Best Payless Power Plans as reviewed by Texas Electricity Ratings

12 Month

Our Rating:
Plan Term: 12 Months
Plan Type: Pre-paid

This is a good plan for folks who are looking to establish and rebuild their credit. It's got pretty fair electricity rates, locked in for 12 months, but it also comes with the advantage of not having any pricey deposits, as well as not being vulnerable to the pricing fluctuations that come with variable plans. It's good for renters, with a $15 bill credit for customers who use less than 500 kWh a month, but the rate for customers who use OVER 2000 kWh a month isn't bad either. This plan could be good for young people getting their first place, or even folks looking to a power a big home while they're trying to sell it, there's a lot of interesting fits for this plan to certain customers. The $99 early termination fee isn't bad either. That being said, there is a $1 per day recurring charge, which will add between $28 and $31 dollars a month to a customers bill.
thumb_upPros:
No deposit, locked in rate for 12 months without fluctuations, a somewhat flat rate across usage tiers, $15 bill credit for under 500 kWh of usage.
thumb_downCons:
The rates are high, and there's a 1 dollar a day charge, or $28-31 dollars a month in recurring charges.
