a new house by myself so I wanted an affordable plan with a low rate. 6 months paying market rate
Called them today to verify my bill and was informed that I was paying market rate since I was on a month to month basis. Last March or so I got a call from Bounce that my contract was expiring and would I like to renew with a 2 year plan for long term savings. The one year plan had better rates at the time so I went with that deciding to risk the market. When I told the gentleman that today he said they had no record of that contact (as if that's a story anyone would make up) and he was sorry for the inconvenience but there was nothing that could be done. I knew my bills were higher this summer but we had record heat and I chalked up to that. I didn't even know they had a month to month plan which I would NEVER knowingly choose anyway.They've been good in every other respect but this is was their mistake and I paid for it. Going to have to go somewhere else.

Like I was saying. Bounce Energy is just "okay". Like don't get me wrong they're not all that bad, but they aren't all that great either. Everything is well until your plan is up. I had a 12 month plan and didn't notate when my plan was up and when the year went by I received no email or call no NOTHIN! I found out my plan was up with a $180 bill!!! I live by myself!! It is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Apparently they put me on a month to month plan without informing me. I called as soon as I realized what had happened and they did grant me a decent discount and updated my plan for me. The agent was courteous and understanding although I didn't get refunded the price different of what I had been paying for the past 3 months or so at the month to month rate. Bottom Line, if you are GREAT, FANTASTIC, AMAZING, at keeping track of your plans then go for it. But if you can avoid getting Bounce for any reason, go with someone else! I changed my plan to 6 months just to give them another shot, but I did it mainly out of convenience. There are better providers out there. And bounce is simply alright. OH, and their website is awful! Sometimes you can't even login and I rely a lot on paying my bill online, tough luck! Having said that, if you choose to go with bounce because of prices, then go with it, just be careful. Because ultimately you do what you gotta do regardless of service.

No statement received when plan was about to expire!!
I was offered a promotional cash back rebate if bill was paid on time for consecutive months but when the last month was coming up for me to receive the rebate, the company forgot to email me my statement. What a coincidence! And since I rely on the emails to stay on top of the billing, well that threw me off and it cost me the rebate. I wasn't to pleased with that! Oh well, live and learn!

I am using Bounce Energy for 2 months now. Moving from my earlier service provider is no issue. Got my $25 discount in first bill for signing Bounce Energy without calling or following them. In second month automatic bill got processed but i received mail that issue in payment so contact Help Desk. On contacting they said payment is processed it is just technical issue from there side. So in 2 months no issue. They have now $75 discount for new customer enrolling.

Good for 1 year then raised price
They were pretty good for the past year, then my renewal came and it was .01/kwh higher, 1 cent, and did not do anything to keep me - when I called to speak to someone about my renewal, they were not very helpful and said I could see my renewal prices online and that was it. No attempt to keep me. Their rewards program was pretty good, I did get rewards of $50 for 6 mth payment on time - it was a restaurant.com gift card. If they offered to keep my rate the same for another year, not even lower it, I would have stayed. But no such luck. I changed to Brilliant and will see how that goes for another year - if I have to change every year, which seems to be the pattern for the last 2 years, I will. Gexa did the same to me a year ago. It is a shame that no company will try to keep their customers by maintaining or even lowering their rate. It costs more more to get a new customer than to keep a current one - don't they know that?

Great and steady prices
I've been with Bounce for a couple months now and I really like it. I had reliant before and hated it. After a couple months of paying on time I got $50 off using this friends code.

I switched to bounce energy recently. Unlike other electricity provider, you can customize your own plan and they are cheapest of the lot with many lucrative offers. Online rate is different from what you get if your order over phone. If you are ordering for the service online, save the customized Electricity Facts Lebel (EFL) and make sure you are getting the same rate by calling the customer care. Because in my case they made a mistake and I had to email them the EFL. Also no auto payment information page appeared for me and they had to set it up manually.Nevertheless I got the promise that I would get the same rate what I customized for. Although my online account shows the corrected rate, the EFL is still not corrected. Also make sure to choose Bouncy energy rewards program because you start getting them from six months onwards. If you take 3% discount offer, thats going to happens form 12 months onwards. So if you are choosing for shorter time frame, go for bounce energy rewards. Customer care responds well to your complaints but probably their higher authorities take longer time to react as it happened in my case (no correction in EFL although online account shoeing corrected rate). Another important drawback they have, is, they do not give you your weekly usage. Overall its a cheapest one and they give lots of lucrative offers.

Looking good so far
Signed on with Bounce based on these few things: easy to use website, multiple billing options with no extra charge for using credit card w/ auto pay, and the per kwh rate seemed competitive.
Unorganized and Misleading
Great rates. Terrible customer service. They can't keep their records straight. In addition, they have tried to wiggle out of giving the companion airfare ticket 3 times. Just FYI, I've paid early every month for the 9 months I've been a customer. I recommend Bounce if you want low rates only. I recommend another company if you want low rates and good customer service and for promises to be kept.
Bounce Has Been Great
I signed up with Bounce about 2 months ago, just before summer started to heat up. The sign up process was easy, and within a week I had received notice from Bounce that I had been effectively signed up and added to their system. Since then, my bills have cut in half, and I've gotten regular notices from them about my due bills. Paying online has been easy. So far, so good.
Bounce Energy Review
Good company. I've had them for 6 months. I liked the Fresh Start program, no deposit. My bill dropped drastically, to half, after the 3rd month of payment on time . I would recommend. They got me power when everyone wanted a huge deposit.
So Far Pretty Good
I signed up for Bounce Energy and decided to take them up on their free flight deal. I got the card as promised and went to the web site. I needed to get 2 tickets to San Diego. So I checked the prices on the web site versus Expedia. They were about $100 less. So I booked them. Everything worked like a normal ticket. The thing I'd note is that I booked the tickets 2 months in advance. So, booking early is pretty important. When I tried to book tickets a week in advance of another trip the prices were less - but the departure times and return flight times were either really late or early.
Not A Well-Organized Company
I signed up for Bounce Energy when I was looking for a company that didn't require a deposit. The plan was meant to start out at .16.9/KWH, and after 3 months of paying on time it would go down to their lowest available rate (around .10/KWH). The first month I was automatically charged the same amount twice, and I had to call to request a refund. They took about 30 minutes to answer the phone, but they were kind to me and my money was refunded in 4 days. After paying 3 months on time I did not recieve a lower rate on my bill. When I called to find out why, they said that their system had me late on one bill - which I was not - and they fixed that error for me. Unfortunately, they said I still have to pay the amount on the bill - even though it is much higher than it supposed to be - and any extra charges will carry over as credit. Overall, their price is fair, no long term contract, and quick service connection - but they need to work a little on their customer service and billing.
Freebies
I just signed up with Bounce a couple of months ago - the price seems good and I really like that I get a free magazine. Sometimes it's hard to get through to their customer service, but my question did get answered quickly and easily once I got there. I've also seen that they've made their My Account better since I signed on- it's easier now for me to pay my bill online - which is cool since they give me a $5 bill credit when I do.
Recent 2 Star Reviews
Awful Choose someone else
I was a Bounce customer for over 7 years. When my contract ended they decided it would be a great time to "rape" me on the kwh rate. They increased it to over 17 per kwh. Plus kept changing my due date which had always been the 22nd and since I'm on paperless I didn't know so they would charge me a late fee for me paying a day late (which should have been my due date). Champion Energy has been great. You can even see your daily usage.
We are so sorry to have lost you as a customer! We did experience a large increase in prices this summer due to the demand on Electricity and several power plant closures. If your contract ended during this time, we can completely understand that you would be upset with the price increase. Great Electricity, Terrible on Promotion Accountability
I have enjoyed the pricing I have received from Bounce but I signed up for the AA miles promotions and they have only transferred my points to my AA account once....I've been with them 4 years and it has been a year since they made the first deposit in January of 2017. I have asked for them to transfer my remaining balance and every time they say oh there is a problem with the program we will have someone contact you. I think they just don't want to transfer the points. Judging from what others have said, they use the promotions to finish signing you up but then dont follow through with the promise. Beware of the promotions.

Be aware with their cash back scam
I signed up two years service. after 2 year I renew and they just post 0$/kwh. I switched to another company and asked them for the cash back reward. Won't send a Bill - Just Disconnect Notices - So Frustrating!
We have have been using Bounce Energy for about a year now and NOT ONCE have we received a Bill(Paper or Email). You will not receive your full reward from Bounce!
I just finished my Tremendous24 program and 3% cash back. Upon renewing, Bounce was not competitive and I have switched to another provided. I was on auto pay and paid all bills on time. I received my reward for the first 12 months, but Bounce stole my last 12 months. The fine print states you have to be an active customer (meaning I must have been a customer on month 25) to get your reward. They basically stole $100 from me. An experience like this make me glad I am no longer a customer.

Buyers Beware!
I have been a Bounce Energy customer for over 6 years. When I didn't immediately renew my plan with them this year, my rate increased by 60% for the month of JULY, probably the hottest time of the year. When I called, I was on hold for over 20 minutes after pressing the "existing customer" option. When i was disconnected, I entered "new customer" option and held for only 5 minutes. Obviously Bounce is not interested in taking care of their existing customers. I will not make the mistake of using Bounce Energy again. Found another provider at half the cost.

Very unhappy with customer service
Called to have electricity started on a certain date the lady I first talked to told me it would be fine because it was before 3 pm. Called back the next day to check and this lady didn't find any documentation of that, therefore have to wait and extra 4 days before turned on.

Hope you don't have to call them
Every time I call Bounce I have to wait 20 - 25 minutes to get a customer service representative. Then, if you are not interested in renewing they have no interest in answering any questions, but only to tell you not to believe the rates their competitors are offering.

Horrible Company
Their prices kept going up. I have never paid nearly $400 for a 1 300 sq ft apt. They are a rip off. They also never gave us our signing bonus that was promised for signing up with them. So be away! Will be leaving them after my contact. Thank God!

Not happy
I'm a truck driver and i'm gone for weeks at a time. When i get home i get my bills and pay them. This time i get home and i have a disconnect letter ... Ok ... I call Bounce and try to get a ONE day extension for when i get paid. They were quick to say no and it's not allowed anymore. I've been with them for over 2 years... I feel like my loyalty is not worth jack squat to them. I will be looking for a new company on payday. Thanks Bounce for understanding your customers needs and situations. Good Bye

Extra deposit being charged after 12 months of service
Bounce is a good company. (As far as my monthly bills are concerned!) However, its time to renew my plan and after a year of loyalty I was told by the rep that there's a $100 deposit required to renew my service. Never have I been with any company and they required me to pay an additional deposit. I do not believe they value their customers as they should. Don't get me wrong the $100 deposit isn't the issue. The issue is the treatment of loyalty and being committed to a company that doesn't hold the same loyalty and commitment to you! I honestly believe this is illegal and I'm looking into it. Has anyone else had this happen to then as well?

Waste of time
I was excited to get the Thrifty Saver Promotional! Shortly after ordering and before move-in, my apartment decided to switch rooms due to renovations. I called Bounce Energy to change the apartment number and was on the phone for my entire 75minute lunch break which got me three "transferred" (I was dropped each time) calls. Frustrated, I called back the next day to be dropped again and placed on two ten minute holds...only to find out that if I wanted to change my apartment number I'd have to order a new service because the one I'd signed up for was no longer available at the same price. Fed up; I ended up cancelling all services. The women I spoke to were all very nice; however, seemed very confused with every question I posed - could've told me the issue in less than ten minutes.
Billing
Just started our new relationship 10/13 with bounce energy. I must say that for two people that are away from home Monday through Saturday 160 or 171 a month. My electric bills are super high regardless of the low locked rate of 8.7 not to mention the ONCOR fees are terrible. My neighbors electric bills when compared they have a higher rate and are a family of 5 and and there is always some there using up electricity and there bills range 80 to 120 a month and no where in there bill do I see an oncor fee.

Big Bounce
Signed up for the Bounce "Teriffic 12" . It was fine for the term although all I ever got was a set of movie ticket awards. I'd hardly call the trade off a "reward" so I turned around and signed up for the airline miles but it really hasn't been building. I have more on my own from work. As the 12-month plan ended I went online to look at my options but ended up renewing to save the hastle for a few cent's more only my statements became out of control. Upon review it was discovred there was a "glitch" that locked my rate online but not in billing. I was able to prove confirmation of the rate lock and obtain a few refunds. However, I wonder how many other customers they took advantage with the same system "glitch" and if the TX Attorny General knows about these "overbilling issues" to their advantage. After the 2nd term expired I tried to reach someone for a decent rate but they didn't want to offer me a plan and no one ever returned my emails. For this, I recognize how unimportant I am to them as a customer. I'm taking my buisness somewhere else. If you try them for a short period, be sure you find a new carrier before your term ends and RUN!!. I have a small 2 bdrm apt. I rarely use my A/C or heat in Spring or Fall. The A/C is kept at 80-85 degrees or higher in summer. Nor do I cook a lot or drain the small hotwater heater. None-the-less, my already crazy electric bill was $155 last month (jJuly'13) and $314 for this one ( Aug'13). Yes, it more than doubled! There's no other way to describe the current situaton except for "highway robbery"! The statement indicates my existing rate is ~now a "Super Saver" @ 11.8 cents/k/Wh but that my "average price pd" = ~15.5 cents k/Wh. Not sure about you but that doesn't sound "super" or a "saver". It means my rates actually did nearly double. Ouch!
Management Change? Billing farce
I used to be very happy with Bounce Energy; reasonable rates and the occasional promotion BUT I suspect there was a management change late it 2011 and some financial VP has sought ways to cut costs and push up profit. Because they only accept electronic fund transfers from two banks my online checking (Ing now Capital One 360) has to send paper checks. This worked fine until early 2012 when checks that had been posted after 5 to 8 days started to take 30 days and even 45 days. I was, and still am, convinced that they cut back on accounts receivable staff or deliberately held checks to get late or disconnect fees. I always paid on-line the day I was notified a bill was available and never waited for the paper bill but when I got a warning my bill was due and unpaid had to call three times with a credit card. Then things went back to normal it seemed but it was worse. A few months later I had a disconnect warning and when I called was told they had stopping sending the COURTESY emails. Now I just send them a big chunk of money before the bill is due, after paying last month I still have an $82. Anyone who doubts this can have proof of date checks issued and date cashed, I even wrote to the TDJ who I assume don't care about consumer ripoff if it's hard to prove they hold checks.
Dennis- Apologies for your frustrations. Let me clear up a few things. 1) We haven't had any turnover in our management in that timeframe, nor do we make decisions on profitability that adversely affect customers paying their bill on-time. 2) In fact, we've added more options for customers to pay their bills including ACH and Pick Your Own Due Date. 3) Bill payment through bank checks can be very inconsistent. Your bank or financial institution can take several days to actually print and mail your check even though they've debited your account. Add to that the amount of time for US Post Office delivery, which has reduced staff and days. Our policy is that ALL checks received to our PO Box are deposited and applied to the accounts within 24 hours or the next business day if a weekend. 3) We have not stopped sending courtesy emails. If you are not receiving them anymore, please make sure to add bounceenergy.com as an approved sender in your email client. We also don't have a record of anyone with your name as a customer. Missing checks
I like the price of Bounce Energy but worry they have Enron like executives. I pay my bill from an on-line bank the day I am notified a payment is due and days before the mailed bill arrives. However two months in a row, and three times in total, my check has supposidly not arrived and unless I phoned in a credit card payment, I would have had late fees. As they do not accept electronic transfer from most banks, there is no proof when a payment is received. As every other payment from my bank goes through, I think they lose or delay checks to collect late fees.
Tired of holding for customer service
So tired of waiting for customer service as once they have your service they will
not allow you to talk to anyone. Currently on hold for over 22 minutes....this is
unexceptable.
No disconnect notice
Because I usually pay online and our server was
down, I tried - in vain - over and over to pay
my bill by phone. Everytime I would enter my
account number, the electronic voice would
repeat it incorrectly. I spent 15 minutes
retrying it. The next day, I again tried with
the same result, but finally thought my payment
went through. My payment was not late.
A week later, our lights suddenly went out at 7
a.m. I had absolutely no disconnect notice or
any other notice. When I tried to find out
what happened, I was informed that "Bounce
Energy is open from 8 - 5, Monday through
Friday." So much for customer service!!!
Worst Ever. 100% SCAM. Beware!!!
Realized that I had been paying for supposed disconnection orders (an additional $65 per bill) from three months prior to the billing date. I haven't had my service disconnected! It was a small line on the back of the bill that I finally noticed. Customer service = HORRIBLE! To resolve the issue took at least an on the phone and then they acted as if they were doing ME a favor to resolve their mistake!

Worst customer service ever. I am not sure if it is a training issue or attitude problem. Once my contract is up, we will not renew. Most of our neighbors also are under contract and sad to say we are all not renewing!

They consistently mismanaged my account and when I would call to deal with the different issues, I had to explain the issues to approx. 4 people with often not receiving any resolution. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and their operators and smug and curt. I wholeheartedly do not recommend this company.
Bounce offer no customer service
I have been a customer of Bounce for almost a year. It has been a terrible experience. Long waits on the telephone,no action available on the net.All I ever receive is an apology, the the problem remains or changes to something new.
Horrible Company To Deal With
Simply stay away from this awful company. The customer service is a nightmare, they make you wait on hold for an hour at a time, will not give a straight answer to your questions, etc etc etc. They overcharged me one month and after spending about six hours on the phone dealing with them I was told repeatedly that "The bill has been generated and I must pay It-No options".They gave me a credit the next month but refused to listen to me try to tell them THIER mistake was putting me in financial hardship.I can not stress how HORRIBLE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS-STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Had alot of problems with Bounce. One is you never can get through to them on the phone, I have spent hours of cell minutes trying to straighten out problems with them. I moved out of an apartment on the 5th and notified them of the 6th to shut off the electric there and start it at the new place. On the 17th I found out they never sent it to the right dept so I reordered on the 14th.It would be on on the 17th at new place and when I was talking with them again about another issue they said no it says it won't be on until the 20th at the new location. On the 28th the landlord cut off the old electric and believe it or not mine was not on---well it was but they turned it on for the house across the street!! I had $200.00 worth of food going bad in frig. They did put it through as same day service which is suppose to be $125 charge.They technically had until midnight to turn it on so I had to run and buy a bunch of ice to keep everything good. Horrible --Simply Horrible

I used to have the best price. Bounce did not charge the Oncor fee in addition to the KW charge. That is why they were so cheap. My contract expired and they told me the fixed fee was the same as the variable. They have DOUBLED MY BILL. My electric bill is now $360!! They will not fix it, so I am switching to direct energy today.

Bait and switch - watch your bill
No concern for customer service. Bounce energy has no problem putting you into a contract but when you ask questions about it or why your bill will exceed over a 65% increase once it expires they simply say they dont care and its not their problem.

Full of surprises
Has been with bounce energy for over 5 years. The more you stay, the more the company will bite. What is worse, what made me leave, It is what they call " delivery and maintenance " fee! sometimes It was equal to the actual usage fee. I wonder if they were doing maintenance on my address monthly. As you sign up, be sure you ask about that.

The Transmission and Distribution Utility, which is responsible for the maintenance and repair of any power lines or your Electricity meter, do charge customers for those things each month. Generally, it's a monthly fee plus a per usage fee. Especially this last winter, we had many customers use much more energy than they anticipated, which would lead to a higher TDU charge. Just switched away from Bounce
I was with Bounce energy for a total of 4 years. The first year I was pleased with the service since I got a decent rate, had no billing problems, and got a weekly email with my usage and projected costs. I liked their airline rewards program, refer-a-friend program, match-the-rate discount program, and $25-$75 sign up/renewal bonus offers. My only complaint the first year was that they promised me a 1-for-1 mile per dollar airline rate with no cap deposited in my AAdvantage account every month and instead ended up only giving me 1 for 1 up to $200 per month deposited every 3 months. Overall the price was reasonable so I signed up for another year.That year I got a lot of refer-a-friend discounts so even though my rate was much worse the cost I ended up paying for electricity was very good so I renewed for a third term this time for 2 years to get a better rate. Once I was signed up long-term the problems began.First the weekly emails became less reliable and more sporadic. Then Bounce kept messing with their website and the plan I agreed to was not the plan they ended up using to bill me. I was supposed to have a base rate based on my usage and instead they charged me a flat base rate. I think that ended up averaging out to about the same rate but no matter how many times I called them to correct the discrepancies between what I ordered and what they had listed on the website and what they were billing me for they would not do anything about it. Also they did not give my any more refer-a-friend credits or the promised renewal bonus. Then they stopped depositing any airline miles in my AA account entirely. I tried calling but the representatives couldn't help me because that was "another department's responsibility". I had this issue escalated and was told a supervisor would call me back and deposit the missing miles that were accumulating. They didn't call me back the first 2 times they said they would. The third time I finally got a call they only deposited like 280 of the 1500 they owed me. When all was said and done they shorted me approximately 500 miles which I gave up fighting for but I am still upset over since their own website which I had pictures of and used to provide proof was not enough to get them to honor their promises. (I've been told they are trying to discontinue this reward program entirely in the near future since they can't get miles to give any customers not just me but I only found out after speaking directly to the rewards program director and no notice has been given to any other customers yet despite no one getting rewards this year).The worst part of the third contract and the main reason I left however was that towards the end of my contract they started moving my due date around which kept making me late paying my bill. The first 3 and a half years I never had one late payment but then 3 months in a row I missed the cutoff by something like an hour because I would make a note on my calendar to pay it 2 days earlier and the next month my due date would magically be 3 days earlier or some such bs. They added 5% to my bill every time this happened even if I was only 5 minutes past their arbitrary cutoff time. That adds up fast. At this point I was beyond ready to switch providers so I waited til my contract was supposed to be up on Dec 9 since I had originally renewed the plan on Dec 9 but instead they wouldn't let me out of the contract until Jan 9 so they effectively stole a month of choice from me. This is unacceptable. I probably should file a complaint with some authority for that but truth be told I am just so happy to be no longer with Bounce I don't want to waste my time dealing with electric nightmares anymore. Things started off well but I think my experience is not untypical. When I first signed up with Bounce they had 4 star average reviews but when I left only 2 stars. I think that is an accurate representation of how they used to be better and have since gone straight downhill. Use at your own risk.

Liars
I called to cancel.my service during the Harvey. The representative told me, my service will automatically cancelled from the apartment after I move out in October the 5. I moved into another apartment yet was still charged for the previous apartment for October, then November. I paid for the first week of November 106, but received another for November 11. 9.46. This was after I spoke again to a representative about the 106 dollars and she told.me my account will be cancelled and the 106 will be my lastbil. But how do you charge a bill for an apartment which has already been rented by another resident with a different electric plan? How can i charge for two ful month, for an apartment i moved out. For an electric service i cancelled too

Their "rewards" are a gimmick.
I enrolled in their cashback rewards program, but never received the promised rewards. They cite a clause in the fine print "You are deemed a customer in good standing as determined in our sole discretion" to say that I'm not eligible for rewards since I'm switching to another company next month, even though I met all the criteria.
They advertise that you can cash in the rewards after 12 months, which is the term of the contract, but in reality it takes anywhere from 15-17 months. The rewards don't start until 30 days after your first bill, then the rewards aren't applied until 2 billing cycles after you qualify. So you either have to let your contract lapse and pay an astronomical rate, or renew your contract with them, since they will "not apply the rewards to your final bill." This is just a scheme to lock in customers. You can't actually get the rewards until after you've renewed your contract or let it lapse and pay high rates which way out balance the rewards.
So I left and went with a reputable company with a better rate and no gimmicks to lock me in at the end of my contract.

Pretty good rates if you can tolerate unsatisfactory customer service
I will say from the beginning my situation is unusual in that my property has two services, one for the home and a separate one for guard lights. It took many months of communication with customer service, supervisors, and even a letter to the company president before they were able to (a) realize I had two services, (b) put them together in one account so I would receive only one bill. Their email notifications of bills still do not add both amounts together for the correct bill amount, and they are unable to make both service plans end on the same date, making me choose new plans twice instead of once.

Cheating their customers with some promotions
Bounce energy puts some promotions and lower bills first three months but after that they put lots of extra fees even if you have lowest rate per kwh. I also bad experience with 3 months fixed plan. I did not renew for new fixed rate and I left bounce energy. They charged me $135 early termination fee. The last thing I hate Bounce energy they charged me late fee around $3 and disconnect notice $20 even if I set up autopayment. Something was wrong their system but they charged me these extra fees. They are just finding reason to charge. This company put lots of referral and promotion awards but they took all of them in 3-4 months from you.

Horrible Customer Service
I defaulted so they say on my payment arrangement I can't be granted another arrangement for 90 days. I am a low income mother with 4 kids in Texas. The arrangement was for 2weeks out from June 19th which is July 3rd. Now they're saying the 1st which is 2 days and I've never defaulted on arrangement before. One mistake and be in the dark is what they say. I have been with them for 6 years just change my plan to a contract after 6 years and put on balance billing to help. I guess now since I'm locked in a contract they mistreat me

Failure to communicate and disconnection 2 weeks after due date
After having been a customer for over a year, and using the autopay option, I was not notified that the autopay had any issues. When I called in to Bounce, the girl could not even tell me what was wrong with the Autopay. In spite of the fact that I had also selected paperless billing, I received no email telling me that I was going to be disconnected until the minute that I was disconnected....which I should mention was 2 weeks after the due date - and the previous month was paid - not dilinquent. The customer service agent told me that they mail the disconnect notice - not email....although they do email you a notice at the same time that it is being disconnected. I received all other emails telling me that my December bill could be viewed - with no indication that there was any problem with the service. I also received a the regular usage summary. But NO disconnect notice. This is ludicrous. I should also mention that this occurred the day before the Thanksgiving break. I am told that it may be 24 hours before it is turned back on. 2 things: 1) It is ridiculous for them to have a policy to disconnect 2 weeks after due date, and 2) it is absurd that if you select paperless billing, that they do not send a disconnect notice until the exact day of disconnection - in my case it came through immediately as the power went off. It is worth it to me to pay the fee for canceling my contract and go with a different company, and continue to divert all of my contacts to alternate energy carriers.

Not honest company. Reward program is a joke. Referral program is a joke.
They are kind of terrible service company. I've been with them for 3 years. When I referred my friend, they doubled my bill than the usual charge. When I asked them why? They explained that I have a monthly plan and that is the price of the market. But my friend was the same and she got much lower rate than me. When I told them about my friend rate, they said this is your rate and you cannot compare with the others. Then I canceled my account after 2 months. Later I found they did not give me the referral. They said because I canceled my account. But I canceled the account 2 months after my friend paid her bill. Don't go with this company. They do not have good service and customer service. The people over there are so rude. They do not take care of you. They are the worst I saw in Houston so far.

Rewards plan is a joke
I am waiting on my 24 month reward which is $100, and I am on month 27! I call and am always placed on hold, which is code for, we are going to give you the run-around.I signed up for paperless billing, no $5. Did their home survey, no $5. Another reward was a gift card, did not get it, got less than the gift card amount taken off my bill. Soon I will be able to switch companies, and I am going to!!!!!!!!!!!

I would definitely NOT recommend Bounce. I ordered service to be turned on 3 days prior to moving into my new residence. I go to move in, auto garage door doesn't open. I walk in and find the electricity is not on! This is at 5:30 on a Friday night. I was on the phone for over an hour to get the service on. At that point I was already locked into their contract.Every time I call there is either an unacceptable length of a wait time or I get a message that Bounce is experiencing "technical difficulties" and I cannot get through to anyone. When I do actually get through I find the reps are untrained, unprofessional and cannot answer my questions. Chat reps have shut me down when when they can't answer my questions.The rewards program is a joke. a total farce. I chose a gift card once and did not receive it after 2 months. When I called about it I was told they "ran out" of gift cards. They offered an Amazon coupon through MPell Solutions which was not honored by Amazon. Their service is so bad I am reporting them to the BBB. I can't wait till my contract with them is finished.

Just don't use Bounce
I am locked in for another year, I have no choice. They tell you these stories about all the gift cards you will get for just paying your bill on time. I pay my bill on time but I will take a reward for it....except these rewards are bogus. I got the first gift card for $15 to Amazon. Tried to use it, it was used. Talked to an EXTREMELY rude representative. I finally told her just don't tell me any more crap about a gift card, just listening to her yammer gave me a headache! Just go for a company that offers low rates, don't be sucked in as I was with the offer of free stuff. Like you Mom said....nothing is free and Bounce certainly is not.

We have been a customer for over 5 years and I have contacted them 3 times with regard to the same issue and got 3 different answers and finally am giving up.
Bounce made an already difficult situation even worse, and therefore lost a long time customer who will make sure everyone she talks about the poor business practices and bad customer service!

Worst Bill and Customer Service of any utility I have dealt with
Horrible customer service, cannot get service dates right, transfer service correctly and anytime they pull up your account information, check your automatic payment setup because they will have screwed it up, 3 times and counting. Very rude agents and guarantee you will have to make 2 calls to get them to do any requests.

Contract
I was with another company that merged with bounce. After speaking with my previous company I was told I could maintain my current contract that had another year remaining. I recieved and email acknowledging my order with bounce which I did not initiate. I wanted to maintain my contract as I was told I could because I had locked in a good rate and we plan on moving in the near future so it just made sense. After calling to find out what my new contract was I found out my rate was increased from 7.1755 cents per kWh to 8.5. I do not think its right that I was switched over to a new company without discussing terms or that my rate was increased when I had a contract. As a consumer we are penalized for breaking or contract so why is it ok for the company to break my contract and raise my rates. I am very dissatisfied with this whole process and will be looking for a new electricity provider.

Not Recommended
Was charged a $300 early termination fee on my close-out bill, even though the contract states that there is no early termination fee if you move, and that you provide Bounce with your forwarding address. I did exactly what was asked and they still charged me.

REALLY BAD ENERGY COMPANY!! STAY AWAY!!
I am a customer since 2009 and had a good experience. The company changed, they keep changing there policy contract to get more money from you. They give a lower rate but at the end you pay more as they charge high disconnection fees for being late just hours and others. They used to give a fair 3 day late notice to charge per contract, but now, is just after being late for hours. Please check your bill carefully and will see how you finish paying much higher rates due to hidden charges. Called customer service and they told me they can "adjust" the contract as they see fit". Recommend to stay away from Bounce as they are not transparent with you.

Customer Service
Contacted these people because one of my tenants were using them and the power was already in the home. I work out with them to continue the service, create me and account and just forward the bill to my home address. Easy Right......Nope. These people turn the power off right in the middle of a major cleaning job. Then they tell me to contact some other company call Oncor because I might have a "power outage" in the area. .... wrong.....They created the power outage on just my home. On top of that I had to wait for a customer service rep to get on line for over an hour. You can use this company if you like .....but I would highly not recommend it !!!

Bewarned!
I've never dealt with a company like this before. I pay all my bills electronically & submit payment a few days before due date. Bounce showed they constantly got payments late (no one else did). They suggested I submit payment weeks earlier than due date & I suggested they change their due date. They cut power for a $44.00, 1 mouth payment because they hadn't received it so I had to pay again just to get power turned back on. They charged me $25.00 for cutting it off, $25 to turn it on! Tried to get breakdown of costs since I'd paid 1 bill, 2 times. Was on hold for over 2 hrs, no one ever picked up. Sent 3 emails with no replies. But I DID get a letter telling me it was time to renew my contract. At least they have a sense of humor. Can't get away from them fast enough.

Customer service experience
I have a previous address and two current addresses with Bounce. You can get on line fast to place a service order but I just waited over 32 minutes between 11 am and noon and was still on hold. Tried the Chat and no one "was there", I should "try later". They also put the burden on the customer to apply for their rewards, and in my experience, their agent does not handle the reward requests. I would love to have a manager call me. I am a management consultant/trainer. My professional assessment - this is not the way to do it.

Bounce Energy used Switch and Bait tactics to sign me up for service at a low rate, and then changed the rate up without my knowledge by sending an email that "forced" me to make the choice and gave no options.Their customer service may be better skilled for the army, than for a client service environment. The moment you connect with them they go on the attack. Even their managers, when I escalate to them, they hung up the phone in my face.I already cancelled my service with them, even if they are threatening a penalty, but I would like others to know so maybe they are spared this stress.

Bounce Energy plants reviews from makebelieve consumers
I believe that Bounce Energy is planting reviews from fictitious customers, something most other companies are not doing. The reviews that specify a promo code and are extremely glowing are almost certainly being planted. Other sources have complained about Bounce Energy's failure to honor special deals. My bad experience deals with something else. Misleading advertising which some other companies are also guilty of. There was a huge problem with Bounce Energy failing to send paperwork that contained necessary disclosures. Bounce Energy refused to honor an email that specifically said I had 3 business days from the date of receiving documents in the mail to cancel without penalty. I saw another website elsewhere that was so heavily stacked with glowing reviews for Bounce Energy, I knew it either had to be cherrypicked or planted and bogus.

Customer Service sucks
Customer Service sucks. When I called to the customer service, the agent on the other side was not even capable of looking up my account, and asked me" are you sure you are with Bounce Energy"? When I changed my address, she kept taking the wrong house number, and was not even bothered to check the house number with me. When I asked her to repeat the number to me, she said "Oh I already submitted it", and it turned out that she had the wrong house number. Save yourself, and don't choose Bounce Energy.

Awful Customer Service
After waiting an initial 10 minutes to speak to a rep., I was put on hold for 10+ minutes of silence. When I questioned what the rep was telling me, I was put on hold again, this time with music, for 30+ minutes without ever hearing anything other than an automated recording and music. This is currently happen on Tuesday March 10, 2015 and as of 4:50 PM and am still waiting for someone to address my concern.

Anyways after being a loyal customer- paying close to 300 a month for 18 month the bill more than doubled- to $626- for a 2 bedroom, one bathroom with 2 people?!?
When I called to tell them something was wrong they tried to make it look like it was normal to have that big of an electricity bill and even I stayed calm (because I wont pay- luckily there wasnt enough money in my account when they tried to take (steal) it so will change my debit card). they got very defensive which made it even more clear that something was wrong with that price. No explanation nothing just someone that seemed slow and detached...
Well I switched to a different company and now pay $150 a month. They billed me for the half of the month until I switched another $450 I am refusing to pay!
It's absolutely rediclueles- the 2 largest electricity bills I received my whole life in the winter 2 month in a row... I guess they jacked up the rates. They need to because their customers are running away fast. I noticed that most of the reviews are negative besides the one with the promo code. Do I need to say more?!

Promise the Rewards BUT you never get them
On 1/7/2015, I was told I had made the 6 payments on time and should receive my $ 50.00 "GIFT CARD WITHIN 4-6 WEEKS". On 2/12, spoke with Victoria, she said "You should receive GIFT CARD ANY DAY NOW". 2/23/15, called and customer service said "NO YOU DON'T RECEIVE AN ACTUAL GIFT CARD. WE WILL SEND YOU THE CODE FOR A FREE $ 50.00 GIFT CARD". I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said there is not one and "YOU DON'T NEED TO TALK TO ANYONE BUT ME". So, On 1/7/15-I had made the 6 payments on time & was told 4-6 weeks for $ 50.00 gift card. GUESS WHAT? 3/2/15-NO GIFT CARD, NO CODE FOR A GIFT CARD. Bounce provides pretty good service but when you are promised a reward for paying on time, it is ALL A LIE. The Customer Service is very very rude and you can expect to get hung on many times. RELIANT IS MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE AND SAME RATE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE EXCEPT FOR "BOUNCE ENERGY".

Bonus not received
I signed up with Bounce Energy a year ago and agreed to have my monthly billing charged to my credit card. Therefore all timely payments. The plan included receiving a $50 restaurant gift card after 6 months of timely payments and a $50 Visa gift card after 12 months. They will not contact you when you have earned these rewards. I forgot about the $50 restaurant earned last August and contacted them three weeks ago and I was told it would take three weeks beforing hearing from them in reference to this award. The monthly base pay of $9.95 is too high and for that reason I found another energy company that has no monthly base pay charges and lower rates. I switched to this company earlier this month. I called Bounce Energy for my $50 Visa card reward and they told me because I switched to another company they would not issue it. This was not part of the agreement of signing up. I would never give them my business again and I don't recommend this company for energy.

STAY AWAY with Bounce Energy !!!!!!!
We signed up with Bounce for 6.9 cents per KWH. But, our monthly bills have been high compared to our old service provider Reliant Energy. Hidden fees were not told up front at all. We are actually paying 13 cents per KWH instead of 6.9 cents. Account manger never returned our call in this matter. For now, we are stucked until the end of our contract :(

Customer service
Customer service is terrible, when we sold our house in dallas . Bounce sent the final bill to an unknown address,so I never received the bill. So they sent it off to a collection agency without any follow up. I have paid the bill and found out that they took the info down wrong, stating that it was their fault,but they don't care and will not send me a letter stating that. They won't return calls, they lie and say they can not send out a letter like that.!!!!! They just lie and say that has to come from corp but wont connect me to anyone at corp. They also had two other ways to get hold of me after they got the bill returned for wrong address, phone and email are both correct. But they say that after you close your account they don't use those anymore.I would call that BS,use another company.

Poor Customer Service
I originally signed up for Bounce under a 6 moth plan, so I could test the waters and see how I felt about them. They offered a pretty low rate, so I decided to go for it. 6 months came and went, and my contract period with them expired. I had not experienced any problems with them, so I decided to renew, but my rates were *significantly* higher for the renewal. I decided to sign up for a year contract anyway, since I was already established with them.My biggest complaint with Bounce is that they have very poor customer support. They are a "take or leave it" sort of operation, similar to the utility providers with which we have no other option to use, like the water company. Bounce does not really focus on customer service at all. Electricity providers have competition here in Texas due to deregulation of the electric market, and there are quite a few energy providers one can choose from. You would think Bounce would offer more support for their customers, since we can choose our own provider, but Bounce does no such thing. They do not offer payment extensions, live chat support, or a decent average billing program. Their website is clunky, and archaic. Do not bother e-mailing them for support, because they will never respond to you. I have sent countless emails to which I have never received one reply. Once my year with Bounce is up, I am done with their company forever.

Stealing People's money
I got this company because I was told by my apartment complex to get them. I was 19 when I moved into my apartments and got this energy company. I am YOUNG, but NOT STUPID. After being with this company for a few months, I received a notice from my bank that I had $100 in NSF fees. I knew I should have plenty money in my account. When I contacted my bank they said that Bounce Energy took a payment twice, which cause several other transactions to be "insufficient Funds". I told my bank they should not have done that. I called Bounce and they didn't even apologize. All they did was ask if I wanted to leave it on there as a credit. I told them no because they never should have taken the payment twice. They said they would credit my account. Fortunately for them, my bank had already told me that they saw where this was the energy company's fault and refunded the NSF fees back to my account. They are SO lucky that I have an understanding bank.

Hours on the phone
Everything was alright till I moved out of my apt. and wanted to take the service off my name! I spend about 4 hours (in different days) till I get to talk to a costumer rep.. I took it off my name, they charged me and a few days later charged me again for the bill and I had to go through HOUUURRRSSS of waiting to talk to a costumer service again!

I've used multiple companies over the years and my experience with Bounce Energy has been nothing but exceptional. I've never had any issues with my service or billing and their customer service is always excellent! We are customers for life!
Awful Choose someone else
I was a Bounce customer for over 7 years. When my contract ended they decided it would be a great time to "rape" me on the kwh rate. They increased it to over 17 per kwh. Plus kept changing my due date which had always been the 22nd and since I'm on paperless I didn't know so they would charge me a late fee for me paying a day late (which should have been my due date). Champion Energy has been great. You can even see your daily usage.
We are so sorry to have lost you as a customer! We did experience a large increase in prices this summer due to the demand on Electricity and several power plant closures. If your contract ended during this time, we can completely understand that you would be upset with the price increase. Prices have doubled since May 2018
I used to have the best price. Bounce did not charge the Oncor fee in addition to the KW charge. That is why they were so cheap. My contract expired and they told me the fixed fee was the same as the variable. They have DOUBLED MY BILL. My electric bill is now $360!! They will not fix it, so I am switching to direct energy today.

Bait and switch - watch your bill
No concern for customer service. Bounce energy has no problem putting you into a contract but when you ask questions about it or why your bill will exceed over a 65% increase once it expires they simply say they dont care and its not their problem.

Full of surprises
Has been with bounce energy for over 5 years. The more you stay, the more the company will bite. What is worse, what made me leave, It is what they call " delivery and maintenance " fee! sometimes It was equal to the actual usage fee. I wonder if they were doing maintenance on my address monthly. As you sign up, be sure you ask about that.

Great Electricity, Terrible on Promotion Accountability
I have enjoyed the pricing I have received from Bounce but I signed up for the AA miles promotions and they have only transferred my points to my AA account once....I've been with them 4 years and it has been a year since they made the first deposit in January of 2017. I have asked for them to transfer my remaining balance and every time they say oh there is a problem with the program we will have someone contact you. I think they just don't want to transfer the points. Judging from what others have said, they use the promotions to finish signing you up but then dont follow through with the promise. Beware of the promotions.

Great Electricity Provider
Its very good electric company and I have been using since 3 years without any problem. After switching to this provider my bill almost reduced to half. Also they have very good reward program and gives you cash back of $50 , $25 etc on time to time like for 3 or 6 months or if autopay chosen. Their rates are decent and didn't get any problems so far and it is very easy to switch to Bounce Energy.

Just switched away from Bounce
I was with Bounce energy for a total of 4 years. The first year I was pleased with the service since I got a decent rate, had no billing problems, and got a weekly email with my usage and projected costs. I liked their airline rewards program, refer-a-friend program, match-the-rate discount program, and $25-$75 sign up/renewal bonus offers. My only complaint the first year was that they promised me a 1-for-1 mile per dollar airline rate with no cap deposited in my AAdvantage account every month and instead ended up only giving me 1 for 1 up to $200 per month deposited every 3 months. Overall the price was reasonable so I signed up for another year.That year I got a lot of refer-a-friend discounts so even though my rate was much worse the cost I ended up paying for electricity was very good so I renewed for a third term this time for 2 years to get a better rate. Once I was signed up long-term the problems began.First the weekly emails became less reliable and more sporadic. Then Bounce kept messing with their website and the plan I agreed to was not the plan they ended up using to bill me. I was supposed to have a base rate based on my usage and instead they charged me a flat base rate. I think that ended up averaging out to about the same rate but no matter how many times I called them to correct the discrepancies between what I ordered and what they had listed on the website and what they were billing me for they would not do anything about it. Also they did not give my any more refer-a-friend credits or the promised renewal bonus. Then they stopped depositing any airline miles in my AA account entirely. I tried calling but the representatives couldn't help me because that was "another department's responsibility". I had this issue escalated and was told a supervisor would call me back and deposit the missing miles that were accumulating. They didn't call me back the first 2 times they said they would. The third time I finally got a call they only deposited like 280 of the 1500 they owed me. When all was said and done they shorted me approximately 500 miles which I gave up fighting for but I am still upset over since their own website which I had pictures of and used to provide proof was not enough to get them to honor their promises. (I've been told they are trying to discontinue this reward program entirely in the near future since they can't get miles to give any customers not just me but I only found out after speaking directly to the rewards program director and no notice has been given to any other customers yet despite no one getting rewards this year).The worst part of the third contract and the main reason I left however was that towards the end of my contract they started moving my due date around which kept making me late paying my bill. The first 3 and a half years I never had one late payment but then 3 months in a row I missed the cutoff by something like an hour because I would make a note on my calendar to pay it 2 days earlier and the next month my due date would magically be 3 days earlier or some such bs. They added 5% to my bill every time this happened even if I was only 5 minutes past their arbitrary cutoff time. That adds up fast. At this point I was beyond ready to switch providers so I waited til my contract was supposed to be up on Dec 9 since I had originally renewed the plan on Dec 9 but instead they wouldn't let me out of the contract until Jan 9 so they effectively stole a month of choice from me. This is unacceptable. I probably should file a complaint with some authority for that but truth be told I am just so happy to be no longer with Bounce I don't want to waste my time dealing with electric nightmares anymore. Things started off well but I think my experience is not untypical. When I first signed up with Bounce they had 4 star average reviews but when I left only 2 stars. I think that is an accurate representation of how they used to be better and have since gone straight downhill. Use at your own risk.

Liars
I called to cancel.my service during the Harvey. The representative told me, my service will automatically cancelled from the apartment after I move out in October the 5. I moved into another apartment yet was still charged for the previous apartment for October, then November. I paid for the first week of November 106, but received another for November 11. 9.46. This was after I spoke again to a representative about the 106 dollars and she told.me my account will be cancelled and the 106 will be my lastbil. But how do you charge a bill for an apartment which has already been rented by another resident with a different electric plan? How can i charge for two ful month, for an apartment i moved out. For an electric service i cancelled too

Be aware with their cash back scam
I signed up two years service. after 2 year I renew and they just post 0$/kwh. I switched to another company and asked them for the cash back reward. Won't send a Bill - Just Disconnect Notices - So Frustrating!
We have have been using Bounce Energy for about a year now and NOT ONCE have we received a Bill(Paper or Email). However, we will receive a disconnect notice via US Postal and we will receive a Survey" email from them. We have made multiple calls to them trying to resolve this issue - Incredibly Frustrating!

6 months paying market rate
Called them today to verify my bill and was informed that I was paying market rate since I was on a month to month basis. Last March or so I got a call from Bounce that my contract was expiring and would I like to renew with a 2 year plan for long term savings. The one year plan had better rates at the time so I went with that deciding to risk the market. When I told the gentleman that today he said they had no record of that contact (as if that's a story anyone would make up) and he was sorry for the inconvenience but there was nothing that could be done. I knew my bills were higher this summer but we had record heat and I chalked up to that. I didn't even know they had a month to month plan which I would NEVER knowingly choose anyway.They've been good in every other respect but this is was their mistake and I paid for it. Going to have to go somewhere else.

Their "rewards" are a gimmick.
I enrolled in their cashback rewards program, but never received the promised rewards. They cite a clause in the fine print "You are deemed a customer in good standing as determined in our sole discretion" to say that I'm not eligible for rewards since I'm switching to another company next month, even though I met all the criteria.
They advertise that you can cash in the rewards after 12 months, which is the term of the contract, but in reality it takes anywhere from 15-17 months. The rewards don't start until 30 days after your first bill, then the rewards aren't applied until 2 billing cycles after you qualify. So you either have to let your contract lapse and pay an astronomical rate, or renew your contract with them, since they will "not apply the rewards to your final bill." This is just a scheme to lock in customers. You can't actually get the rewards until after you've renewed your contract or let it lapse and pay high rates which way out balance the rewards.
So I left and went with a reputable company with a better rate and no gimmicks to lock me in at the end of my contract.

Long time Bounce Energy Customer

Pretty good rates if you can tolerate unsatisfactory customer service
I will say from the beginning my situation is unusual in that my property has two services, one for the home and a separate one for guard lights. It took many months of communication with customer service, supervisors, and even a letter to the company president before they were able to (a) realize I had two services, (b) put them together in one account so I would receive only one bill. Their email notifications of bills still do not add both amounts together for the correct bill amount, and they are unable to make both service plans end on the same date, making me choose new plans twice instead of once.

Stop Looking - Get Bounce!
I have been using Bounce Energy for almost 2 years now. I was referred by a friend and it has been the best ever since. I had been another company for 1.5 years but their prices just kept rising every time I renovated the contract.

Cheating their customers with some promotions
Bounce energy puts some promotions and lower bills first three months but after that they put lots of extra fees even if you have lowest rate per kwh. I also bad experience with 3 months fixed plan. I did not renew for new fixed rate and I left bounce energy. They charged me $135 early termination fee. The last thing I hate Bounce energy they charged me late fee around $3 and disconnect notice $20 even if I set up autopayment. Something was wrong their system but they charged me these extra fees. They are just finding reason to charge. This company put lots of referral and promotion awards but they took all of them in 3-4 months from you.

Horrible Customer Service
I defaulted so they say on my payment arrangement I can't be granted another arrangement for 90 days. I am a low income mother with 4 kids in Texas. The arrangement was for 2weeks out from June 19th which is July 3rd. Now they're saying the 1st which is 2 days and I've never defaulted on arrangement before. One mistake and be in the dark is what they say. I have been with them for 6 years just change my plan to a contract after 6 years and put on balance billing to help. I guess now since I'm locked in a contract they mistreat me

I have been using since around 2 years and no problems with bills and payments, quick customer service, low rates. Both my mother and I have used Bounce Energy for about 3 years. Our bills are always low. My neighbor has TXU and his bill is $50 higher then mine all the time. The rewards are awesome for paying your bill on time. I have collected over $325 in rewards over 3 years. You receive a new reward after every 6 on time payments. You choose your reward. Now after being on time for 3 straight years, I get an extra 3% of my monthly bill as well. Low cost energy with rewards. You can't go wrong with Bounce.

You will not receive your full reward from Bounce!
I just finished my Tremendous24 program and 3% cash back. Upon renewing, Bounce was not competitive and I have switched to another provided. I was on auto pay and paid all bills on time. I received my reward for the first 12 months, but Bounce stole my last 12 months. The fine print states you have to be an active customer (meaning I must have been a customer on month 25) to get your reward. They basically stole $100 from me. An experience like this make me glad I am no longer a customer.

The utility company that pays you to be a customer
If you're not with Bounce energy you're definitely missing out. Service renewal is seamless, billing is transparent and straight forward, and the perks are great.Prepaid visa cards just because and now 3% off my monthly bill as a result of 36 months of on-time payments. I even got a credit on my bill one month, with no prior fanfare or noise. This is what I really like about Bounce, other companies sneakily stiff you, Bounce quietly rewards you.I do get offers from other utility companies but I really have no desire or motivation to leave Bounce simply because I have everything I need right here. Stop looking... Bounce is the best!
I switched electricity providers every 6 months to a year until I switched to Bounce over two years ago. I have not been able to come up with a good reason to switch to another provider since then. Bounce has an awesome rewards program (no other provider I had ever used offered one) and their rates are competitive. Twice they have given me a 'match the rate' discount to keep me as a customer. The only times I have needed to contact them was before contract renewal times and their customer service was great. I am still the type of person who will check and make sure I am getting a good deal come my next renewal time period, but I couldn't be happier with Bounce right now. I've been with Bounce for over two years now and have had no problems. They literally reward you just for paying your bill on time. I switched electric companies every 6 months to a year until I switched to Bounce 2 years ago. I just renewed today for another year. I'm not sure if I will ever switch companies again... and that is a relief! Their customer service is great although I have not had to call them for much over the last two years. They offered me a 'beat the competitor's discount' to keep me as a customer as well as a bill credit. When you see other much lower rates - make sure you read the fine print as there is usually a catch. I have not had any problems with Bounce Energy over the last two years and highly recommend them! What other company out there offers a rewards program that pays YOU back??? None that I've found. Good luck with your search, but if I were you I'd stop here!

Overall, bounce energy gives me good rates and has great customer service. Every time I've called customer service they've been nothing but helpful and understanding. I live in a 1 story 3 bedroom home that's about 1500 sq ft and my bill never goes above $60 in the summer time. During the winter I only pay about $30!!

Failure to communicate and disconnection 2 weeks after due date
After having been a customer for over a year, and using the autopay option, I was not notified that the autopay had any issues. When I called in to Bounce, the girl could not even tell me what was wrong with the Autopay. In spite of the fact that I had also selected paperless billing, I received no email telling me that I was going to be disconnected until the minute that I was disconnected....which I should mention was 2 weeks after the due date - and the previous month was paid - not dilinquent. The customer service agent told me that they mail the disconnect notice - not email....although they do email you a notice at the same time that it is being disconnected. I received all other emails telling me that my December bill could be viewed - with no indication that there was any problem with the service. I also received a the regular usage summary. But NO disconnect notice. This is ludicrous. I should also mention that this occurred the day before the Thanksgiving break. I am told that it may be 24 hours before it is turned back on. 2 things: 1) It is ridiculous for them to have a policy to disconnect 2 weeks after due date, and 2) it is absurd that if you select paperless billing, that they do not send a disconnect notice until the exact day of disconnection - in my case it came through immediately as the power went off. It is worth it to me to pay the fee for canceling my contract and go with a different company, and continue to divert all of my contacts to alternate energy carriers.

Good prices, Great Promotions
I have no complaints with Bounce Energy. We are signed up for Auto-pay so we never miss a payment. The rates are reasonable and they offer a variety of promotional programs that can get you cash back or bill credits. We are on the cash back program and have had several $50 referral credits.

They aight.
Like I was saying. Bounce Energy is just "okay". Like don't get me wrong they're not all that bad, but they aren't all that great either. Everything is well until your plan is up. I had a 12 month plan and didn't notate when my plan was up and when the year went by I received no email or call no NOTHIN! I found out my plan was up with a $180 bill!!! I live by myself!! It is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Apparently they put me on a month to month plan without informing me. I called as soon as I realized what had happened and they did grant me a decent discount and updated my plan for me. The agent was courteous and understanding although I didn't get refunded the price different of what I had been paying for the past 3 months or so at the month to month rate. Bottom Line, if you are GREAT, FANTASTIC, AMAZING, at keeping track of your plans then go for it. But if you can avoid getting Bounce for any reason, go with someone else! I changed my plan to 6 months just to give them another shot, but I did it mainly out of convenience. There are better providers out there. And bounce is simply alright. OH, and their website is awful! Sometimes you can't even login and I rely a lot on paying my bill online, tough luck! Having said that, if you choose to go with bounce because of prices, then go with it, just be careful. Because ultimately you do what you gotta do regardless of service.

Great new experience
I recently moved to Texas from Florida and did not know where to start. I found out the hard way that Texas has 100 different electric companies to choose from. I did weeks of research before I landed on Bounce Energy. The customer service representative Kyle was awesome! He answered all of my questions from kWh, to base fee, to non-recurring fees etc. I think I had a full hour of questions for him. He explained the rewards program and signed me up with no problems. This will be my first month with Bounce Energy and hopefully more years with them. Gained another happy customer!

Not honest company. Reward program is a joke. Referral program is a joke.
They are kind of terrible service company. I've been with them for 3 years. When I referred my friend, they doubled my bill than the usual charge. When I asked them why? They explained that I have a monthly plan and that is the price of the market. But my friend was the same and she got much lower rate than me. When I told them about my friend rate, they said this is your rate and you cannot compare with the others. Then I canceled my account after 2 months. Later I found they did not give me the referral. They said because I canceled my account. But I canceled the account 2 months after my friend paid her bill. Don't go with this company. They do not have good service and customer service. The people over there are so rude. They do not take care of you. They are the worst I saw in Houston so far.

Rewards plan is a joke
I am waiting on my 24 month reward which is $100, and I am on month 27! I call and am always placed on hold, which is code for, we are going to give you the run-around.I signed up for paperless billing, no $5. Did their home survey, no $5. Another reward was a gift card, did not get it, got less than the gift card amount taken off my bill. Soon I will be able to switch companies, and I am going to!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent Rewards Program!
We've been with Bounce Energy for the past 2+ years and through their referral programs and cash-back rewards plan have accumulated over $600 of credits to our account. This is a significant amount of savings for us, since our typical bill is around $100 (single family ~2000 sqft home) this has covered 6 monthly payments! It's always nice to have the bill come in with ZERO dollars owed :)

$100 off your first months bill!
I've been with them for over 3 years, and don't plan on switching companies any time soon. I personally can't stand the heat and at my house the AC is on 24 hours a day, but my bill would never go higher than about $60 for my 2 bedroom apartment. I've been with them for over 3 years, and i've never had any issues or complaints. As far as for the rewards, I've ALWAYS received my reward (my favorite being my chickfila gift card).

No statement received when plan was about to expire!!
I was offered a promotional cash back rebate if bill was paid on time for consecutive months but when the last month was coming up for me to receive the rebate, the company forgot to email me my statement. What a coincidence! And since I rely on the emails to stay on top of the billing, well that threw me off and it cost me the rebate. I wasn't to pleased with that! Oh well, live and learn!

Buyers Beware!
I have been a Bounce Energy customer for over 6 years. When I didn't immediately renew my plan with them this year, my rate increased by 60% for the month of JULY, probably the hottest time of the year. When I called, I was on hold for over 20 minutes after pressing the "existing customer" option. When i was disconnected, I entered "new customer" option and held for only 5 minutes. Obviously Bounce is not interested in taking care of their existing customers. I will not make the mistake of using Bounce Energy again. Found another provider at half the cost.

Beware of Company's lack of communication when contract is about to expire!!!
I was with this company 5 years and my contract came up for renewal two months ago. Did they notify me of that...NO!!! But yet they charged me 2xs the rate I originally had for 2 years. I was entitled for a $100 credit or 1 month free electricity if I stayed with them for 2 years. Did I get it? No, I had to call and ask for my $ which they say it will be mailed 6 to 8 weeks...really!!! If this is how they thank you and treat you for being a loyal customer for 5 years I rather sign up for service with another company. Beware!!!!

Finally a company I plan to stay with!
I moved to Texas 5 years ago and switched electric companies every 6 - 12 months (from Startex to Frontier to Champion) until I switched to Bounce in January 2015. I expected to change again in January 2016 but I have been so happy with their service and with my bills... that I think I am going to stick with them for a while. Their rewards program is awesome! Even if you find a rate that is a little lower, Bounce's rewards will surely make up the difference if you pay on time. Customer service was great for the very few times I've had to call.

Long time customer
I've been a customer of Bounce for almost 5 years, through 4 moves. Their customer service is excellent. I've never had a billing issue or discrepancy. I've had a few questions that were answered promptly after contacting them.I've never had a connection or disconnection issue.I'm glad they're promoting more green energy in recent years.I wish they would revamp their website. It could use some updates and streamlining as far as user experience/interface. However, they've done a good job of making themselves accessible electronically and I appreciate that.They also have a pretty decent rewards systems - I'm receiving a $15 Starbucks gift card for paying on time 6 months in a row, which I would already do regardless.

The Best Energy Company I've Used so Far!
We had had many energy companies in the past and can honestly say Bounce is the best! The package we chose offered the smart learning Nest Thermostat which has been a great money saver! We had some trouble setting up, but they remedied our problems and credited our account for the trouble. 11 months into our relationship with Bounce, we are still thrilled!

Nice reward program
They have 4 different rewards program so when you reach the final level of your current reward program you can switch to a different rewards program. Their website is easy to use and setting up as well as canceling autopay is easy.

Impressed New Customer
Bounce has been great so far!! It was pretty easy to set up a new account (just call and the customer service rep will do everything for you), but what I really like about them are the promotions! They have a ton! My last electric company (BTX utilities) didn't do stuff like that, at least to my knowledge. I haven't had to pay yet, and I've been a customer for two months. That says a lot to me. I also was able to get a fully green plan, which was important to me. You can get $50 if you use a promotion code (that's what I did).

Great provider, excellent promotions.
We've been with bounce for over two years, and I must say that we are quite happy with our service. We have not experienced any outages and have taken advantage of many of the discount programs. Last month our entire bill was covered by referrals that we had made! Can't complain about that!

Great Company!
I've had Bounce Energy for a couple of years now in Alvin, TX. I've had absolutely no issues with them. I've even transferred services recently and was able to switch to a cheaper plan. I've read some of the negative reviews here and a few people mentioned that their kwh has doubled after switching plans - personally (in my opinion), I think their usage just went up so because of that, the "average kwh" that they are seeing on their bill is higher, which leads them to think that it is higher in general. That's not the case at all. It just shows the average kwh of what you're paying, which is in relation to, well, how much electricity you use.

Favorite electricity company so far
